2 issues that I am having is that when I press the brake pedal the radio goes crazy ( interference). Dealer notified and apparently can not find anything wrong so no fix for it yet. The other issue is with cmbs it failed 2wice in the past 3 days. Conditions of the road were good, ( no snow, no rain) and the traffic was not heavy. Both times the system fails to operate mid cruse and shuts off. The only way to get it to work is by restarting the car but this is not an option driving on a highway.

My sirius/xm radio reception is intermittent. I've had it to the dealer twice and they were unable to diagnose the problem. Internet searches suggest this is not an uncommon problem with Honda vehicles. Has this problem been reported to NHTSA and is NHTSA considering a recall?.
While I am driving my car shuts off. The radio and lights stays on but everything on dash is off, milage and speed. I have had everything tested but there is nothing wrong. In Jan 2020 I had this recall issue addressed at the dealer or at least I thought I did. It doesn't matter what I am doing when car shuts off. At stop light, turning the corner, on freeway. . . After car shuts off, I put car in park and try to restart. 90% of the time car wont restart. Pumping gas pedal doesn't help. Actually sometimes it starts and then just shuts off again or starting the car doesn't seem completed, maybe because my foot was on the gas pedal, car raves up but drops right down/off. I have been tapping the battery terminals with rubber handle of screwdriver and that seems to allow my car to start. Sometimes I drive 200 miles and it does not happen. It happens once in 90 days or twice in one week or twice in one day. This has been going on for three or four years. It is just happening more often this past year. Also, the recalled airbag is taking too long. There should have been an airbag waiting for me seeing how Honda knew it was recalled and I was still driving the car. My teenage son sits in passenger seat and now that I know of the recall I fear for his life while I drive. Covid-19 is no excuse. Eight months waiting so far.

The seals around the doors, weather stripping is coming lose, seats are falling apart, the radio and navigation screen will go black and reboot itself. The collision control system will get you killed if you're not careful. I was getting onto the highway from a traffic light, had my turn signal on. As I'm merging onto the highway going about 50 mph, the car thinks I've fallen asleep or something. The car forcibly takes me back into the right lane and downshifts the car while braking? scared me to death. I was told it was because I didn't have a turn signal on. Luckily it was 3am or I could've been smashed. Also, the brake light will flash at times, no one is in front of you. Or it flashes like you're about to hit someone but doesn't do anything but flash. Also, if you drive any length, it system will state that the driver has low attention span. Not sure why, it's not like I'm weaving. I think the car needs to feel some movement of the steering or it thinks you're nodding off. The car salesman warned me that the new bells and whistles, technology, could have issues because the tech is new but nothing specific. Try to sell me 3800 in warranty to cover tech. Thought it was strange at the time. Now, I'm thinking that he knew specifics and didn't share.
My radio/ccd player has stopped working. Turn it on and all you get is static. I would like to have it working again any suggestions? when I use my radio the vehicle is moving. It might not be important to you but it is to me. I have never had this happen in my cars.

Intermittent problem starting the car. At times the car would start normally after the first turn of the key. At other times it may take more than one turn of the key or as many as 7 to 10 turns of the key for the car to start. The transmission was in park at all times. Before the car started, all electrical equipment such as radio, windshield, a/c, dashboard lights were working as normal. This condition has been going on for several weeks. There was no work done on the car; all electrical and engine parts the same as when the car was first purchased.
Push button start is not responding on a regular basis. When button is pushed, the battery is activated and all lights and radio are operational, however the car does not start. Battery has been tested and all connections seem to be working properly. V6 models of this car have had a service bulletin 16-002 issued for starter, however my car is a four cylinder and therefore not eligible to be looked at under service bulletin. . Issue can happen after several starts during the day, after sitting in cold or garage. It does not seem to make a difference whether the car has been running or not. Car has 102,000 miles on it, and is in good condition. There are many complaints online regarding this same situation with my model, seems as though it is the exact same issue as with the v6. This is an ongoing and random issue. I have never been unable to start the car after several tries, but not sure if this luck will end soon.

I am having intermittent issues with my car starting. It does one click and won't start. There is no turning over. It looks like my radio isn't resetting when it happens. I took it to the Honda dealership and they said my battery is 100%, my starter is fine, and my alternator is fine as well. An hour after leaving the dealership it didn't start again. Connections aren't corroded. I have to attach a battery jump start pack to start my car every time to fails. I have read forums that have claimed there was an issue with faulty starters for 2013-2015 Honda Accords, but they do not have a legal recall. My car is just under 50k miles at 49,600, and likely is just out of the warranty mileage.
The cd radio has stopped working. It makes clicking sounds and says mecha error. Now I can't play or eject any of my 6cd's. I am very mad a frustrated!!! all I did was turn on the car and the radio.

Since purchasing the vehicle in July and especially over the course of the last two months the car has been exhibiting errors with the cpu (Honda sensing) system on board. The transmission also seems to exhibit issues which I have taken up with the dealership on two occasions where it appears to shift hard under light acceleration and even under passing power. Also, upon accelerating, the car will seem to bog down like it has a air intake issue(sensation feeling) it does it from stop and go at times and also when at speed. I have noticed that when it rains it seems to be even more pronounced as well. The other issue has been the Honda sensing. As of late I have found myself turning off certain "safety" features out of fear of them malfunctioning after two freak incidents. Twice when at speeds on the hwy, the emergency mitigating brake has engaged with no traffic around or in front me, basically slamming on the brakes which is extremely dangerous another time the steering has tried to yank me into another lane thinking I have gone off the road, the road mitigation system. These issues could have proven very dangerous in both situations if vehicles were next to me or behind me and these issues with a brand new car are not making me feel safe to drive the car. Also, another new item which I have caught on camera is the radio head unit has now began to shut off intermittently during normal operation for no apparent reason or cause. I have had the recall on the back up camera completed already. But these errors still continue. The car is going to the dealership on Thursday, 11/7/2018 to get these looked into, but this is the 3rd time the car has had to go to the dealership since purchase in July for non regular maintenance. I am going to only deal with this a few more times before I hire a lemon law attorney.
I was driving down a busy road in my town and no cars were in front of me and I did not lane departure at all and the car suddenly came to a complete stop almost for no reason thankfully no cars were behind me. This also happened again when I was on the freeway there was no car in front of me and the car behind me was coming up fast luckily they noticed my car braking and got over. Sometimes my computer system shuts off and my radio and my whole dash if frozen I can't do the touchsceeen or any of the side buttons as none of it will work they only way for it work is to turn my car off and turn it back on. The backup camera also takes a while to go on I put my car in reverse and the screen is black and I put it in park and reverse again and it works perfectly fine.
Car developed problems starting. All lights, radio, etc would turn on but the starter will not start the vehicle. It began slowly and got increasingly worse with time. Problem got even worse after the recalled battery sensor was replaced.
Once a year while driving the front end of the car starts making a loud thumping noise. It almost sounds like the engine is thumping against the front hood. The car will then completely break down. When trying to start the car again it will not start, but the lights and radio will turn on. When I took my car to Honda the advisor first advised the piston rings in the engine needed to be replace, but I guess since the car service manager did not want to replace it he had the team replace my stark plugs.

While talking on the phone the display auto screen went blank and after a few minutes it rebooted. On may 29th, I took it to a local dealership and they couldn't find a problem. Soon as I left the dealership it happened again. This time when I got off the phone the audio display froze. I couldn't get on the home screen, change the radio station. Then after a few minutes it turned off and rebooted itself. I called the local dealership the next day to report the issue. I purchased the car in Dec 2017and this incident happened more than once.
We have found that are 2009 Honda Accord has a parasitic draw we have to pull fuses so the battery does not go dead within hours. Have tried new batteries, charge batteries. Through our own research people are calling this problem a parasitic draw from the battery and its a matter of tracing wires down and pulling fuses. And if you want to use car without running battery down my husband has pulled a fuse or two but this disables several things radio, some dashboard functions. Which if it keeps going could be problematic on the function of the Honda maybe affecting lights eventually or other safety features. So would like to see how many other people are experiencing this problem and how bad it can get and how it can be fixed. Some people were disconnecting wires to remedy the problem and don't want to do that. When we bought car it had to be jump started. So the problem has only increased as time has passed.

I have a 2015 Honda Accord lx. I started experiencing problems with the stereo approx November 2016. When I would toggle between the radio pre-sets I would loose everything, now sound no stations. It is not till after I shut my car off for a few minutes that it will reset. I have taken video and an actual service advisor at the Honda dealership has seen what it is doing. Since they could not figure out why it was doing this, they replaced the stereo with, which I thought was a new one, but it was a re-manufactured one I found out after I went to connect my phone back to my car and a bunch of names popped up in the phone area. I was told Honda will only authorize a re manufactured one. The stereo that was installed now it doing the same thing. I took it back to the dealership and was told that it was my iphone and I needed to get a new phone. My phone has nothing to do with the actual radio stations. Bluetooth, itunes and pandora yes my phone affects those but not the radio. And if it was my phone then how can I make calls when it all was not working?.
I was driving as usual to work on I-405 with 55-60m/h speed and suddenly heard a blast, like somebody shot me through window. I was in such a shock that almost lost control of my steering. But somehow managed to stay in lane. As my office was pretty close, I decided to inspect what happened after reaching there. However, while driving to office, I continued to be scared and in trauma and could also hear air coming in the car. By the time I reached office I had a hint that something is wrong with my sunroof, or it is open. After coming out of my car in the office parking I saw this huge hole in the sunroof glass. And pieces of glass shattered in the sunroof flap. Because of seattle's dark cloudy climate, I usually keep my sunroof flap open for some light to come in. To my luck, this morning it was closed. Otherwise, my four months old almost lost her mother or I could be miserably hurt with tiny glass pieces. Following day on Saturday,12/31/2016, I called local Honda service manager, and he said it will cost me $770 for fixing the sunroof. He said Honda will not cover it because the sunroof glass had warranty limited to 3 years and 30,000miles which is expired. So, indirectly Honda said, we will keep on supplying faulty sunroof glass. If it explodes within warranty period, we will at the least cover for it. And if your warranty is expired and you die because of it, we don't care. Also, Honda said that I cannot get sunroof glass fixed before Tuesday, 1/3/2017 because they can't get the glass ordered before Tuesday as everybody including Honda are vacationing for new years. As there was snow storm warning on 12/31/2016 and my husband was out of town, I in severe cough and cold had to rush to nearest lowes with my 4 months old also coughing, to get a tarp and duct tape, so that I could seal the sunroof and protect the car's interiors.
2013 Honda Accord won't start. Lights, a/c, radio, windows work. This occurred after 50,000 miles. I would have to turn steering column at first to get it to start. Now it doesn't start at all! the vehicle is stationary.
Vehicle factory radio changes stations on its own and unexpectedly. This happens when the vehicle is stopped or moving. Vehicle heavily consumes oil. It requires 1. 5 - 2 quarts of oil be added between scheduled oil changes.

Headlights on low beam have a sharp top side cutoff that makes seeing the road and signs and objects difficult to see at night. Also when going down hill and if the road rises sharply, you cannot see very far ahead, I almost hit someone crossing a street because of this. Also, the heater/ac controls are needlessly complicated, as are the radio controls. Where one knob could control the on/off and fan speed, this car has three separate small buttons where you must take yours eyes off the road to find. The same applies to changing the temperature; there are two up/down separate buttons, where one simple knob would work. The radio, too has too many needless buttons to push. If texting is dangerous while driving, they have made this car dangerous to change almost any control. There should be the rule that controls be kept as simple as possible. I understand that the Lexus even has a separate mouse you must use to change settings! it has gotten out of control.
While driving on 414 maitland, out of no where I heard a loud "pow!" though I didn't feel like it, I thought a bird or meteorite or street light cover had fallen from the sky and landed on my vehicle. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw a black square object fall from the sky and the car behind swerve out of its way. At that point I could hear small pieces of something bouncing around in the pocket between the moon roof and the cover, and rolling on, over and off of the my car. I pulled over to investigate the matter more thoroughly, expecting to see a dead bird, blood & feathers, or a rock, or a street light cover sitting in the area where my moon roof glass use to be, instead I found a huge gaping hole(approx. 12" x 17" in the middle of my moon rood and the remainder of the glass around the perimeter of the hole arched like a hill. I determined that the "pow!" I heard was the glass exploding, and the black piece of something that was falling from the sky in my rear view was the portion of glass. I it was cloudy and looked like it might ran, so I immediately went to the nearest shop (publix) and bought a box of 2 mil contractor garage bags, some shipping tape and taped one of the bags of the top of the vehicle. I then retraced my path I the interstate to make sure that something didn't fall from the sky and that the glass had in fact exploded. I found nothing, except the shards of glass that was once my moon roof. I then went home, parked the car and began research "exploding moon roof". Come to find out this is not an alien occurrence and specifically with this manufacturer, year, make & model. Https://www. Bogleheads. Org/forum/viewtopic. . Read more...
Hanging a handicap placard from the auto dimming rear view mirror caused a wiring harness short. The short was intermmitent at first and caused a partial loss of accessories (ac, radio, etc. ) while driving. Within 5 miles of the loss of accessories, a hard short occurred and the vehicle could not be started. Luckily the vehicle had been parked when this condition occurred dealer refused to cover repair under warranty indicating that the condition was caused by an outside source (the handicap placard). I appealed to american Honda 7/13/16 and the same decision was upheld.

The radio/cd player hasn't worked about 95% of the life of this car. When it does in fact decide to turn on out of nowhere, it creates an extremely loud static noise that greatly startles the driver, which could potentially be a dangerous situation.

The navigation system on my 2005 Accord sedan is not working. The screen displays "check your disk" but it also affects the a/c-heater fan control, radio preset stations, clock settings, steering wheel controls. This to me is a manufacturer defect and should be recalled. Many people are having the same or similar issue. My main concern is the lack of not being able to adjust the fan on either a/c or heater, it seems to all be connected to the navigation system. Please help! this needs to be looked at as a safety recall, in case of foggy window I will not be able to increase the fan control. How do I know you took my concern in consideration? once again, please help!.

Since purchased new in 2013, the radio sometimes will not get a lot of static and fuzz. To clear up the static, we have to pull over to side of the highway and turn the ignition off then restart the car and radio plays clearly. I learned this technique from a Honda forum.
It so far has happened to me twice that I need to jump-start the car. There probably has some electrical leakage issues or something related to it. The first time it was more than a year ago that when I came earlier to a doctor appointment waiting for the clinic to open, I turned off the car and left the cd player on. But it only played for about half an hour or so it turned off automatically due to the battery power has already been depleted and the card could not start at all that I had to call aaa after the doctor appointment to jump-start for me. I thought at that time it was due to the cd player took too much power so I did not complain about it. But the second time it was a few weeks ago on Sunday, which give me the concerns that there must be some electrical leakage on my car. After parking for the church meeting and turned off the car, both my wife and I decided to open the window a little bit to let the air flows in the hot weather since we parked under a covered parking and would not worry about possible rainfall. So before we open the doors, we opened both front windows a very little bit and left for the meetings. Then about 3. 5-4 hours later when it was time to go home, we found out the car would not start, and we had to ask for help to jump-start it again. This time it gave a definite guess that there must be some electrical leakage in the car. I also complained in early June of this year about the steering wheel lock issue. I received a mail from Honda to fix it, but when I call the dealers, none of them even offer loaner cars for such recall and manufacture failure repairs. Honda is bad for things like this. I don't know whether I should purchase Honda again in the future. I never complained once for my Toyota for years. Even they schedule for manufacture recalls, which I never encounter myself, I did not have to worry about the loaner car.
2003 Honda Accord. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle factory installed radio, components and back light defect issues. Consumer sent additional correspondence. The consumer stated recently, the cd player would not function properly and most importantly, the radio began to malfunction and drain the battery. The radio would flash on and off while both the radio, all components and vehicle were turned off and the key out of the ignition. After sitting overnight, the vehicle would not start the next morning. On two occasions after driving, the consumer shut the vehicle off for five minutes and it would not re-start. The consumer stated the vehicle would stall and it was all because of the defective radio. A mechanic informed the consumer, they had recently come across numerous 2003-2007 vehicle with the exact same problem. They found the problem was due to the way Honda installed and mounted the radio, coupled with the fact that the brains of the radio was defective, therefore draining the battery and causing the radio and back light to fail. The back light worked occasionally and then stopped illuminating.

The car radio does not work, it will turn off suddenly and then without warning at any time will come back on and the loud unanticipated noise startles the driver. This happens even if the radio switch is turned off.
This is a nightmare. Honda Accord 2014. Last night my windows and sunroof automatically opened; there have been other random electrical problems, see below. The opening of the windows occurred during a rain storm and my brand new Honda is filled with water. The dash is blank and the phob key radio searching light is not blinking; so there was a short that caused this to happen. I will never buy a Honda again. If you are having any of the problems listed below, pay attention to them because I kept thinking they were just random little issues but they were precursors to this very big issue. My car is totaled!!! pay attention to the small stuff and save your life and get rid of your car. My trunk randomly opened, parked and driving. My tire pressure light is always on, even after being reset and tires checked. I'd get in my car and find the sunroof partially opened over night. There is a weird rattle in my car in the front area, sounds like its in the dash board, but could never isolate it.
