The contact owns a 2019 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while pulling into the street, the light was green, and she noticed a vehicle coming in fast into a turning light, and when he turned, she braced for impact. The air bags deployed, but upon impact to the head, the air bag exploded and instantly felt burning in her stomach, her hand, and all the way up to her shoulder. The vehicle was not drivable. This Honda Cr-v had a sudden surge of acceleration while the brake pedal was pressed. The brake pedal was stepped off to put car into drive, but then the car suddenly went forward over 30 mph and crashed into a fence and tree in the driveway straight across from it about 5 feet away. The airbag did not immediately deploy, but deployed a minute later. The entire front end of the car was destroyed. The driver tried to press the brake, shift into neutral and even turn the key of the car off to shut it off but none of those worked. This car was purchased at carmax in may 2025 and had no issues per them. There were no warning lights on the car prior to this.

I was involved in an accident which resulted in my c-RV being totaled. Another vehicle pulled out immediately in front of me and I crashed into it. None of my airbags deployed. My vehicle's emergency response system was activated- it called emergency response and kept repeating that a crash had been detected. The front of my car was crushed in and the impact sent the vehicle that pulled out in front of me, a Toyota 4runner, doing a full roll and ending up on its side. Clearly, the airbags should have activated. I purchased the Cr-v new, was the only owner, the vehicle had less than 5,000 miles on it, had never been in an accident, and there were no warning lights or messages indicating any problem with the airbag system prior to the accident. The car was deemed a total loss by my insurance company.

No problem.
I was driving my crv and a deer was in the road. I hit the deer going 40mph. It blew out the whole front of my car, my sensors, headlights, both fenders and my hood are dented. No airbags deployed or any sensors alerted me of the object or leaving the roadway. Also when I hit the deer, I lost all steering on that moment. I had to turn off my car and then back on to get my steering to release.

Wife was rear ended by tractor trailer while sitting still going in the back of another vehicle and no airbags deployed causing wife to hit head on steering wheel.
My vehicle was involved in a very bad accident and deemed a total loss due to all the front end damage. Serious injuries occurred and none of the air bags deployed.
My front passenger seat weight sensor is faulty and shows as "off" when a large passenger is in the seat. An independent service center has scanned and confirmed the faulty sensor. I see crv recalls for both the sensors and airbags, but my VIN does not return a result.

Got this vehicle about a year and a half ago at full price from local dealership. It looks like it has been pieced together with many other Hondas. The check engine light has been on ever since. The car keeps yet no camera. Just tried to get inspected. So far charged 2500 but was given a pass on inspection only for the light to come back on. I noticed on the back of repair paperwork this car has 2 airbag recalls. I feel duped I feel like this is attempted murder. I feel scared and sad. Something must be done with used car purchases.

On October 2025 there was a mass incident in different areas of queens NY in were airbags from Honda crvs were stolen. The vehicle was sent to a body shop to have the airbag replaced but american Honda motor CO. , inc does not have any available to distribute. We have reached out to them but there respond has been " we apologize for any inconvenince or delay this matter has caused you. Currently the part(s) eta is to be determined. " no dealer has extra parts and the part cant be found anywhere else. We are looking to get this resolved being that 3 months have now passed and there is no "eta" of the part being available for costumers. It is not something that should be happening to a loyal costumer that has purchased a vehicle without having the option to get parts (as per american Honda they are not out of stock and they are manufacturing but they are just not available for distibution). In cases like this parts should be available to be replaced in cases of an emergency, let alone a safety part like an airbag.

Continuous illumination of all lights on the dash. We have to reset the battery to clear the codes and it will do it again but the timing differs. Now, I am getting the “airbag srs system problem” that pops up and then goes away when the vehicle is restarted. This has been going on for over a year. We have replaced the alternator and continue to try and find the actual malfunction as a code reader just lists all things being illuminated. We are not the first, not the only, and definitely not the last crv owners with this issue. Fix this!!!! I’m highly disappointed in Honda.
Power door locks do not work and driver side door lock can't be push down at all and will not open when locked.

Srs light came on 2 months ago. Fear for my safety. Recall please. Electrical. Back rt window and rt front door lock cannot be operated from front driver door. Lighting. Back interior light does not turn off automatically. Paint is peeling from all over the car, especially on the front of it. Looks ghastly.

Air bag is malfunctioning and Honda diagnosed and stated I was responsible because warranty has expired.
The contact owned a 2014 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph on a two-lane road, the contact pressed the brake pedal to avoid rear-ending the vehicle in front. The contact indicated that when pressing the brake pedal, the driver's air bag erroneously deployed, causing the driver to lose control of the steering and crash into a guardrail, where the vehicle came to a stop. The vehicle in front was not crashed into and left the scene after witnessing the crash into the guardrail. The contact sustained severe facial and oral injuries along with a concussion, chest and arm bruising, which required medical treatment. A police report was filed at the scene. The vehicle was destroyed and towed away. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The dealer was not contacted. The contact was also concerned that metal fragments may have exploded from the air bag deployment. No additional information was available. The failure mileage was 70,000.

Drivers air bag and cable reel defective.
The contact owns a 2013 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while in a commercial parking garage, a second vehicle crashed into the rear of the vehicle, causing the driver to inadvertently press the accelerator pedal and lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle accelerated forward and crashed into a truck before crashing head on into a pole. During the failure, the vehicle sustained severe front end damage, but no air bags deployed. The contact sustained neck and back injuries, which were treated at the scene and later at the urgent care medical facility. The contact indicated that the vehicle was destroyed and later towed to the home. No police report was taken. The cause of the failure has not yet been determined. The local dealer was notified of the incident. The manufacturer had not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 72,000.
I was parking in our apartment's parking lot when I attempted a left turn to pull in front-facing toward the wall. Within seconds, and without understanding how or why, the car continued forward and hit the wall. Initially, I reported to the insurance company that I either didn’t brake or found the brake too late. However, the truth is—I do not clearly remember what happened. My mph had to be low. When the car hit the wall, several emergency systems were triggered: an automatic emergency call was made, collision alerts sounded, and the brakes activated. During the collision, my left arm was burned by the steering wheel where the Honda logo is located. The burn left a visible imprint of the Honda logo on my skin. Only some of the airbags deployed: the steering wheel and right-side window airbags were activated. However, the driver's side window airbags did not deploy. My concerns and complaints include: 1. The failure of the driver’s window airbag to deploy 2. The burn on my arm caused by the steering wheel’s Honda emblem 3. The inconsistent performance of the emergency braking system, which only works sometimes.
The driver side, curtain airbag deployed incorrectly. The airbag deployed at an angle. Instead of the airbag going down to provide a barrier between the window and the driver, the air bag slid to the right hand side of the driver's head. This meant that the driver's head was squeezed between the window and the airbag for two or three minutes until the airbag deflated. The car seat airbag was deployed as well. The collision happened at a 30 degree angle. The driver was stopped and the oncoming driver was traveling 10-15 mph. The rear door on the driver's side was struck and was the only door damaged. No windows were damaged. The vehicle is a total loss and is being towed by the insurance company to be auctioned and salvaged.
