I looked up my VIN I'd to see it had a air bag recall. I then call my local Honda dealer to see when I could take vehicle in for the recall. They stated bring it ant time. I also received a safety recall notice from Honda. On 10/27/2020 I took the vehicle to have the air bag replaced. As it turn out on the paper work when contacted to pick up the vehicle it stated air bag inspection complete. I later called the dealer to find out that it was not replaced but only inspected. This was done by Honda spreen. Is inspection only correct or replacement correct. Should the recall have replaced the actual device. Does this recall cover both driver and passenger side air bag on this vehicle?.

Three issues - 1 - the knob on my shift broke and popped off. The plastic broke, and rendered the button useless. 2 - the passenger side airbag works intermittently. Does not seem to be impacted by weight, but the light comes on sometimes other times it does not. 3 - the side panel of the seat that holds the electronics for the seat popped off and does not go back on. Another junk piece of plastic. This has caused the seat to adjust unexpectedly.

I have been notified of a recall for my crv. "that the steering wheel may contain "burrs" which can damage the cable reel sub harness and cause a short circuit, this can cause inoperative steering wheel buttons, horn and uncommanded deployment of drivers side airbag. Srs may not function in crash and uncommanded deployment of airbag increases risk of crash and injury. " 3 people have already been injured. When I contact Honda for this recall repair they tell me the parts are not available yet and they do not know when they will be. I requested alternative transportation be provided me until recall repair completed. Honda told me they had to review my "case" first, this would not happen until next week. I have no car to drive unless I drive a car that is unsafe due to Honda not repairing it immediately. They need to provide all people involved in this recall with alternative transportation or repair the problem immediately.
We were traveling on a road at 55 mph. Another vehicle abruptly pulled out in front of us at 10 mph. Our driver attempted to avoid collision by swerving to the right median. The impact was our front driver side hitting the other driver's back passenger side. According to witness statements, our car went air born and into a multiple spin situation. We took out a guard rail. Damage was sustained on all sides of the vehicle, except the roof. Vehicle was totaled. Police ruled fault was the other driver. We were wearing seat belts. Luggage flew out the back window, approximately 30 feet into the road. The side airbags deployed successfully. Neither front airbag deployed. Glass in windshield was shattered, but part of the guard rail (we think) took out the glass in a circular pattern on the passenger side.

Traversing thru an intersection, my Honda crv was t-boned on the passenger side. The side air bags inflated protecting myself and my wife. The momentum of the collision pushed me into an oncoming vehicle such that the front end of the crv was also crushed. Neither of the front air bags inflated.

The driver's seat side air bag looks like it deployed or or was deflated or malfunction with no action taken when we noticed as we got into the car the next day. The seat with the side airbag was deflated or deformed or something. My wife was knows it was not like this because she would have noticed as did immediately when she sat down.

My husband and I had automobile accident on Nov 7 on a busy city street. I was the passenger. My husband hit a telephone pole at about thirty mph or less. The pole didn't split but I sustained serious enough injuries to be med-flighted to a boston due to internal bleeding in the abdomen and a broken wrist , two crushed fingers and multiple right side injuries. The air bags deployed and hit me hard. I also had my seat belt on prior to the accident when I came to, my seat belt wasn't secured. My husband was the driver and didn't receive any injuries yet the driver side air bag in steering wheel never came out nor did the seat air bag upon impact.

Takata recall, not issued for my vehicle passenger side airbag per Honda motor corp, Honda has refused to replace my airbag at this time. Honda motor company has provided information that my passenger side air bag was made by takata corp. As of this posting Honda informed me that the NHTSA has not issued a recall for my vehicles VIN number. Honda knows the takata air bags are defective but will not replace my passenger side airbag which was made by takata corp, because the NHTSA has not issued a recall for my VIN number of my vehicle. It took Honda over 2 weeks and a call to their corporate office to find out who the manufacturer was of my passenger side airbag, and they said it was takata, but the NHTSA has not issued a recall for my vehicle. Now, the dealer could not tell me who manufactured the airbag nor could the 800 customer service number at Honda, it took a phone call to corporate to find out, and yet the NHTSA has not issued a recall for my vehicles passenger side air bag based on VIN number. I guess they will wait until somone gets hurt, and then issue a recall.

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Cr-v. While seated in the driver's seat, the contact observed that the padding was collapsed inside the seat by the side air bag. The vehicle was taken to o'daniel Honda (located on 123 beverly dr, omaha, ne 68114) where it was diagnosed that the padding needed to be replaced. The vehicle was temporarily repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage and VIN were unknown.
Well I had the driver side repaired and then last year I believe I had the passenger side airbag replaced also, but the passenger side airbag symbol is showing up again on my car what can I do cause they want to charge me for a diagnosis but it is showing the symbol of the airbag as it did before so the airbag symbol comes on and off sometimes it stays on the whole day and then the next day it does nothing so its being going on and off occasionally.

The contact owned a 2015 Honda Cr-v. While driving 55 mph, the contact fainted. The contact crashed into a parked vehicle, scraped two vehicles, and the contact's vehicle stopped on the other side of the street. Only the driver's side air bag deployed and a white substance emitted into the vehicle. The contact was pulled out of the vehicle by two individuals. A police report was filed. The contact suffered extensive injuries to the left side of the body (broken ribs, wrists, etc. ) and the head. Medical treatment was required. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a yard. The contact had not spoken with a dealer because there was no air bag failure until a crash occurred. The contact reported the failure to the insurance company and the manufacturer. Takata recall - on September 11th 2015, I got the driver's side air bag of my 2003 Honda crv replaced after months of waiting. I have until this day still received notifications from Honda that they still need to replace the drivers side air bag. I called the 1-844-758-9245 number of Honda's to determine what the issue is. They informed me that there is now a passenger side air bag recall and they said this is why I am still receiving the driver's side airbag notice. This sound suspicious to me. Why is Honda telling me their is a passenger side recall now but I have never received notice for this? why can they not report the successful completion of the drivers side replacement? why has this whole process taken years at this point?.

Almost a year ago I recieved a recall for the passenger side airbag for my car with reports of serious injury/death. I called all local dealerships. No one has the airbag available to change. They promised to call when the airbag became available. I just received another recall notification in which Honda recommends no one sit in the passenger seat. And yet there are still no local dealerships willing to give me a date to install a new one. Please help! this is absurd that Honda thinks I can just not put a person in the passenger seat. This problem needs priority given the risk of personal harm. Honda needs to give me a reasonable time frame to fix this! a year with no answer is just horrible!!!!!.

Dealer was contacted Jun 30, 2016. Driver side airbag remedied Aug 11, 2016 but passenger side still not remedied. Honda says parts on order but cannot give time estimate of availability.
Takata recall hello, we called Honda on 5/31/16 to order a new passenger side airbag. At the time we were told that it would take a couple months to arrive. I called Honda customer service on 7/29/16 for an update and was provided with case #4880672. On either Monday or Tuesday 8/22-23, we received a call from fletcher jones Honda in chicago that the airbag we had ordered was in. We were told it would take roughly 3 hours to replace. I made an appointment for Friday 8/26 at 10:30am. When I arrived, I was told that they were also going to replace the driver's side airbag free of charge. I was told the service to replace the passenger side and driver's side airbag would be 4-5 hours. Around 3:15 I received a phone call that my car was ready, but they were not able to replace the passenger's side airbag because after they had opened everything up to put int the replacement bag, they could not find the parts. I was told I would receive a call from the service manager and as of today 9/6, I still have not. My main issues are: -I ordered the passenger side airbag on 5/31 and over 3 months later, still do not have the part -we are putting ourselves in harm's way by driving with a faulty airbag -I took off a day of work and waited 4. 5 hours on 8/26 for a service that wasn't even performed and I will have to go back to the city and do the same again. -no one has been able to give me any concrete information as to when the airbag should arrive. Thank you, suzanne torres sktorres@wisc. Edu 732-403-9571.
In March of 2016, I received a recall notice to repair the driver side airbag of my crv. I was told that I would get notice when parts came in. In July of 2016 I received notice that the passenger side airbag would need repair. I called Honda customer service a few weeks ago and they were going to contact me. So far, no call back and no repairs. Do I need to get into a front end accident, with injuries, to get these repaired. I like this car but do not want to drive it anymore until these recalls are completed.

Honda has exceeded recall complaint #10898004. For both driver and passenger side airbags. Not CO-operating in giving a loaner either till reports done on 8/24/16. 2 Honda vehicles in our household.
Takata recall I first called Honda about the recall in March of 2016. They told me they would have parts until the summer and to call back in July. I expressed my concern about the safety of the vehicle and the response was "I't just as unsafe as it has been for the last 9 years". Really comforting. I called back in July and they were on a two week wait to repair the driver side airbag. On July 22, they loaned me a vehicle to drive in the interim. On August 8, they repaired my driver airbag but still did not have parts for the recalled passenger airbag. They took back the loaner and said that all of my passengers need to ride int he back seat until they can fix it. This is an absurd solution for a family. I purchased a family sized vehicle to transport my large family. I started a case with Honda corporate that day and they told me they would review it and get back to me in 3 business days. I called several times after not hearing from them and finally heard back from them today, August 24. They would not authorize another loaner for the passenger airbag recall and said that I could drive the unsafe vehicle for another week until the parts came in. The customer service with Honda is very poor. I understand millions of people are calling because of this recall but I also understand that millions of people don't want to put their families at risk. Honda only cares about the money, not the people. To tell a family that a great solution is for every one to sit in the back seat is not helping. I know these things take time, and I'm happy to be patient as long as you are working with me as well. Honda is not doing this.
Takata recall: Honda USA insists that a driver continues to drive a car without fixing a passenger-side air bag once a driver-side air bag is replaced. I have to drive with my family in my car time to time. Honda must provide a rental car for customers until the passenger airbag is fixed. I called the Honda USA three times; their case manage never called me back since last week.
Takata airbags - since the recall was announced and the first letter received, November- December 2015, the date upon which the parts would be available to replace the airbags has continued to be pushed back. It is now August 2016 and my daughter, who drives the car, leaves for college in 8 days, and she will be driving her car. Meanwhile another letter arrives last week saying that the passenger side airbag is also recalled in addition to the driver's side. Why a company such as Honda would have hid this knowledge from the very first recall is appalling, my daughter is not eligible for the rental car they are offering because she is not yet 21. Again, she leaves in 8 days for her first year of college. Initially, I used the Honda website to enter the cars information and very the recall. I provided a place to click and choose a dealership to replace the parts. Only problem is the even though it let you choose a dealership, it did not share with the dealership the cars info so that the parts could be ordered. I suppose this should not matter since the company can not repair the airbags and leaves my daughters life in danger. Et, their Honda website was not as efficient as they would like it to seem.
Takata recall I just had my air bag replaced on the drivers side now I see that some passenger side air bags are being replaced in some 2008 Cr-v . How do I know if my passenger side air bag is going to come up later on a recall Honda said I can take it to a dealer and pay to have the air bag number looked at. Im scared to drive my car now knowing that my passenger side might be faulty to . I already did that not knowing for years that my driver side was know good.
Takata recall. I got a notice about the passenger side air bag. I called to get it repaired but the dealer does not have the part and will not provide a loaner car. The only thing they suggested was to not let anyone ride in the front seat until they get the part and no one knows when that will be. School starts next week and I have 4 kids ages 7 to 13 that I have to drive to school. One child sits in the front seat. I do not have another car. How am I going to get these kids to school? not having anyone in the front seat is not a solution to this problem. I called Honda and they assigned a case worker and said they would call back someday but they could not say when but could be over a week.
Takata recall since July 18, 2016 I have made five calls to Honda to inquire of estimated time arrival for parts of passenger side airbag. No eta was able to be given to me. Honda reps suggested that they were working diligently to solve problem, and strongly advised that passenger seat should not be used. One rep stated that it could be until 2017 for parts to arrive to my local Honda dealer. Reps have stated that my case #04965364 has been appointed a case manager, but no case manager has ever contacted me. Since 8/04/2016, I have made three requests for alternative transportation, but no one from Honda has contacted me to expedite this request. In a nutshell, my complaint focuses on the fact that Honda advises not to use passenger side seat of vehicle for a still undetermined length of time, yet will not provide me with an alternative form of transportation until such time as parts are ready to remedy airbag recall.
Takata recall. Our vehicle was recalled in may of 2016 for the driver's side airbag. Honda leased a vehicle to drive until our car was repaired. Appx. 1 1/2 months. We just received another recall for the same vehicle stating that the passenger side airbag must be replaced. Honda is refusing to supply a vehicle this time stating that no one should ride in the front passenger seat until the bag has been replaced. Possibly sometime in the fall of this year. They stated that if we were in an accident and the airbag deployed it could cause injury or death. Thair remedy is to have one of us to set in the back seat while the other drives. If we have more then four people, we should drive two cars. Can anyone help us with this situation?.
Takata recall--I first received the front airbag recall in April 2016 and immediately put my car on the wait list at dch Honda to get replaced. I got a second recall notice for the passenger side airbag on July 22. We are a family of four with two large carseats and my crv almost always has a passenger. An adult is not able to sit in-between the car seats in the back. I was told by the dealership that the parts were still not available and that the wait list for both airbags is months long. I requested a rental car and the next day, miraculously there is a part for the front air bag. They told us we could no longer receive a rental for just the passenger airbag. I guess the passenger's life is not as important as the driver? when I put my VIN in the recall website, even today it says "remedy not yet available. " I am concerned that the part that they put is in really intended for a 2010 Honda crv and not for another car just so they don't have to pay for the rental. Why were we not told yesterday when we called to confirm information about the rental that the part was in? our appointment was first thing in the morning, so is it really possible (after being told about the long wait list and the parts were not in just the other day) that the part we needed came in right before we picked up the rental? just because the receipt says it is the part, I feel uneasy that it is the legit replacement (part number 04770-swa-405). I also feel that it is a safety concern that the recall notice for the passenger airbag (NHTSA recall 16v-346) states "Honda suggests that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passenger's seat until the recall repair has been performed," yet we have no choice but to sit someone in that seat when we need to drive anywhere.
