Air bag light came on and when I ran my "VIN" number on your website, I found out there was a recall for this. Next I took my Cr-v into norm reeves Honda in irvine, CA. On 12/9/2019 for my 10:30 am appointment. After the passenger side airbag iinflator recall problem was resolved, I picked my Cr-v up and went home. My Cr-v had (115,230) miles on it at that point. My next air bag problem occurred on 8/18/2020 when my Cr-v had (116,359) miles on it. Now I had the "side air bag off" light come on. It would come on and then go away and then come back on again eventually. At that point, I called up norm reeves Honda in irvine again to schedule an appointment to have this checked out. On 8/25/2020 at (116,418) miles, I dropped off my Cr-v for my 10:30 am appointment. I had an inkling that this new air bag light coming on might have had something to do with the original air bag recall that was taken care of. After the car had been checked out, I was told that all the "dtc's" were pulled and that the "side air bag off light" had nothing to do with the original air bag recall they took care of. On my way home, I noticed a new light had come on now, the (srs) light. It was then that I immediately turned around and went back to norm reeves to inform them of this. The service advisor told me that they had nothing to do with this light coming on and that sooner or later it would have come on, somewhere down the road in the future. I questioned this and frankly had a difficult time believing this! that "srs" light had never come on before since I've owned the car. Now that light is always on 100% of the time. The service advisor told me it's a computer related issue that's causing the problem and quoted me a price of approx. $1200 to get it repaired. I said to him, "are you serious?" and shook my head in disgust as I walked away. I think they pulled one over on me. Do you agree?.

The airbag sensor light on the dash goes on and off intermittently for past 2 years. We took it to the dealership to get inspected on 8/18/20. This what was was explained on our paperwork: found dtc 32-10 open in the front passenger side airbag inflator. Performed stimulator, found dtc not returning. Found intermittent failure with floor harness. We were told by the dealership service staff that if not repaired the airbag could possibly fail.

Honda issued a recall in March 2020 for repair of a airbag inflator. This recall stated that it was dangerous to drive my car and that the problem with the airbag could result in fatality to me or my passengers. It is now July 4, 2020 and there are still not parts available to fix the problem so I cannot make an appointment to have it fixed. I called Honda customer service on June 29, 2020 and was told that I would need to just wait. It says on the Honda website that a rental car will be provided if parts are temporarily not available to fix a problem but they refused to do that. I think it is unacceptable that it has been 4 months since a problem was recognized, no parts are available to fix the problem, and Honda will not provide a rental car even though they state that using my car could result in death.

I received a recall notice in the mail from Honda in February of 2020. The recall notice states that my 2001 Honda crv is unsafe to drive. I have been in contact with Honda since March 9, 2020 and they have not offered a solution, updates, or information concerning this. I have been told by two employees that the part to fix this issue is not available and is no longer manufactured at this time. One employee went so far as to tell me that it is not an issue and my vehicle is not unsafe. This is untrue. The recall notice states, "due to a manufacturing issue, the inflator inside the driver frontal airbag module may absorb moisture, which may cause the driver frontal airbag to malfunction in a crash where the airbag deploys. The airbag could under-inflate during deployment, increasing the risk of injury to the driver. The airbag inflator could also rupture during deployment, with metal fragments possibly striking the driver or passengers, increasing the risk of serious injury or death. " they also refuse to give a deadline for this issue to be resolved by. I am writing this complaint as of August 8,2020 whilst sitting here with Honda on the phone.
My 2000 Honda crv has been recalled for a faulty drivers air bag inflator than can explode and send shrapnel at the driver causing severe injuries or death. Honda does not have the parts to fix this problem and the dealership and the manufacturer are refusing to supply loaner cars while owners wait for repairs. We are expected to drive around in a car that has a potential bomb sitting 1 foot from our body due to their defective product. They should be required to provide loaner vehicles while they solve their logistical problems - not ask their customers to play russian roulette with an explosive device. I contacted my local dealership and the manufacturer as soon as I was advised about this problem - they showed no real concern for my safety - this is just wrong!.

According to this website: "safety risk in the event of a crash necessitating air bag deployment, an inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants. An underinflated air bag cushion may not properly protect the occupant. These scenarios increase the risk of serious injury or death. " and, "Honda will notify owners in an interim notification that the parts necessary to repair their vehicles are currently not available. ".
Summary: american Honda motor CO. , inc. (Honda) is recalling certain model year 2000 accord coupe, 2000 accord sedan, 2000 civic coupe, 2000 civic sedan, 2000-2001 Cr-v, and 2000-2001 odyssey vehicles. These vehicles may have received a replacement driver frontal air bag module as part of a vehicle repair. Due to a manufacturing issue, the replacement nadi inflator may absorb moisture, causing the inflator to rupture or the air bag cushion to underinflate. Safety risk: in the event of a crash necessitating air bag deployment, an inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants. An underinflated air bag cushion may not properly protect the occupant. These scenarios increase the risk of serious injury or death. Remedy: Honda will notify owners in an interim notification that the parts necessary to repair their vehicles are currently not available. Honda will send a second notification when parts are available, and dealers will inspect the air bags in the vehicles, replacing the driver frontal air bag inflator with an inflator of a different design, as necessary. For additional questions or to get help locating a dealer, owners may contact american Honda¿'s customer support & campaign center at 1-888-234-2138. Recall status: recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available manufacturer hasn't tried to fix the issue, if not remedied it may kill/hurt the driver even more.
I took my crv in for service at silko Honda in raynham, MA. They diagnosed a short in the driver side airbag inflator. I believe that this issue should be covered because that airbag was replaced 2 years ago as part of the takata recall. I am disappointed that the warranty for this part is only 1 year. I believe that Honda should cover the repair of this safety sensitive issue as part of the ongoing issues with its airbags.

I had both airbag inflators replaced. However I recently received a notification from dealer saying the passenger bag needed doing. I thought this was weird, and checked the Honda recall site, and it says "nothing needs replacing". However, today I doubled check with the dealer, and they said there was a "bulletin" associated with a potential faulty installation. I have no idea now if this is dealer bullshit or a legit safety concern. Please make sure Honda knows about this.
(tamara inflators) I was sent a recall and took my car in to the dealership. My car was returned in two hours. The nest dat the same srs indicator was displayed on the dash as I began to drive after the issue should have been repaired or replaced.

Takata inflators Honda motor corp, has an engineering report that showed the takata inflators are unsafe, but yet Honda only recalled my drivers side airbag. They have not recalled the passenger side airbag on my vehicle. Why hasn't Honda recalled the passenger side of my car. This needs to be inspected to to confirm which parts are used , and Honda does not even know what inflator or propellant was used on my car. The least they can do is inspect the vehicle to see if takata parts were used and if so recall the passenger side airbag.
Takata recall: on 12/6/2016 per recall Honda dealer replaced both driver side and passenger front air bag inflators. In July 2017, while car in park and running, dash airbag sensor light came on as passenger was putting on her seat belt and remained on while driving until car engine was shutoff. Upon restarting car, under same conditions, airbag sensor did not come on again. On 7/27/17 this issue was evaluated by the same dealer with testing revealing "front passenger weight sensor - intermittent failure". Told repair of such is not part of air bag sensor recall since it is in the seat, starting with replacing seat side assembly with just the part costing approx $1100 + labor cost-unknown cost, advised for safety, to avoid unexpected air bag deloy, do not have passenger in front seat if air bag sensor light is on.

Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated after the vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign number:16v061000 (air bags) the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed with clockspring failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, informed the contact that the warranty expired and the failure was not related to the air bag inflator replacement. The manufacturer offered no further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 137. 000.
Takata recall - I think that the proper inflators have been replaced in my Cr-v but I'm still getting recall notices. I had the work performed at sylacauga Honda (256-245-5000). Two different trips but that's another story. When I call them I just get the run around. How can I tell if the problem has been corrected?.
Takata recall. Took my care in for takata recall. Was told I would get oil change. Oil was not changed as confirmed by private mechanic, and was low even tho my "report card" initially said oil was good. Now I have no way of knowing if they lied about the airbag inflator as well as the oil level and the a1 service. I could be driving a deadly car. They are liars and cheats. 2007 Honda Cr-v. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle door locks recall problems, remedy not available to repair driver front airbag inflator and rental vehicle payment issues. Honda issued two safety recalls for my 2008 Honda crv on 2/12/2016 and 5/23/2016. They informed me that both driver and passenger airbag inflators have safety issue, and it is advised that it is unsafe to drive the vehicle. I attempted to schedule and fixed the airbag, but they always inform me that they do not have the part to repair my vehicle. This is the only vehicle I have for my daily commute. I am hoping that they will have the parts ready soon. However, it seems that they are not proactively follow up on the airbag orders. Please assist.

Takata airbag inflator. Received notice of recall in July. We called the dealer, Honda of annapolis, to schedule it but were told the part was not in and we should call back in 2 weeks. Called 5 more times over the next 2 months and were put off every time. Finally today they have the part but can't install it for over a week and the repair will take 3 to 4 hours. We contacted american Honda for a loaner as advertised but were told by rosa that because we have a back seat, she could not authorize it. This seems to be in direct conflict with the terms of the recall posted at Hondaairbaginfo. Com where notice is given that loaner vehicles are available in cases of delays.

A safety recall was issued by Honda dated June 2016 for the passenger air bag inflator advising that the passenger seat should not be used until the inflator is replaced to avoid injury to the passenger. I contacted my local Honda dealer to schedule an appointment to repair this deficiency 7-11-2016 and was assured that I would be notified when the defective part would be available for installation. I checked back 7-29-2016 and was told there was a large backlog on the recall and to call Honda customer service for a resolution to the problem. I called Honda 8-10-2016 and 8-23-2016, was issued a case # 04914374 but was told the deficiency could not be repaired any time soon. It is now sept 13, 2016 and I still can't use the passenger seat in my Honda.
Dashboard airbag light comes on intermittenly following passenger side airbag inflator recall replacement.
Takata recall I own a 2007 Honda crv. I am very concerned that because my vehicle has only been registered in NY state, I am being forced to drive an unsafe vehicle. I have the same takata part (passenger side airbag) as the vehicles located in other states. I have the documentation to prove that. I know that the recall has been expanded, and that I am in zone c. My car dealership has informed me that other vehicles same model same year have had their passenger air bags replaced already. Apparently they are in one of the good zones. Yet I am being told by both the dealer and Honda that, even though parts are available, my car is not eligible. Yet cars in states that border mine, including PA and OH are able to get their airbag inflators replaced. I don't believe that the humidity everywhere in PA is higher than everywhere in NY. The humidity in my area this summer has been in the 80's and 90's. I feel that these "zones" are arbitrary, and designed to help Honda rather than concerned with the safety issues of the vehicle owners. I want Honda to repair my vehicle now, or at least provide me with a safe loaner vehicle. As it stands now, I can't take the chance of allowing anyone to ride in the passenger seat of the vehicle. I was able to get the driver side inflator replaced, but my VIN is not under recall. Just because my state is not in the correct zone does not mean my car is safe. I feel like I'm sitting in a ticking time bomb. Please help me to drive safely again.
Takata recall on 08/22/2016. For oil change autonation costa mesa CA. Advisor mentioned recall, he orders the parts and it will take two weeks to sixty days and will call once parts arrives. After I got in my car I read the paper copy that I signed and it stated that ¿while they wait for redesigned parts to become available, customer has elected to retain possession of theirle and has signed the ¿Honda takata airbag inflator retention/storage owner indemnification agreement¿ I said does agreement mean that I am willing to drive my own car? he said yes. I said if I feel uncomfortable to drive my car because of safety issue what can be done. Then he said you can get rental car for me. Why not mentioned that I am signing an agreement about recall fix and explain it to me? why customer automatically gets signed to agreement when they sign for regular maintenance service without knowing what options are availalble to them? why mentioned about rental car before I signed agreement? what happens to other customer who don¿t even read their oil change service paper that they signed? I left with my own car I didn¿t want to change in rental car, thinking they will call me within sixty days. 3-4 days before sixty days I called the dealership. They never called. Made an appointment for 3-4 hrs of recall work. Asked him does Honda provide rental car for a day? he said no Honda stopped renting car for airbag recall from September 15th. Since last I was there on August 22nd they might have stopped rental cars for recall fix after that. Went there for recall 10/26/2016 I asked same person rental car Honda stopped providing rental from August 1st !! I was here on August 22nd for my oil change and they said yes. Why not contact me within sixty day if the part was there? why flip-flop on rental car? not providing transparent information.

We received the notice below about a life safety issue with the passenger side airbag. We contacted multiple Honda service dealerships, only to be told the parts are not in stock and it will be anywhere from 2-weeks to 2-months before they are in stock to do the repair. . . . . So until then, my daughter is driving a Honda Cr-v with a known life safety issue and can't get it addressed by the manufacturer/dealer. . . . That is very unsafe, negligent, etc. Here are the details of the notice: vehicle VIN#: jhlrd68846c014275 recall description: NHTSA recall number: 16v-344 mfr campaign ka0 campaign description: passenger airbag inflator the notice said it was urgent to get this addressed?. . . . But then provides no support or way to get it addressed? robert hanna 405-821-1787 roberthanna2002@yahoo. Com.
"passenger airbag inflator" and "takata recall". This is regarding the recall numbers 16v-346 and 16v-061 for Cr-v 2011 model. I have received two recall notices one in March 2016 and other one in July 2016. Since it's clearly indicated in the safety recall notice received from Honda that it's risky to have passenger in the front passenger seat, I am very much worried with accompanying my family and friends in this vehicle with safety. Even I am not sure if same risk applicable for the driver as well. The fix for this issue taking so long even though it's very clear that there is a high risk for death or body injury if airbag is inflated. Please have the servicing facility provide an alternative arrangement until these parts available. I am a common man who has only one vehicle for day to day use and if any major injuries/death happened to me or my family due to this airbag issue, I would like to know if Honda would be ready to take the responsibility for that. Please consider it as a high priority issue.
Takata recall no failure has occurred yet frontal airbag inflator propellant is defective date below is the date of recall - Honda says 6-8 weeks more until fix is available.
Takata recall - driver's front airbag inflator. We have been waiting over 60 days for parts and replacement of driver's front airbag inflator for our 2010 Honda crv. Watermark Honda in paducah, ky put us on waiting list for parts and repair on 07-07-2016 but they still do not have the parts. We received takata recall letter in March 2016 saying parts would be available in summer 2016. On 07-07-2016 we were put on waiting list and have called twice to ask if parts were in. Each time, watermark Honda has checked and confirmed we are still on waiting list, and said they will call us as soon as parts are in. So, all total we have been waiting over 6 months for parts to be available and over 60 days for an unsafe vehicle to be repaired!.
