1 Noises During Shifting problem of the 2017 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 10/26/2020

On the 4th (around 20k miles) oil change from dealership I complained about driver side seat cushion and brake pedal making squeaky noise. I was told it's normal in new car during the breakin process and eventually it'll go away. Now it's even worse at above 50k miles and they're asking for diagnostic charges. Car also has fuel and oil mixing issue which I brought it up on my recent visit to Honda dealership and I was told they'll need to drain the oil and refill with new oil and filter to determine the issue. While they were taking out they said there was no presence of fuel but the smell of fuel in engine oil is normal for this vehicle. There's been time where vehicle will be stuck in high rpm when on highway and accelerator is released during high speed. And eventually it'll shift the gear after 5-10 seconds and bring down the rpm. Smell is also noticed during first start in mornings specially now since it's winter.

3 Noises During Shifting problem of the 2008 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 06/01/2010

Ongoing problem from when I purchased the Cr-v in 2010. Many times when shifting into reverse there is an loud, audible clunking as the gears grind. I've been parked next to other Cr-v's and noticed the same noise as the Cr-v is put into reverse. This must be a common problem. Also the doors were locking and unlocking on their own while I was driving, and I had to have the lock mechanisms on all 4 passenger doors replaced. Lastly there is an annoying whistling noise in the duct work for the heat and a/c. I have to keep the recycle button on to somewhat diminish it.

4 Noises During Shifting problem of the 1999 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/11/2003

The transmission went out, of my 1999 Honda Cr-v with only 86,520 miles on the vehicle. It was shifting sluggishly even before the warranty expired, I just did not realize that it was not normal until I had a different transmission installed. I had the Honda dealer service my Cr-v regularly. The first problem I had was a noise when the all-wheel drive engaged in heavy snow in December of 2000. The dealer "replaced cvt fluid per transmission noise" according to the invoice. The Cr-v had 26,375 miles at that service invoice date. The fluids were changed again at 30,000 miles. Check engine light came on at 65,000 miles and fluids were changed. At 72,000 miles the check engine light came on and fluids were changed again! finally at 86,495 miles the transmission was slipping and fluids were changed but at 86,520 the transmission would hardly shift to make it to the dealer and a used transmission was installed. Does Honda stand behind their vehicles and offer any payment or extended warranty? I am in shock that my Honda would have this problem with so few miles, after all the great reports I read before buying a Honda!.
