Honda service bulletin 17-040. Honda dealer is refusing to fix the issue, stating my vehicle is not under warranty. Car is 2013 with 56k. Should be covered by this bulletin, and Honda customer service and dealer is refusing service coverage. The car violently shakes if not fully accelerating between 20-30 mph.
In low acceleration vehicle shudders, I need to either I need to change the gear to d3 or need to take out my leg from speeding peddle. It is very annoying. I tried with eco mode off as well, still the same issue. It is happening from several years.
When my vehicle was about 45 to 55 mph, I can feel that the vehicle started vibrating. The vibration came through the steering wheel, so I can feel on my both hands. It may affect body as well because my body can feel it as well. Below 45 mph or above 55 mph, the vibration is gone. Since this sept, the situation persists.

Vehicle shakes and stutters when accelerating between 0-30 mph, which is apparently a known and common issue.
When the gear is in driving mode, d, my vehicle starts vibrating so much that all passengers can feel it. . Read more...
Tl-the contact owns a 23013 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while driving at 20 to 30 mph the front end of the vehicle would shake during acceleration. An independent mechanic replaced the axle on the front right end but the issue continued. The contact then went to a dealer priority Honda 621 n battlefield blvd, chesapeake, va 23320 (757) 213-6600 and they could not replicate the issue. They suggested that the axle could be the cause but were not sure . The manufacturer was not contacted and the vehicle currently still shakes. The failure mileage was 70,000. Tf.
The car vibrates like crazy when I come to a stop while the car is in drive or reverse. The vibration is coming from the engine and it goes in and out constantly. For example standing on red light and or stop signs. I reached out to Honda and they have informed me that there is nothing they can do about it. In 2015/2016 Honda crv they put the new engine and new cvt transmission which is garbage and is making these vibrations. Please help as Honda is not willing to do anything about it. Thanks.
On may 4, 2019 I started the car and was about to drive out and the car could move forward when I put it into drive position. It reverse instead. After multiple tries, I had to call the roadside assistance and a tow truck removed the car to the Honda dealer I bought I from. They discovered that the transmission was no good. After waiting for over a month for it to be fixed, I picked it up and was not satisfied with the performance. I brought it backand was told that the sound I was hearing comes from a "flat spot in the tire since it was sitting there for a long time and I should drive it for a month and if no changes I should buy new tire. " that did not make any sense to me so here I am trying to figur it out, very disgruntled, and dissatisfied!!. On top of that the vibrating of the car especially when it's idling. . . It makes no sense to me for a car this new to be in this condition. I need some help to solve this issue.

The car stalls while moving slowly in reverse. This is dangerous in two ways. Way one, while moving in reverse the car stalls, and thus I stop moving when I and the people around me thought I would continue. The second way is I often end up reversing more quickly when I feel the car beginning to stall, this keeps the car from stalling but causes me to move in reverse faster than I would like to. This usually happens when the car is started from a cold start (after sitting overnight). . This issue has been happening to me for at least half a year. Not every time I start the car, but at least once a week. I bought the car new in June 2015. Also in general the car shudders significantly while idling in drive. I fear that soon the car may start stalling in drive as well while it is idling. Many people report these same issues online, and a recall should be done before the problem gets worse as the cars age.
Engine rattles at early morning start up , Honda aware of vtc actuator default and needs to open a recall cases to all crv made between 2012-2014. I have had to replace the cam shafts, and drive belt. I have had to replace the control arms and tires. All mt dash lights have come on while I was driving. The car shakes and is scary to drive. This car has safety issues with the control arms in the suspension and acceleration issues that have been reported by consumers. When does someone decide that this is a safety issue. When a car has tire, acceleration, or issues with transmission this is a safety issue. Honda should do something to show they care about the consumer safety. There are many issues with the Honda Cr-v please address the serious ones.
Tl the contact owns a 2012 Honda Cr-v. While driving between 30 and 40 mph, the vehicle vibrated. However, when the vehicle accelerated past 40 mph, the vibration disappeared. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 71,800.

This vehicle vibrates it's steering wheel and inside the cabin at 55mph and higher making it annoying, unstable and unsafe.
Upon light acceleration on a city street my car vibrates quite strongly and feels as though the car is going to stall. This issue seems to only happen at low speeds (10-35mph). I have contacted the local Honda dealer with my VIN# and they deny any issue with the vehicle. After further investigation I have found numerous reports online about this very same issue and how Honda is unwilling to address or fix the issue. I hope Honda issue a recall soon because this amount of vibration makes me feel as if there is a lot of mechanical wear happening with every acceleration and that the car could fail at any moment.
The vehicle vibrates very rough when idle in drive gear. Specifically, the issue happens when the vehicle is stationary and in drive gear and all accessories turned off and when the engine temperature has reached its optimum (fully warmed up engine). The issue goes away if the rpm is raised (when stationary and in drive gear) by turning on any accessory like fan or rear defroster etc. This was a known issue in Honda Cr-v 2015 and was admitted as "mode 1 vibrations" by Honda. Honda put out a fix for Cr-v 2015 by TSB 15-046. A lot of Honda 2016 Cr-v including my vehicle is showing exactly the same symptoms but Honda is refusing to provide a fix for 2016 Cr-v vibration issue citing it as a "normal characteristics of the vehicle". The excessive vibrations during idle are causing headaches and significant jitters in the body during excessive stop-and-go traffic conditions. Also, the owners of these vibrating 2016 Cr-vs are concerned about longetivity of transmission mounts, engine mounts and other mechanical connections due to this high engine vibrations. Nhtsa should definitely look into this issue and hold Honda accountable to providing a fix for this issue. Following are the links to videos on youtube and google search. When sitting at a red light in drive/idle with brake engaged, the car vibrates severely. This was known defect on their 2015 model crv's as well. Dealer says no fix available because Honda north America has not acknowledged the problem. I have seen multiple similar complaints from other 2016 Honda crv owners all over the internet.
Car is shuddering when I accelerate-first thought it was a particular road but car is doing it on multiple roads now and more frequently--almost like skipping.
Recently took my 2015 Honda Cr-v for another attempt to fix the issue. Basically, the vehicle will vibrate harshly and shudder as if it will stall with the rpm's dropping to 300-500. It happens in multiple instances- when coming to a stop/stopped in gear, while on the highway going about 60-70 mph. It feels like the vehicle loses power/is about to stall off. I've been told by Honda this is "characteristic" of the vehicle. If that's the case, why didn't they inform me this when purchasing the vehicle? bad move, Honda.
The vehicle vibrates/juddrs during 25-35 mph when lightly accelerating from a stop. This has been happening for a long time, but I was made to notice this by a friend recently.
While driving car up slight incline, and minimal acceleration, the car vibrates, feeling like transmission is slipping. The car stuggles to move forward requiring more agressive acceleration to stop vibration. The vibration has been getting worse over the past 6 months.
Car vibrates or shimmies at low and high mph Honda says there is a software update but this is not a recall. If the transmission fails it would not be very safe on the road. This has been happening since 2015.
Bad vibration while the car is stopped in gear shakes the occupants. This vibration happens when the engine rpm falls to 500 to 550 on the tachometer. Honda refuses to do anything to fix the issue based on a fear of the epa and fuel economy ratings for the vehicle. Honda calls this a normal characteristic of the vehicle but our family currently owns 5 Honda vehicles and this is the only on to exhibit this abnormal vibration characteristic. The vibration was not as pronounced until the cvt software update (recall) was performed on the vehicle. Honda has tried several things to remedy this vibration but has been unsuccessful.
The car shakes at low speeds. Vibration and shaking to whole car affecting traction and everyone in car feels the shaking. Feels like transmission is slipping in low gears. Only at lower speeds and not at high speeds. I bought it used this year, and the problem seems to be getting worse. Well maintained crv automatic, awd, 115,000. Really hope I can get it fixed with paying for a transmission. I thought it was the awd traction, but it seems to be a common complaint.

The contact owns a 2013 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that the vehicle would shake and rattle while at a stop light and in the drive/reverse position. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was not determined and it was informed that the vehicle was functioning as designed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 27,000.
Honda Cr-v 2015 and other years have vibration created by the cvt transmission. The cars rpm's drop at idol and the hole car shakes like a 2. 0 earthquake. There are apparently more problems than this but Honda is not publicly acknowledge ing the problem. It's been recalled for an alleged computer problem but I suspect they are trying over come the vibration. Coverup. They put new pushings in to tampered vibration. Coverup now dealer wants car back to fix but Honda doesn't know how to repair it. Engineering big mistake.
Vehicle shakes while in motion when automatic transmission shifts between 25mph-45mph using over-drive. This does not happen when over-drive is turned off. Transmission computer has been updated but this did not correct the problem as hoped by Honda dealership. The problem is on-going.
The contact owns a 2016 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that a buzzing noise was heard when the accelerator pedal was depressed. In addition, while driving at various speeds, the vehicle vibrated severely. The failure recurred whenever the vehicle was operated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed, but the cause of the failure was not found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 136,000.
When car is on idle with drive gear , the car gets vibrate and it gets worse when air condition is turn on. After the repair of service bulletin 15-046, the issue is vibrating and it gets worse when turn ac on. The first service was on 1/7/16 with 136 milages and the second service was on 1/19/16 with 678 milages with no resolution. When I drive to work, the vibration and shaking cause my body get nauseated and headaches.
The car is hesitance during acceleration, the car vibrates while driving, more noticed during highway driving. His started Aug 20,2018, wen I start the car, the engine makes noise shakes during a cold start. Have been told nothing is wrong. Began having problems in late 2016 thru March 2018. This happens during cold temperatures.
When going from 0-30 mph the care will shudder / judder. Only happens at low speed like the transmission is try to catch. This started very early when I bought the car new. Honda has two service bulletin's (15-086 and 17-040) that recognize this issue for 2013 Cr-v's but won't recognize the issue for my VIN #. Comments from many Honda drivers is this is common across all Honda automobiles with the cvt for years dating very far back. Honda should back up there product.
2015 Honda Cr-v. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle vibration problems and transmission/engine acceleration issues. The consumer stated the vehicle was repaired but the vibrations did not completely stopped, it only got better. The consumer advised the rpm id the down shift of cvt transmission. Updated 04/03/2017.
Honda Cr-v 2015 vibration . Last year I purchased a 2015 Honda Cr-v and as with most other owners, it has a bad vibration issue while at a stop in drive mode with foot on the brakes. I also vibrates at low speeds between 40 -50 mph and around 70 mph. I has been in the shop 4 times but still vibrates while stopped in the drive mode (in gear with foot on brake). I have filed a complaint with Honda corp and they said even with the 4 suggested repairs which has already been preformed on my car by the local Honda service center, this will not stop the vibration issue and that Honda has no other known fix to stop the vibration issue and that they will not replace the car. The local Honda service center verbally acknowledges the vibration issue but refused to put it on the service report that there is still a vibration issue. I see all the post from other owners with the same issue. This a distraction and I consider it a safety issue as one, time while I was setting at a red light, it started vibrating and while I was distracted by the seat and car vibrating, the truck behind me blew his loud horn and I almost ran the red light that had changed while I was distracted. I know there was a class action law suit but I do not know the status of it. They had to know about the problem prior to sending the 2015 Honda Cr-v to the dealers, but nobody informed the buyers of this issue.
Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Honda crv. The contact stated that when the vehicle was idle ,the vehicle vibrate. The failure was recurring. The contact stated that the vibration in the vehicle was observed by the dealer. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it could not be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,900. Ec.
The car is vibrating like crazy. We bought it brand new and I called the sales person after purchasing and he told me there are complaints about the vibration but nothing is wrong and that it is normal. The vibration is getting worse and am getting sick of driving a $30,000 car with vibration.
