The car vibrates a lot at idling. This is a vey common occurrence in all 2015 Honda Cr-v. The excess vibrations are also felt at low speeds, especially when accelerating from a stop.

38 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 09/10/2015

Excessive vibration while vehicle is in drive mode and is at a stop using the foot brakes. Placing vehicle in neutral lessens the vibration. It is noticed during regular driving when stopped at a stop light or stop sign. The problem is constant and has been occurring since vehicle was purchased new in September of 2015.

39 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2012 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 09/08/2015

I bought a 2012 "Honda certified" Cr-v ex with 34,000 miles on labor day. The next morning and a few mornings after that, the car made a loud grinding/rattling sound for a few seconds after the engine started. As the days have gotten colder, the noise occurs almost every time the car starts. I thought the car had a failing starter and brought it in for service. The dealer told me it isn't a starter issue but is caused by a vtc actuator in the engine. The device controls valve timing as the engine runs. The dealer tech rep even had a vtc (a small gear) on his desk which he showed me as we spoke. He assured me Honda is aware of the problem and "is working on it". Well, it turns out Honda has been "working on it" since 2008. They issued service bulletin # 09-010 on October 21, 2011. The internet is filled with Honda owners of various years and models after 2011 complaining about Honda's lackadaisical attitude to this issue. Many have had replacement cvt's installed at their own expense only to have the problem return. The noise is caused when cold oil doesn't flow to the gear at start. The grinding is the sound of dry metal on metal. I am neither a mechanic nor engineer but I know a little about cars and engines. If a device that controls valve timing fails the engine can suddenly lose power or even seize up. I think this is an accident waiting to happen as these gears go through more starts without proper lubrication. I called Honda of America and filed a complaint with them. I also asked for a letter verifying that they know of the problem and would cover any engine repair caused by this issue under warranty. So far, there has been no response. I believe that Honda should recall the affected cars and make the repair before there is a serious rear end collision or other accident as a result of engine power failing at a critical time.

The failure mileage was 200. Djr.

42 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 06/12/2015

While driving our 2015 crv a day after our initial purchase it began to shake violently at idle. So bad that in stop and go traffic it can cause the driver and passengers to start to feel sick. Honda has acknowledged the issue but says that it isn't a safety concern and it is a characteristic of the vehicle. Additionally the car vibrates and feels as if might die when slowing down at a stop light. The same thing that a manual might do if left in gear when slowing to a stop. Additionally the same thing can occur when initially accelerating. I feel that these are safety issues because they are distracting to the driver and the crv could eventually start stalling out in the middle of an intersection.

43 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/28/2015

My car has a serious vibration issues when it idles or is revving up to 40-50mph. It is incredible distracting and only has been getting worse since I bought the car. I am very concerned that this issue will continue to grow and outside of it being very annoying it has been distracting me and causing even the passenger in the front seat to ask "what is that? it can't be normal". I hope this agency along with Honda USA will work hard to find a solution as I do not believe it is safe to drive as is.

44 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/12/2015

My 2015 crv has a consistent shudder and vibration that can be felt through the steering wheel and seat while driving. It is most noticeable at 1000 rpm's and 2000 rpm's. This vibration is very distracting and causes fatigue during longer trips. Also severe vibrations at the idle, around 600 rpm's when stopped at stop lights or in traffic. The vibration makes the car extremely uncomfortable to drive for the driver as well as the passenger.

45 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/03/2015

Vibration: in December of 2014, we purchased a brand new Honda crv 2015 model from tom wood Honda in anderson, indiana. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, (at around 5,000 miles driven on the vehicle), we noticed that; the vehicle vibrated when stopped (say at a stop light) when the car was in ¿drive¿. The vibration was not detected when the vehicle was stopped and in ¿park¿. The vibration at this time was slight and only a little disturbing. The vehicle was taken to penske Honda (on the north side of indianapolis) at around 28,000 miles or so, where a ¿16-053 crv update¿ was applied. The vibration problem was made much worse, not better. Immediately after driving the car off of penske¿s lot, it vibrated so badly that it was extremely disturbing. Follow a few frustrating conversations with penske Honda about this problem, the vehicle was taken to fisher¿s Honda. Fisher¿s Honda performed update 15-046 for vibration at idle, which ameliorated the problem, however, the vehicle still vibrates quite noticeably when engaged in drive and stopped at a stop light for example. The idle speed drops to around 550 rpm when stopped and in drive. The entire car shakes. The steering wheel vibrates in the driver¿s hands. In my opinion, no one would buy a new or even used car with this problem. I certainly wouldn¿t. We took the 2015 Honda crv to tom wood Honda. One of their top technicians drove the car with us in it. He acknowledged the problem, but stated that there was nothing more he could do to fix the problem than what had already been done, and that the problem had something to do with the engine and drive train pairing. Since that time, the vibration phenomenon when the car is stopped and engaged in drive has worsened. In addition, the car vibrates when driving the car at 35 to 45 miles per hour and the rpms are around 1,100 rpm or so.

46 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/01/2015

About 1-2x per month, after car sits for several hours (and power train is cold), vehicle will shudder when first starting out in reverse or drive. This usually occurs when in reverse and riding brake after starting the vehicle. Rpm does drop to about 500 rpm for about a second, making vehicle feel as if it will stall (similar to not giving enough gas with a manual transmission). Engine will then rev slightly above initial idle before returning to normal. Throttle response also diminishes for a few seconds afterward. Dealer found no trouble codes and associated symptoms with idle vibration issue. However, frequency of idle vibration is much more regular with those who have it. Car has not stalled yet but always think it might. My dad has an identical vehicle and has had same shuddering issue, though with much less frequency.

47 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/30/2015

While in low idle (less than 750 rpm) vehicle shudders while in drive or "s" gear. Shudder decreases if car is shifted to neutral, or if brake continues to be applied and a bit more rpms are introduced by tapping the accelerator. Happens in either regular drive or eco mode. Doesn't happen all the time, but is annoying when it happens.

48 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/28/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while driving 25 mph, the vehicle begun to vibrate severely. The failure occurred constantly. The vehicle was taken to an dealer where it was diagnosed but the cause of the failure was not found. The contact mentioned that the vehicle software was updated but the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150. Jo.

49 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/10/2015

There is an issue with the 2015 Honda Cr-v where the car vibrates and rattles significantly when idling in drive with brake depressed. The rpm seems to drop down to 600 and the engine starts making noise and vibrating. At the present time it is only an inconvinence and irrating but I feel that if this continues them we may be looking at premature wear and tear of parts just due to the excess vibrations. Consumers may be in for huge spends to replace parts that were worn out over the years due to excessive vibrations in the car.

50 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/01/2015

When at a stop and in idle the car vibrates as if there is not enough rpm's to keep it running properly. Also vibrates when driving slowly or at a lower rpm. Waiting for a recall as Honda has admitted that there is something wrong with the car due to the transmission and engine combination.

51 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times, but they were not able to provide a permanent remedy for the condition. The dealer test drove the vehicle and indicated that the failure was associated with the newly designed engine and transmission/power train. The contact stated that the condition continued to progress with no solution to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer provided no permanent remedy. The failure mileage was 800. Sj.

53 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/08/2015

When the car is in "drive" and while siting still at a light or with the foot on the brake, the engine idle speed drops down and the entire car vibrates. Honda says that this is simply a characteristic of the car and has so far not offered any type of repair or remedy. Many of the other owners have posted the same vibration problem at several websites including the Honda owners blog sites. Please investigate to see if some remedy can be found and the issue can be resolved. I am concerned that the low idle speed while standing still will only worsen and become a safety hazard as the car ages. Thank you for your help.

55 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/03/2015

When car is first started it drives fine but once the engine reaches operating temperature at about 15mph to 30mph there is a vibration felt in the steering wheel. If I let off the accelerator pedal the vibration stops or when the transmission shifts into the next gear the vibration stops. Problem only seems to be at low speeds as car seems to drive good with no vibrations from 30 mph to 65 mph. Honda dealer salesperson told me that it was a characteristic of the new cvt transmission. I called Honda USA and they said there was no known problems with the transmission and told me to take the car to the dealer for a check. The dealer after checking the car told me that there was a problem with the car. This was on March 23, 2015. On March 24, 2015 I received a call from the Honda district representative stating that there is a problem with these new transmissions and that Honda is trying to find a fix but they don't know how long its going to take to figure what the fix is going to be. Today March 25, 2015 I received a call from Honda USA customer service saying that the symptoms that I'm experiencing in the car are a characteristic of the car. I informed her that I spoke to the dealer rep and he told me there is a problem in the transmission and she said she wasn't informed about it. I can't believe that I paid $26,000 for a car that vibrates at low speeds, that my wife won't drive because she doesn't feel safe in it, and Honda USA is telling me its normal for the car to do this. Talk about being fed a line of bull. Now lets see what if anything the government is going to do because there is a problem in these vehicles.

56 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 02/16/2015

The 2015 Honda Cr-v has a problem with a vibration while the car is stopped idle and in drive at slow speeds the idling occurs at every stop light, and in heavy highway bumper to bumper traffic. The vibrations are experienced in the front passenger and driver seats and center console. Drivers and passengers experience motion sickness including headaches, nausea. Any new passenger in my vehicle is startled by the vibrations. Every new passenger comments about the startling vibrations. Some passengers even scream due to the startling vibrations. All of this is extremely distracting to the driver who is trying to pay attention to the traffic. The car feels like it is hesitating and will stall when the gas petal is depressed. This has not happened yet, but the issue is getting worse not better. Honda admits to this issue, but offers no resolution and calls this merely an annoyance. This issue is getting worse and the manufacturer has been given a chance to fix the issue. I am not certain if the issue is the motor, transmission, or fuel injection system. It could be any of those systems. The attempt to make the Cr-v more fuel efficient by using the Honda accord's engine has been a failure and resulted in a major safety issue with the cars.

57 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 02/02/2015

The vehicle shakes noticeably at low rpms. Specially when stopped while in gear I. E. At a red light or when accelerating slowly. The shake very noticeable, causes the seats to shake and rattles what ever is in the cup holders. It causes the rear view mirror to become useless.

58 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 01/29/2015

Purchased vehicle 1/29/15 almost immediately noticed when you accelerate the vehicle vibrates, left it go thinking new car needs to get broken in. 1400 miles later the car is still doing it, actually I think it's worse. Took to dealer and they confirmed there is a vibration when you accelerate and continues while you're driving. Dealer said Honda is aware of the issue but doesn't have a fix for it yet. In fact, the mechanic at the dealership said about eight (8) other customers with the same issue. I contacted Honda, only to be told this is a "condition" they are aware of and are investigating, however, since they don't feel there is a safety concern, they could not commit to when a repair procedure would be instituted. This is not acceptable. How can your car vibrating while you're driving not be a safety concern, how can anything that affects the driveability of your vehicle not be a safety concern. I can't even rid of it, what dealer is not going to question that vibrating. Honda should be required to find a fix for this issue or replace the affected vehicles before someone gets killed.

59 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 01/10/2015

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Cr-v. While driving at both low and high speeds, the vehicle shook and vibrated abnormally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer more than three times, but they were not able to provide a permanent remedy for the condition. The dealer test drove the vehicle and indicated that the failure was associated with the newly designed engine and transmission/power train. The contact stated that the condition continued to progress with no solution to repair the vehicle. The contact was nauseous frequently when the vehicle vibrated and shook. The manufacturer provided no permanent remedy. The failure mileage was not available.

60 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 01/05/2015

Car has a bad vibration and shuttering while idling and at around 60 mph. It shakes and can be nauseating at times. Paid over 30,000 for a car that is uncomfortable and makes me sick. I don't feel safe!!! Honda dealer says in a "characteristic" of the car. Something is defiantly wrong!!!.

61 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 12/23/2014

Car vibrates at idle//has vibrations and noise at various speeds//local dealer can not figure out //Honda dsm said he would check on it, but apparently it's a common problem.

62 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 12/10/2014

I came to a stop and the vehicle started shaking violently. This happened at 2 stop lights. The vehicle had 500 miles on it. Subsequently there are various levels of vibration while at stops along with a rough ride. The seats shake along with the entire vehicle. Can't get a straight story from Honda. Everything from working on a fix to it doesn't exist. 2 dealers have acknowledged the issue exists. Unfortunately mechanics say it's a huge transmission problem. The vehicle now has 2450 miles on it and I'm afraid to drive it.

63 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 11/24/2014

Vehicle vibrates badly when at idle in drive with foot on brake. Vehicle also vibrates when rpm is around 2000 rpm when moving. Can be felt in steering wheel, seats, dashboard, and floor. Honda admits there is a problem but no remedy in site after 10 months. Two videos from Honda have been released so far with no solution available.

64 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2013 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/06/2014

We traded in a 2005 Honda crv for a 2013 Honda crv. The 2005 was diagnosed with a transmission problem at 70,000 miles. The 2013 started with the same symptoms as the 2005 after owning it for 1 1/2 years. The car would shake and vibrate between 1st and 2nd gear. I described the problem the same ways I described the problem in the 2005 crv. We took it to the dealership and they could not duplicate the problem. They told us it would have to get worse. Last month it got worse: it would happen several times per day. The shaking was so violent for up to 10 seconds that I didn't feel safe driving it. The car was at the dealership for three weeks and was finally diagnosed with a torque conversion defect. Today I found out that Honda motor company has known about the shaking problem going back to 2002. Their customer service department said they have not issued any bulletins because it's not a safety issue. They also said that they had a you tube video about it. It appears now that the 2005 crv we traded in actually had a torque conversion problem, not a bad transmission. I paid and extra $18,000 for a car that I didn't need. At what point does Honda motors inform the consumers and dealers about this issue? what can I do about this withholding of crucial information? thank you for your time.

65 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/27/2014

1) noticeable and distracting vibrations in d, mostly at low rpms. After speeding up (which, in itself is a problem see #2), to say 35 or 40, I let off the gas a bit to turn into somewhere or slow down for a car in front of me. Once I press the gas pedal again to speed up, it's as if I am still in the higher gear and the car rumbles vibrates and protests as if it is going 30mph and I am in 5th in a manual transmission. This happens all the time when driving around town. 2) starting out. It can either jump out way too fast or "slide" up to speed growling and vibrating all the way, almost as if the emergency brake was on. I have actually checked a few times to make sure the emergency brake wasn't engaged, the drag was so noticeable. 3) at any given time the engine will rev up to 2500 - 3000 rpms for no apparent reason and drop like a stone to 1000. This will happen on a hill, up or down, or on a flat. Yesterday I could actually feel the drop from 3000 to 1000 in the drivers seat. I am not pressing on the gas pedal at these times. This is abnormal function. 4) on the highway , I slowed down behind a truck in front of me because cars were speeding by on the left. I then tried to pass the truck and the car just wouldn't go. It hesitated and almost shut down. I have not tested this again because it felt reckless to make it happen again. The biggest issue is the inconsistency of all of these issues. There was one week when the car seemed to fine for a few days. But that was it. Since then this thing seems to think it knows how to drive itself but it does not. And because of items 3 and 4, I no longer feel safe in this car.

66 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2000 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/15/2013

This car vibrates a lot when I am driving at any speed. It has been going on for several years. I did not find out the specific problem until 3/15/2014. I had three different mechanics look at the car for the problem. They all said that the rear u-joint on the propeller shaft is badly damaged. This u-joint is not repairable by Honda design because it is a part of the propeller shaft. According to the Honda dealer, the entire shaft must be replaced at a cost of about $1800. I believe that it is a manufacturing defect. The propeller was probably defective when I bought the car. According to the mechanics, they have never seen this problem before. This car has never been in any major accident to cause this problem. It is a safety hazard which should be covered by Honda. The problem was probably there when I bought the car but it has gotten worse since then. My husband and I have driven the car mostly locally all these years. My husband, dinesh gupta, has my permission to act on my behalf in this matter. Thanks! jane.

67 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 12/01/2012

Ok, so I bought a brand new Honda crv 2015 on 12/01/14. When I drove it home I felt the huge vibration at idle, so I said to myself ok maybe the engine is new so it needs breaking time. However after drive everyday from home to work, and work to home, the crv 2015 has a major problem. When it's in d mode and brake pressed, the rpm stays around 600, when I'm waiting for red light or stop sign the car just vibrates really crazy. I have very short leg, so I'm trying my best to hold on the brake, but the shake is making it really difficult, numerous time my legs are so tired I had to put on parking mode. The problem wont occur when the engine is cold or the heater fan is on high. And I contacted Honda corporate, they say all the parts are good there is no parts defect so it doesn't qualify for recall. But come on! it is a safety issue, specially if you drive the vehicle in new york which involves countless stops. I never fill out any complains, but I cant hold my big disappointment towards Honda quality control.

68 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2008 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/21/2012

At approximately 1500 rpm while cruising, vehicle shudders. Acts like trying to shift between gears but won't engage. Condition ceases when accelerator released or depressed. Occurrences at speeds between 20 & 45 mph frequent. Family member had low mileage Honda accord with same problem, which was only solved through transmission replacement.

69 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2010 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 12/01/2011

Gears began to crunch and the car began to shake. Slowed down at a light and lost the power steering. Pulled over and the engine stalled. Could not re-start for 10 minutes. Engine then re-started, traveled approx. 10 meters and stalled. Re-started again - no further problems. 2 similar occurrences, 2 months apart. For the first event, the car went off the road. On each occasion the dealership stated they had checked everything and there was nothing wrong with the car. Took it for a second opinion. Dealership had not checked recall 11-001 (January, 2011). They checked it, but again found no issue.

70 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2008 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 10/31/2011

As I drive and reach approximately 45 mph, the car begins to shudder. In order to get it to stop, and I either step harder on the accelerater or I step off the accelerater. This problem happens about 90% of the time and will sometimes happen at a slower speed (25 mph) also, but much less frequently.
