My car has been consuming oil at a higher than normal rate. The engine light came on and they told me it was a pcv valve. My oil smells. I put in 2-4 quarts in-between a 3,000 mile oil change. Even though the recommended oil change for my engine is 4500 miles. So with a standard 5 quart oil change plus 3-5 more quarts, my car is consuming 7-10 quarts every 3,000 miles. This is not normal. I have started the oil consumption test with Hyundai in NW arkansas at crain Hyundai and was told my powertrain warranty is now up to 120,000 mile warranty. I did not know this hyindai corp. Never informed me. Also, I have paid out of pocket for every new oil change I've needed for the last 20,000 miles and oil in-between. Yesterday, while I saw the dipstick was under the l the tech told me it was within normal range. How is this possible? my car has gone into limp mode a few times because of the oil problem.

The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming oil. The contact stated while her daughter was driving approximately 40 mph, the rpm increased from 2,000 to 3,000 rpm. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where they were unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer and diagnosed that an oil change was needed, and the pcv valve needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. Additionally, while her daughter was driving the vehicle hesitated and failed to accelerate. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer and it was determined that an oil consumption test needed to be performed. The manufacturer was notified however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 41,580.

***engine taking too long to start - Smart key*** in some cases it takes too long the engine to start. Engine starter is working but is like the injectors are not supplying gasoline to the engine. It could be over 7 to 10 seconds starting the engine until the engine is running. After that I opened the hood and I found some oil stains on the valve cover. Also where the pcv ventilation is it looks like there is some oil vapors coming outside. Engine is the 2. 0 gdi (nu engine).
