The 2018 Jeep grand cheeroke uconnect/radio screen delaminates and causes the unit to make all kinds of error calls, gps location changes and disabling events, without being touched. This is a serious safety concern and that Jeep or stellantis should voluntarily recall these units for replacement. The driver's attention gets constantly divided to take care of these extra things while driving.

Issue #1: the vehicle exhibits substantial cabin vibration, particularly affecting the steering wheel. This necessitates maintaining a firm grip on the wheel when operating at speeds of 30 mph and above. The vibration intensity escalates in direct proportion to the vehicle's velocity. It has been reported that this vehicle model has documented issues with rear drive shaft bushing failure, which may contribute to excessive play and vibration. Issue #2: the interior door trim applique has delaminated and broken. This issue has been previously reported in service bulletin 23-001-19 rev. B, group: 23-body, dated 8/10/2019, for a different Jeep model.

When driving on any kind of roads the brake pedal has a vibration. I recently changed the tires and it helped a little but the vibration is still there. I want to get this resolved bc I’m afraid of driving sometimes. The vibration isn’t crazy but I don’t know what is causing it. I feel unsafe driving sometimes.

I was sitting inside my home when all of the sudden I heard a loud boom, walked outside and saw my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee on fire. The fire started in the front and moved to the back of the vehicle. The engine had been off for about 2 hours and vehicle was sitting in the driveway. My son's car seat, stroller and many other belongings were ruined in the fire. A police report was not filed, but a fire report was.

The glue of the dashboard has caused the leather on the dashboard to bubble on my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I brought it to the Jeep dealership, and they said it happens all the time from the sun. Its a known defect, but its not covered by the extended warranty. They said they have had recalls on this in the past with other years and models, but not this year/model yet. I reached out to Jeep cares and Chrysler, but neither will help.
We were in a serious car accident. We were t-boned and rolled two or three times. We had to be pulled from the upside down Grand Cherokee. Our complaint is the fuel fill line broke and poured 23 gallons of raw gasoline into the car. My husband was overcome by the gas and and to be revived twice. I had blacked out due to the force of the air bags. We were okay with now, we were removed before the car exploded. The gas should have never entered the cabin!!! if our experience could help someone else we would be relieved.

Unknown- the tailgate opened on the truck.
Upon having the baseplate to tow this vehicle behind our motorhome, it was discovered the bolts to attach the bumper plate to the rightaide frame of the vehicle were missing. The dealer furnished the required bolts for proper installation. In my opinion the crash safety of the vehicle was compromised by not having adequate connections.
Glass sunroof panel shattered while driving on empty highway at 60 mph. No explainable cause, e. G. No driving range nearby. The sunroof was rarely opened and was closed during the incident. There was no prior indication of failure. Noise resembled a loud bang. Shade prevented glass from raining down onto occupants. The noise was sudden and startled driver. Since road was empty, the incident did not cause the driver to loose control. No car behind, when chunks of glass blew off. After driving 15 miles, examination showed about 1/3 of the glass was missing. The much of the remaining glass was removed to reduce occupant risk. Shattered glass was vacuumed and can be examined but not as a pane. Next car will be driven to dealer. And possibly to insurance agent.

The dealer sold the vehicle as new with an open recall. It was sold on 2-24-24 with recall 24v132000 from 2-22-24 unremedied. The dealer failed to disclose the safety recall, putting me at risk on a road trip back to my home state.
While driving going about 40mph, I pressed cruise control to 75. Once my car picked up speed, no other cars around, no overpass, etc. My moon roof exploded out of no where. My 8 month old was in the backseat right under where it busted.
The paint on my hood has bubbling underneath. I’m not sure but someone informed me this was a manufacture related incident when the vehicle was painted and not done correctly, causing paint bubbling. This is only on the front hood area on both side of Jeep emblem.

The passenger side front and rear floor are getting wet when it rain or when is taking to car wash and the fuse box and battery compartment under the passenger seat is full of water electrical component can fail car was taken for repair in January 2024 and will be in the shop March 11 again with same issue.
Passenger front carpet had present water. Anticipated heater core issue. Mechanic discovered a body seal leak, and drained 2 gallons of fluid. Windows fogged, and or froze from the inside of the vehicle.
Windshield leaks during rain season leaving driver seat mat damp.
While driving on the freeway, our sunroof window exploded and shattered completely. We were not around any other cars or an overpass. Thankfully the upper screen was closed otherwise glass would have fallen on us. I have read on Jeep forums that this is happening to a lot of newer Grand Cherokees, so it has to be a manufacturing issue.
Front panel of the panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered with no visible causes, warnings, etc. Safety risks included potential glass being introduced to the cab of the vehicle had the headliner panel been open for natural lighting. Other risks include damaged headliner and electrical components depending on where the glass traveled. Dealership claims this is not an ongoing issue though multiple forums talk about this happening as well for the same style vehicle. We will be dropping car off at the dealership for evaluation as the car is covered under bumper to bumper warranty.
The bolt that holds the liftgate motor on top snapped in half with trying to open. I used the button on the remote to open the lift gate. I heard a loud pop noise as it was trying to open then when I finally got it open I noticed the bolt was snapped in half. Luckily the bolt broke going up not down. If it had broken going down it could have landed on my head or one of my kids. I have reported it to the Jeep dealership where I purchased my vehicle from a little over a year ago. There was no warnings prior to opening the hatch. I did some research to see if this has happen to other people and it has. Some people where not as lucky as me and had it fall on there head. The website I found this at was Jeepgarage. Org and then found out the Dodge durango has the same issue and the website for that is dodgedurango. Net I really hope this gets fixed and recalled before people start getting injured. It is such a small bolt for a heavy door.
When raining the water will leak throug the sunroof or headliner not sure where it comes through but it comes from 2 places one hitting the arm rest / middle console which caused the terrain selection to go out and im worried it will cause the screen or something else to go out and catch on fire as I read it is common with these problems , when I purchased the vehicle as well they said it was just a frozen trunk gate spring but once I looked up the problem happening it is said to cause the gate to go out.

My 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a water leak in the rear compartment area. It is leaking next to the wiring which could cause a fire or electrical short.
As noted on the iihs. Org website, 2022 and 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee's built prior to April 2023 experienced a fuel tank rupture in the side impact test conducted by iihs. Stellantis redesigned the underbody structure to correct this issue. This redesign was put in place on vehicles assembled after March 2023. Iihs originally tested a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee in October 2022 and identified the fuel tank rupture during the side impact test. However, iihs did not post this information on their website until almost a year later when tests of the redesigned vehicle were performed, and the fuel tank leak issue had been corrected. Hence, 2022 and 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s built prior to April 2023 have a significant safety concern that iihs did not inform the public about in a reasonable time frame and more importantly, stellantis is aware of but has not issued a recall to correct the issue on vehicles that were built prior to the redesign. Please review the side crash results on iihs paying attention to the 2022 test where the fuel tank ruptured. Brings back memories of the infamous Ford pinto gas tank design. I am asking for NHTSA to assist in requiring stellantis to issue a recall on vehicles built prior to the redesign to either modify the vehicle to address the fuel tank rupture concern, or if that is not possible buy back the vehicles. Please contact me by e-mail (piper@bnl. Gov) of cell 631-258-5809 if you require more information to pursue this issue. Thank you.
There is a water leak in the rear cargo compartment of the Jeep. Searching on-line I saw that there were numerous complaints of water leaking which may cause an electrical fire. There was suppose to be a recall on 2014 - 2016 Jeeps but when I entered my VIN # it did not come up. I am afraid my vehicle will catch on fire with this water leaking.
Driving 35-45 mph, heard a loud pop from the top of the vehicle. The glass from the sun roof popped and shattered. It put myself at risk because if the shade slide, that separates the inside of the car and the sunroof glass, was pulled back, the glass would have came in & injured everyone in the car. It also puts others near the vehicle at risk as the glass could have hit someone or another vehicle. The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer yet. The the vehicle has not been inspected yet. No warning signs prior to the incident.
Rear window trim piece almost flew off while I was driving. This could have caused an accident or damage. Come to find out you have to replace the whole window to fix the problem too and not just the trim piece.
There are multiple safety recalls for this vehicle that I have only had for 1 month. I began the new lease with this vehicle beginning of March and the vehicle has been back to the dealership 4 times already. Issue #1: the middle part of the steering wheel where the air bag is located came completely off the steering. It was dangling almost causing my boyfriend and I to get t-boned. Since the middle part of the steering wheel was dangling and me trying to turn the wire got caught in the steering wheel not allowing me turn. I was also very lucky that the airbag alone did not deploy in my lap. The car is currently at the dealership getting "fixed" I truly believe that this specific car has multiple recalls. There was no warning at all just came right off. Issue #2: underneath the car the seam sealer was faulty and the dealership has to weld the underneath of the car back together. There was also no warning to this I could hear the pieces clinking together underneath the car. Issue #3: the gas pedal vibrates when you hit speeds 40 mph and above to the point where my foot goes numb. This puts my ability to drive the car at risk especially if my foot goes numb from driving my car. The vehicle is back at the dealership to get this issue fixed for the second time. No warning lamps or messages for this issue.
The sunroof glass exploded during a highway drive. A sudden loud explosion sound caused a big disruption to me, the driver. The glass pieces fell inside the vehicle. No one was injured but I found several interiors places, such as console trim, seat leathers were scratch by glass pieces. There was no waning or anything abnormal. It just happened suddenly. There is no truck in front of us. Just a SUV in from of us in the lane right to us. No cliff or anything that rocks can fall from.
Today I was driving on the highway with a high wind advisory, in the morning driving with the wind was causing my hood to flex under the intake pressure. This afternoon driving against the wind on the highway the wind was strong enough to pop the hood open while the latch kept the hood secured, twice. The winds at the time were 15mph with gusts to 35mph.
The front panel of the panoramic sunroof exploded into small pieces for no apparent reason. I was driving under 35 mph, on a 2 lane road, in clear, warm weather. I heard a "pop", then glass sliding over the roof of the car. In the rear view mirror, I then saw glass falling past the back window. When I stopped to investigate, I found that glass had also fallen down onto the fabric shade, which was thankfully closed. Broken glass falling into the passenger compartment could cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle resulting in a collision, as well as causing direct injury to occupants. After this incident, I found other reports of spontaneous Jeep sunroof failures/explosions online. I will be taking my vehicle to a dealer and filing a warranty claim. I was traveling out of state (1300 miles from home) and could not find replacement glass at any dealers within 250 miles of my return route. Friends vacuumed out most of the glass on the shade before covering the entire opening, and what was left of the panel, with aluminum hvac tape for my journey home. I can still hear glass falling down onto the shade when I drive the vehicle.
