3 Paint problem of the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 09/18/2019

On several sections of the front good, specifically where the painted portion wraps under the front of the hood to meet the alluminum, the the paint is bubbling and in some spots, beginning to rust. I take great care of my vehicle and these paint defects appear to have been caused by either rust being present at the time the vehicle was painted at the factory, or some sort of electrical charge is causing the paint to bubble.

Air ride suspension airbags has to be recharged every month since 2019. While parked front end becomes low (during 1-month period) not leaving appropriate distance from wheel to top of wheel well, resulting is a very bumping ride, until recharged. Brand new oem lines and compressor replaced. Also, while driving 40 mph or less, "air suspension needs service" notification comes on. Front of hood (where the chrome Jeep is displayed) exterior now shows paint corrosion.

5 Paint problem of the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 12/07/2018

The paint on the inside of the hood is bubbling. I believe it is due to iron contamination from the factory. It didn't start bubbling bad until recently. Jeep has had this problem numerous times and ive seen hoods replaced over this. However, my factory warranty has since expired and the manufacturer refused to help me. I wax and polish the car annually so this is completely surprising to me.

6 Paint problem of the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 06/10/2009

I have a 2006 Jeep grand charokee laredo. The paint has been cracking and peeling for the last two years. I have already had the roof and hood painted and spent ovr $1000. 00. When my repair guy painted it, he told me there was three coats of paint on the vehicle. I purchased the vehicle from medved in castle rock, CO in 2006 brand new. It has never been repainted. I have spoke to 3 dealerships and they told me it is a common problem. The entire vehicle is now cracked and will be completely peeled off in 1 year. The quote to fix it is $3500. 00 - $4000. 00. I called Jeep and they offered free oil changes for 2 years. Rediculous. I a still have a loan on it. There is no possible way I can afford to repaint this vehicle. 7 Paint problem of the 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 08/15/2007

Paint is fading and has started peeling, also chips very easily. Exhaust manifold is also cracked. The paint problem has been steadily getting worse since I first noticed it approx. (2) years ago. The vehicle was still loud after the muffler was changed, dealer diagnosed a cracked exhaust muffler. I contacted Chrysler who would not stand behind the factory problems. They stated the vehicle was to old and had to many miles on it.

8 Paint problem of the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 11/01/2006

Vehicle had bird droppings on hood. Washed off same day and ate right through paint down to metal. Jeep will not cover repairs. Noticed that clear coat either does not exist on this vehicle or is very thin. Noticed other spots where bird droppings have left marks on paint and chips in paint all over vehicle. I have owned several vehicles and never have seen paint this bad.

9 Paint problem of the 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 09/28/2005

Poor paint quality. Paint is peeling off of the car.

10 Paint problem of the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 01/30/2005

Within weeks of the purchase of this vehicle on 1/06, paint on bumper began to have small chip marks. As of 7/06 I have noticed more chip marks and also a rub mark where the paint has just rubbed off easily, with no structure damage to the bumper. Also paint nubs ( bubbling) around door handles and paint is coming off of driver door handle at creases. It seems as if paint is poorly applied.

11 Paint problem of the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Failure Date: 09/25/2003

I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the paint is just popping off the top as well as some spots on the hood. Also the bumpers and other trim on the vehicle has this white chalky residue on it and nothing will make it go away. Is there any recalls for this type damage or will you file this complaint so there will be a recall. I also had to have the ac evaporator replaced at my expense. Where do I go to get my reimbursement since I now know this was a recall?.
