Airbag light comes on intermittently.
My airbag light came on and will not go out. The dealer checked it and said I need a new occupant restraint module. It is my understanding that this is a common complaint for these cars. Is there a recall that covers this problem?.
Air bag light comes on intermittently. I had the r06/NHTSA 15v-046 recall for the orc completed on 9/14/17 and the light still comes on.
Air bag light came on at 57,500 miles. Was advised by dealership that this was not connected with the head rest air bag safety system as the light would not come on for that defective issue. Have appt. With dealership to have same repaired 8/25/17. Was advised that air bags may nt deply with light on as there is a promblem with system. System was ok one day and when started up the next day light came on and has been on since.
Air bag light stays on. Same issue as the 2011 Jeep Liberty that was covered under a warranty. Same exact error code but Jeep refuses to cover under recall for the 2012 model.

Airbag light randomly comes on while driving and the dealer quoted me $400 to repair. I have a 3 and 5 year old. I am concerned that if the air bags deploy while driving with my kids in the car, our lives would be in danger. This cost is also not money that I have just sitting around in a bank account.

The air bag light stays on randomly.
Airbag light came on, won't go off. Took it in the Jeep dealership they ran a diagnostic and said that the orc module had to be replaced to the tune of $437 plus taxes etc. Knew that was going to be the diagnosis because of all the complaints on the internet about the 2011 and 2012, apparently it was ok for the 2011's but isn't important enough of a safety issue for the 2012's, when it is the same issue as the 2011's and it truly is a safety issue.
The contact owns a 2002 Jeep Liberty. While driving 35 mph, the air bag and check engine warning indicators illuminated. In addition, the air bag indicator illuminated intermittently. Airbag light continues to appear on and off even though recall m35 was performed. 06/17 rotors had to be replaced along with brake pads. 04/15 passenger side front window regulator repaired 04/13. Not working properly again. A/c condenser replaced 04/13. Not working.

Hello, our Jeep often or always had the airbag light warning on the dashboard. This was a concern of ours, and we had heard awhile back that there was a recall on Jeep Libertys airbag. When attempting to take it in for the recall fix, the company wanted an amount of money that we couldn't afford. Recently my mom was in a car wreck, destroying the vehicles entire front and making it unusable. She told me she only received burns and that she probably wouldv'e been ok if the damaged airbags were fixed. She mentioned to me she received burns on her arms that were the fault of the bad airbags that werent any good. She would be willing to explain this better than I can since I only know that much. Her hand this morning is now swollen from the injury. The vehicle was in a head on car collision with another person set to enter the freeway on a city street.
Airbag light on dash illuminated while driving on highway. Dealer says control module faulty (located center console) and not under warranty. Just over $500 to repair.
I had my recalled occupant restraint module fixed. However, when we drive the car the air bag light /chime comes on and then the light will go away. This happens when turning or driving forward.
The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. On November 14,2016 I had the occupant restraint control module replaced due to a recall launched on November 25,2015. In the recall it also stated that the sensors were to be replaced. Since the "fix" my air bag light has gone on and off, now for the last three weeks the air bag light is on all the time. Was told by auto nation Jeep dealer on March third 2017 that it would cost me approximately $787 and change to fix. Was also told that the sensors for my vehicle were not part of the recall. Need to know if I should take it to another dealer or any other options needed to take.
About 75,000 miles, the air bag light came on while I was driving. It flashed and went off, then came back on. Was diagnosed as occupant restraint control. Dealership told me it was already recalled on older vehicles, but not this year. I am submitting this report to hopefully fix this issue. Chrysler needs to be held responsible for defective parts. I have owned this vehicle since it was new, so I know that it has never been in any wrecks or had any reason for this to be an issue.
Air bag light came on at 30,000 miles. Took vehicle to dealer and they stated that ocr unit faulty and not covered under warranty.
Restraint control module has failed, airbag light is on.
Airbag light on dash lit. Dealer says ocr unit faulty and not under warranty. $521 to repair.

Airbag light randomly comes on and off! after I went to the dealer for airbag control module needed to be replaced due to a recall, which is free repair, but after the repair, the airbag light is off/on the dealer said that I have to pay $199 to fix the diag.
I've had my Jeep for 2. 5 years now. When I first got it, everything was fine and it was inspected prior to purchase. For the past year, the airbag light will come on and off on its own. At first it was intermittent, but for the past 6 months, it is constantly on when the vehicle is running. In addition, about 6 months ago, while driving about 25 mph on a dark, winding road, the horn started sounding and the windshield wipers began running at full speed. I put the car in park, turned it off and then on again, and it stopped. This has not happened again since.
