On may 28th, 2018, I was driving my 2003 Jeep Liberty to see a friend. I had just gotten off the highway when my driver side airbag deployed spontaneously. Fortunately I was only going 10 mph and did not suffer major injuries, but I was cut up and concussed from the force of the airbag. I had my car towed to atlantic Jeep Chrysler in egg harbor twp NJ. They told me I would be given a rental car and an investigation would need to be done. I waited 6 weeks to get my car back, as they kept pushing me when the investigation would finish. During this time I was ubering to my two jobs, as they need provided a rental car. They said Chrysler would cover the rental once I got my car back and to provide receipts. Seeing how this company operates, I knew this would not be the case. They eventually decided to do nothing about my car. It was a tiny chip that made the airbag deploy (they admitted it was an issue) but that they would only replace the chip. I was left with 2. 4k in repairs to my car. They refused to pay for anything, even though it was their chip failure that made the airbag go off in the first place.

I was driving down the road when my passenger side airbag went off. Approximately 10 seconds later my driver side airbag also went off. I was driving about 35 miles an hour down a city street, going straight, and there were no bumps in the road. I was able to pull over into a parking lot and shut the vehicle off. I had previously taken my vehicle in to the Chrysler dealership in lakeland florida where I lived until recently attempting to have the recall fixed and was told they did not have parts and couldn't get them. They said they would call me if they became available. They never called and now I had the airbags deploy while driving.
While driving down the road my passenger side airbag deployed, followed about 10 seconds later by my drivers side airbag. I was travelling about 35 mph on a city street at a steady speed and hit no bumps. I was able to pull my vehicle over to the side of the road. I contacted Jeep to get them to repair my vehicle and they started a case (#30180485) on sept 24, 2016. I did not hear from Jeep again until 10/24/2016 when we received a letter informing us that this was not their responsibility. Since the recall r06 states that the airbag could deploy if not fixed, and I took it to a Chrysler service center to have this recall done and was told they did not have a fix for this recall but would contact me when one became available. I was never contacted again by Jeep letting me know the repair was available. I do not understand why they refuse to fix the vehicle. I am not looking for this as a warranty repair, but it should be their responsibility based on the failure to fix the recall when I took it to them. Also, since the airbags deployed it did damage to the dash and steering wheel of the Jeep which will need repairs also. I don't understand why I should be responsible for this expense, and why Jeep is failing to handle this.

Prior to accident, the sky slider leaked water into the electrical roof light compacts dropping down into gear shift. Also leaked into trunk and back seat of Jeep from ceiling. Even after repaired by dealership twice, it continued to leak water during and after rain. The automatic driver side window since leaking issues, has shorted and failed to close (go up) on a daily basis. Jeep front end collision had zero deployment of airbag in front- includes during/after passenger side rollover. Only side air bags deployed. Concussion and muscle spasms resulted from accident. Body hit against steering column, head and arm against driver window and frame. Entire week of unpaid medical leave from employer by doctors order. Total loss of Jeep. Seatbelt held me in suspense while Jeep was on it's side. Although it left me with pains in hips, abdomen and legs, the seatbelt saved me from ending up in the window and glass in my skin from the rollover window glass breakage. Feels like Jeep initiated rollover upon front impact after having been stopped completely.

I was driving to work ~ 8:15 am and the passenger-side air bag exploded. I was still driving when the driver-side air bag exploded and I immediately pulled over and jumped out of the vehicle. I tried to open the door as I had left the car running and the doors were locked. I keep a hide-a-key on the car and the key would not unlock the doors. I went to the rear gate of the car and it would not open, however, the glass popped open and I was able to crawl in the car and turn the engine off. I then called for a tow and took my car to the Jeep dealership. I was then informed that the dealership was told not to do anything with the vehicle, they would be contacting Jeep corporate. About 1 week later, I received a telephone call from their recall technician who informed me that the air bags deploying were a result of the recall that was issued for Jeep Liberty. I have never received a recall notice with regards to the issue with the air bags until two (2) weeks after. . . . August 3 or August 4, 2014.

The day, July 10, 2014, started out with my wife, granddaughter and me going to the grocery store in my 2008 Jeep Liberty. We were back by noon, had some lunch and about 1:30pm put granddaughter down for a nap. About 2:00pm wife needed to go into town for an errand. She backed the Jeep out of our driveway and continued down the road going about 15 mph. The front passenger tire blows (4 tires on the vehicle bought approx. 14 months prior to the incident - goodyear p225/75r16 wrangler st 104s) and the side airbags deployed. Vehicle did not hit anything nor was it hit by anything. Wife did sustain a slight red bruise on her left cheek. Good thing it did not happen with all of us in the vehicle or going 65 mph on the highway. I called Chrysler customer service. Chrysler group llc conducted an investigation into the incident and inspected the Jeep. The inspection found no indication of a manufacturing defect that caused or contributed to the incident. Hard to believe that a front tire blows and side airbags deployed at 15 mph. Jeep is supposed to be a rugged off-road vehicle.

Passenger side window in front made a loud noise and went down when rolling down power window. Then one by one each of my trucks window did the same thing. None of the windows will roll back up. When I called the dealership she was aware told me this happens to all of those types of vehicles and when I replace them more than likely it will happen again. To fix the regulators in all four windows will be 350-500 per window to repair. The regulator from what I understood is a small plastic piece in these specific trucks that break all the time.
