Jeep Liberty owners have reported 2 problems related to car will not accelerate (under the electrical system category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Jeep Liberty based on all problems reported for the Liberty.
The Jeep will randomly stall when I try to accelerate, especially in situations where I need to accelerate quickly, e. G. At an intersection or when merging onto the interstate. I will press the gas, and the Jeep will not accelerate. I will push down more on the gas, and the Jeep does not respond. It has nearly caused an accident every time. Also, the Jeep will randomly not start. I will turn the key, there is one click, all the lights on the dash come on as usual, but the vehicle will not fire up. I can turn the key repeatedly, but the vehicle will not start. I have to let the Jeep sit for about 20 minutes before it will start up again. No codes are sent to the computer signaling an error or malfunction. No lights come on in the dash, either. My Jeep is randomly not functioning when being started or when accelerating and yet, the Jeep is not sending any codes or displaying any lights to indicate any problems. The tipm (totally integrated power module) is completely faulty and is going to cause serious harm to my family and others!.
