The entire dashboard set of alarm lights go on as soon as the vehicle starts. The speedometer stops working, the hand break light is on so it appears as it actually activates it and it slows the vehicle impacting drivability, the radiator fan is constantly working, the 4wd mode is activated by default also impacting drivability, impossible to see if the car is overheating, and it could very well be that the airbags would not work if needed. This all adds to a very unsafe drive.
The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that while driving their vehicle on the highway at approximately 65 mph they noticed an abnormal wobbling come from the front end of the vehicle , as well as the lights on the dashboard had illuminated. The contact drove their vehicle over to the local tire shop where the vehicle was given new tires as well as a 4 wheel alignment. However the issue persisted while driving. A couple of days pass by and while driving on the highway at an undisclosed speed, the caller stated that their vehicles gear shifter had seized, and that the engine had turned off. The contact was able to pull off to the side of the road in order to park and inspect their vehicle, the contact called a local mechanic to drive to their vehicle in order to diagnose it, the contact was informed that the vcm was out and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate mileage at the time of failure was 95,000.
I was driving on the roadway when suddenly the front driver side power switch (which controls the automatic windows, doors and mirrors), caught fire and started smoking. Unsure of what to do, I pulled over and tried to investigate. When the smoke subsided I drove to an oil change store, which had serviced my vehicle in the past, and asked for assistance from a technician on duty. While investigating, the power switch started smoldering again. The tech had no other option but to disconnect the power switch, by cutting the wires, to prevent future fire damage - as the wires and power switch had melted together. I contacted Jeep to share my concern but they declined assistance. I performed a google search and found instances of two incidences similar to my experience. Note: I have a brief video but couldn’t upload it - photo option was the only option provided.
Air conditioner, horn and various dash lights not working properly or at all.
The contact owns a 2004 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the rear windows failed to operate as needed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that the control module needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 164,000.

My windows will not roll up and down. If I roll them down they will not come back up. My air conditioning went out and I had to drive , 45 minutes, home in 105 degree heat with no recourse . I could have passed out! there was a recall on the windows parts but I bought my Jeep used and the recall ended before I purchased it. If Chrysler diamler knows that there is an issue there should be no end date to the recall. Every vehicle should be repaired. What if I had a baby or child with me?.

Faulty tipm several electronic issues including electronic throttle system. Vehicle doesn't respond due to faulty tipm sometimes starts very rough and stalls out.
My heater takes 45-60 mins to heat up my car, and it doesn’t blow full force when it’s on the highest setting. On cold days I literally have to start my car up 45 before I need to leave just to have a slight warmth inside. Once I’m moving, it barely blows any heat through the vents. The highest setting feels like it’s on the lowest setting.
Airbag light is on. Right front passenger door won’t lock or unlock automatically. Left front aux light inop. Not bulb related. Right front aux light goes off when right turn signal is activated.
The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that the indicator lights would activate without warning and other lights would stop working. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic where it was diagnosed with needing the tipm module replaced. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact was awaiting a response. The failure mileage was 103,994.
I have a 2010 Jeep Liberty sport and it's headlights continue to go off on me while on the highway and it's only noticeable at night in which is not safe. I've changed both light bulbs in which worked and then went out within 20 mins agai at night on the highway. Then I changed the 30amp/relay. Then I changed the dimmer switch. All of this did not work. Then the dealer changed the windshield that is located on the right hand side and it worked for about a week with the passenger side light going out but working when I shimmy the cord of conductor. But like it did previously it's now not just the passenger light as both lights are again not working. And they are starting to flicker then just goes out altogether to where now the shimmy is no longer effective. Now I've done all I can do on the electrical realm but it seems as though everything I've attempted is just temporary or does not work at all. What is the problem. Please help!.
The rear window latch does not work. It will not open to latch the window closed with the back door. The window then opens when driving. I have a bungee cord holding my window closed. So anyone can enter my vehicle and it moves when I stop or go. I am ot able to use my back door due to having to redo it everytime. My driverside door also does not lock or unlock all the doors when I press the lock or unlock button. I have to open my door and shut off Jeep and try numerous times for ot to work.

My engine and the entire electrical stop while driving, every system stopped while driving in the middle of the road. This vehicle has had many issues from defective drivers seats, oil leaks, windows not working, seat belt malfunctions, recalls, head rest issues, leaks from who know where the dealer had it time and time again misdiagnosed it several times, it was in the Jeep dealer and did not even make it out of the parking lot went it stopped again. All warning lights went on waring for several problems it is now stuck in my home. This Jeep is as fca knows a lemon these problems go back years even when I bought it , it has never ever worked or operated properly or safely. Needs to be all recalled and refund all my monies.
My airbag light came on a few weeks ago and hasn't stopped going on and off it makes that annoying sound the whole trip every time I drive, the heat won't cut on it blows cold air I've had it looked at and repaired allegedly but it still won't blow hot air, the car keeps stalling and it has completely shut off on me 3 times while I have been driving once on a busy freeway I was luckily by grace of god able to turn the wheel off to the side of the road before it locked I have a 2 year old daughter and I'm currently pregnant this is insane and nobody can tell me what's wrong with it or how to fix any of these problems I got a loan for this car so now I'm stuck with this death trap, and now I'm seeing all these complaints about the same thing I'm baffled by the neglect and lack of concern or care for customers and there families who ride in their vehicles safety, I would think it would be a no brainer to recall the whole car if you can't fix the safety concerns or don't have a solution, I need a car to drive I'm wasting so much money on rentals because I have no options with this Jeep I need a solution this is crazy I rely on my vehicle for work as I do uber eats and grub hub I need help!!.
Car automatically unlocks many times per day. No one around, no keys near by. Car was key locked and this unlocking still continues. Car is stationary parked in driveway. Has happened several days. I reported only the beginning date.
My heated seat was on low and it has been getting extremely hot lately, well today it caught on fire. And about a month ago my ball joints all went out while driving.
This cars tipm system is extremely faulty I've had it fixed 3 already and it still acts as of it is possessed. This happened on the freeway where the car started going off by it's self stalled and couldn't do anything about it. I almost died. There has been many complaints about this vehicles tipm system but Jeep refuses to recall them. Also the airbags do not deploy. This is a huge safety issue.
Not sure when locks stopped only drivers door locks with fob. Main problem drivers rear blinker-stop light not working replaced bulbs and nothing. Whole unit doesn't work.
Traveling last night and the lights went up, down then out for almost 20 seconds and doing 40 mph is scary. The lights finally came on but then they dim up and down. Before this last week the cruise control would not disengage. I never know what's going to happen when I drive this vehicle and the worst thing is taking it out at night and having the lights go out. This week was the forth time that has happened thank god it happened on a lighted road but I still had no brake lights. All times this has happened I've been on interstate highways and traveling at night.
Hello, my name is jamie woodley. I'm filing this complaint on my 2006 Jeep Liberty sport. Currently, there's a recall for the suspension rear lower control arms. I've read the previous recalls on it, which I saw this vehicle has been reprogrammed before. I've only had the vehicle for a few months and I've had an oil leak, bad thermostat, and the transmission is busted. I can't reverse or drive over 10 mph. I heard the transmission may be in fail safe mode. I had midas do a full inspection, but they failed to acknowledge the lower control arms by suggesting brakes. I knew it wasn't the brakes. The technician drove the vehicle after the brakes were done, but I still heard/felt a problem with the suspension. There is a recall for that from 2018. I purchased the vehicle last year in March 2020. Also, the rear lift gate was dented when I bought it like the vehicle may have been in an accident. This was a vehicle I purchased for my 2 kids and I. This vehicle has been giving me problems since I bought it. The back driver's side window won't go all the way up. I have to keep a stick in between just to keep the window from falling all the way in the door. Definitely not a safe vehicle. My engine stalled out on the free way while I was on my way to pick up my kids. After my oil change, no oil light came on. I am seeking help with any buy back programs or a valued trade in appraisal. I have a quote from conrad's on how much it's going to cost to fix it and the price is over $3,000. I have extended warranty, but am unsure if it will cover any service requests. That is pretty outrageous that it's going to cost that much to fix it. I've been at take 5 to keep up on the maintenance and was told I had an oil leak somewhere. On top of the brakes, I've spent money on 4 new tires, 6 ignition coils, an O2 sensor, and I bought a new pcm/ecu computer I have yet to have installed. Feel free to contact me at the information I've provided. I'd be truly grateful for any assistance. Thanks!.

The tipm in my Jeep is messing up and causing engine stalling, radio failure, etc. I have a blue driver that constantly gives me codes related to this part defect. I've also got an airbag light coming on all the time and yet my VIN shows no recalls for this part. If I get into an accident my airbag might possible fail. My engine has almost stalled 3-4 times since I've owned it either from a stop light accelerating or crossing at an intersection this is very dangerous.
When the vehicle is on and in motion the tire pressure comes on and blinks and stays solid whenever a car charger is in the charging port. The sensor let's the driver think it needs air in the tires when it doesnt.
The vehicles doors lock and unlock while the car is in motion. The lights have gone out while moving down the road. The wipers will intermittently go on and off . The lights on the dash and radio will dim while driving. The car shifts multiple times while moving.
The tipm failed, causing all types of serious problems which you are already aware of.
Purchased a 2005 Jeep Liberty in the state of wisconsin, a state that has excessive cold and icy weather, streets are heavily salted. The Jeep I purchased has had several recalls, major was the rear end control arm, which the dealership repaired. 2005 Jeep Liberty also has major electrical problems which causes the engine cooling fan to short out. Having it to be frequently replaced once a year. 2nd major problem is the front right control arm assembly front upper left and right. Along with wheel hub assembly, both corrodes and can cause the steering to brake into, resulting in a lost of steering causing a major accident while driving. These major mechanical problems needs should be recalled, so they can be replaced or repaired. I've taken the Jeep to different repairs shop and was told the Jeeps are known for safety issues including electrical and control arm problems and to check for recalls.
When driving through town the dash lights up completely with all the warnings coming on and the wipers turn on and won't turn off. The warnings include the brakes and airbags. This has happened 3 times in a few days. We had it diagnosed and they said it's the tipm module. This Jeep doesn't even have 100k miles yet and there are tons of reports of this issue online.
When I am driving my Jeep the parking break will randomly come on when I am driving down the highway or street. The heat shaft under my Jeep completely fell off while I was driving 30 miles per hour on a city street. The electric windows, locks and auto start frequently glitch out where they just do not work at all. The cruise control works only about half of the time and will not turn on at all the other half of the time.
