Tipm failure in transit. Jeep stalled on roadway. All dash lights lit, and "no bus" on the odometer. Near collisions but lucky they managed to stop. 2008 Jeep Liberty limited. Is not open for a recall on the tipm replacement though all other years with same module are. '07 09' and later. Not safe. And potentially deadly.

The steering gear is coming apart and is slipping which causes it to feel like you're driving sideways down the road. The windows will not go down without making a horrible noise and the thermostat housing needs to be replaced. After driving the Jeep it smells like its been on fire.

As as I was driving doing around 50 my skyslider rood opened up just like that and I have many leaks coming in causin my electrical components to malfunction at times and I also have my sensor that stays on stating low air pare tire waited 6 months for a part from the dealer and now I'm scared to even open it up and still have the lots of leaks on any rainy day this is ridiculous bec that was the selling point as to why I got this vehicle and now I'm to scared to use it bec I've heard from others that it comes lose and flies off causing accidents pls pls someone do something bout this bec it's not right and there is no help for Jeep thanks.
Radio doesnt work -wipers come on by them selfs-little heat turn blow up brake lights come on, slip light for tires comes on dash and seat belt guy with airbag lights up on dash -motor loses power driving down road with heater blower on. Took to mr. Tire auto service center for a full curtesy inspepection and they found out its eletrical issue . I have a video of me sitting in my work parking lot with the lights on dash . I dont know what the heater has to do with the lights on dash or my brake lights coming on and radio not working and why the motor loses power drive it im scard of driving it because of a fire braking out but I have no choice it the only vechicle I have to drive back and forth to work. I had this vehicle for less then three years.
Cluster backlighting random instrument backlight goes off or flickers.
The evap container isnt the right part and obviously was actually for a Jeep wrangler and has an extra inlet. After numerous attempts to contact Jeep for the last 4 months and still nothing this vehicle will stall while driving and it drives alot of interstate travel which is a huge safety risk and still have gotten nowhere all I want is for Jeep to make this right and fix the manufacturer mess up.
I the vehicle safety inspection and was told the left side lower ball joint going bad. The transmission module is tripping the check engine light. The driver side windows (front and back) makes awful sound going up. The ac compressor has stopped working.

Since the day I got the vehicle I have had nothing but problems it shut off while driving the steering wheel would lock up and all lights on dash would light up. Turn the key off wait a minute and it would start back up. Ground wire issue, the driver window stopped working 2x electrical problem. The power side mirror doesnt work it. While driving switches between 2 and 4 wheel drive on its own. The 4 wheel drive doesnt work. Transfer case, linkage cable broken. The part time light stay flashing or lite up on the dash the drive shalf broke and lower ball joint broke while driving. While driving the loss of traction lights up the dash. The radiator fan stopped working, water pump broken. The ac compressor and clutch went out while driving. If I leave the climate knobs turn on while vehicle not in use it drains the battery, ( the form wouldn't allow me to click any more boxes) I've had it towed, I believe this was a lemon and shouldn't of even been sold.

August 2018 the electrical went out. Radio/stereo, automatic door lockers. Paid to get this fixed. August 2019. Exact same problem. The dealer fixed it. It happened again 3 days later. Then they kept car from 9/4-9/20 and could not fix it. I still have no electrical in steroe or door mechanisms.
Jeep was shut off and in park in parking lot when flames were seen coming out from under the hood. By the time the fire dept. Arrived, the fire had started to breach the firewall in the front of the Jeep.
I was on the highway came to a stop at a traffic light the Jeep stalled and would not restart (no crank, no start). The traffic light was on a incline of a hill, the Jeep was too heavy for one person to push up, and rolling backwards into oncoming 60+mph traffic was not a option. A group of good citizens helped push the Jeep to safety. Battery was fully charged, but security light was on, preventing a restart. In addition when the key is turn to the start position the check engine light does not light up as normal. Plus ecm is not connecting to the scan tool. Scan tool displays connection error. The ecm failed. Before the failure the Jeep ran perfect.
Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The key seized in the ignition happened when the vehicle was parked at home the shifter cable fractured the contact stated that on several occasions after the vehicle was parked with the gear shift lever in the park position, the contact was unable to remove the key. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed. Simi valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram located at 2350 first st, simi valley, CA 93065, (805) 581-9090 was contacted by phone for an estimate on the cost of the part for the shifter cable. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufactured was contacted and notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 137,000. Piir=y. Ah.
2008 Jeep Liberty limited is unlocking on its own which is causing a safety hazard. My son removed the fuse, the door has to be locked manually. The only door that does not lock is the rear tailgate. The vehicle has been parked in the yard, at work, parking lots at the movies, the malls, etc. And when I returned to the vehicle it is unlocked. Please advise your remedy to resolve this issue to keep the vehicle safe and locked at all times.
The sky slider roof will not close, leaving the top open and contributing to water damage and electrical problems.

The instrument cluster lights intermittently turn off, sometimes just a 1/4 of the rpm gauge, sometime both 1/4 of rpm and mph gauge, sometimes half of one, none of the other, sometimes 3/4 of both, sometimes all of mph and rpm gauge. It is totally random what will be illuminated and what won't be. Digital compass displays only dashes, no direction. Windows will roll down (power windows) but will not roll back up unless you turn off the Jeep and turn it back on.
I lease my vehicle from jd byrider we first noticed the windows after my purchase. I went there 3 times he said he would have to take the door apart. While at the drive inns I realized there was no heat I was freezing they attempted to fix it worked like 2 days then stopped. The 4 wheel drive sticks I'm not sure if its electrical cuz the windows dont work n when it rains the tailgate light comes on with the inside lights?since I bought it the wheels make a really loud noise you cannot have windows down its behind my seat. I have read about ppls cars catching on fire they had no way to escape due to windows in these Jeeps I have been in a burning van on route 20 in girard community auto did something bad to my van and this is the first time me driving in years. My 30 days are up and I cannot pay to fix these problems I pay $380 a month for car payment & $700 rent I have 4 children and a grandson we need heat a safe vehicle to drive.
I was driving down the road when there was a bad pop sound loud sound I didn't know if I had been hit by somebody throwing something or if I'd actually been shot at and then the window slams down it just literally disappears I wasn't for sure if it was shattered with glass flying everywhere so I had to pull into the turning lane . It all happened so fast very fast this is my 16 year old daughter's car had she been driving I feel like we would have been talkin about different circumstances because I barely kept control of the car to pull it to the center lane. Not to mention both of the back windows will not roll up or down there now taped we have owned this car may be 3 months at most. I just went to the reviews and you can literally read for hours on the windows in the 2007 and a few other year models in the Jeep Libertys in a couple other models where their windows literally do this a lot I called Jeep to see how much it would cost to fix their wanting outrageous some of money knowing there's an issue. I was so upset I call Jeep customer service today this happened because I could only imagine my daughter being behind the wheel of that stupid Jeep and I was very emotional like I said I barely myself controlled the Jeep well enough to get it off the road this shouldn't be happening I asked him does it take someone to die to get things recalled because like I said you can literally read online reviews about the Liberty 2007 for hours about this issue and these don't happen just want some people that actually replace their windows motors and all this other rigmor or numerous times I guess I should have read the reviews online before I got it for my daughter because I definitely wouldn't have got it. Please help.
After driving the vehicle to my destination and shutting it off. It will not restart when I go to drive it to the next location . This has happened numerous times. It has left me stranded a couple times. While driving the vehicle to a location the headlights seem to dim on their own. After having a mechanic look at it. I was told it was the tipm causing the issues.
I started my car and my headlights flashed on and off about 3 or 4 times. After that happened I have been unable to get my headlights to stay on the just flash and shut off. My fog lights work properly but other headlights just flash and stay off. I have checked fuses/relays and nothing has changed.
This is the 3rd window lift plate on our Jeep that we have had to get repaired . They want to charge me $550. 00 to replace this one also . This problem makes us not want to open any of our windows, which is a manufacturing defect which should be under a recall. The track is plastic and it breaks a lot . I've heard many complaints from unsatisfied Jeep owners with the same problem. We were parked and my wife tried to open the window and it snapped and the power window wouldn't roll back back up and we were stuck with the window half way up and it was 5 degrees outside. . . Not fun !!!!.
Jeep will just die while driving down the road, engine shuts off, got to the side of the road safely, the second time was able to get into a parking lot all the lights came on wipers came on while in the off position, windows stopped working locks stopped working, fuel gauge said empty when its full if this happened on a highway could be life threatening as everything stops working power steering brakes.
Turned vehicle on and wipers were going and switch was turned to off, enterior lights flash on and off, no turn signals, says back gate is open and it's not, doors lock on their own, air bag light says off, burning smell, alarm goes off at random.
The tipm(total integrated power module) has sticking or defective relays, fails to properly work on factory installed trailer hitch, and now rear braking lights staying on, causing a dead battery. I had to pull a fuse to stop this. The tipm has had a long history of manufacturing defects in other Chrysler vehicles which were recalled, replaced by mfr. I recommend the same for this model.
Rear power window made cracking grinding noise and window failed to raise or lower.

The radio keeps skipping while playing the radio, cds and during bluetooth.
Car wouldnt start; when finally did, pulled out to road, couldnt get it to go past 35 mph, pressed gas pedal, even tachometer wouldnt go faster; couldnt get any getup and go; pulled to side of road, put in park, tapped accelerator few times, wouldnt accelerate; afraid to shutdown, so started out on road (45 mph speed), car wouldnt accelerate past 35, finally got home; shut off, wouldnt start again. Calling dealer. Looks like others have similar problem. Engine light came on, red light under it flashed then stayed on.
Heater blower resistor keeps burning out. Replaced multiple times. Please issue recall!!!.

When starting my car it drives okay, but if let running all the lights come on, and if I drive 5 minutes down the road it goes off and then bings and all comes back on. I am being told it may be my clockspring and most 2008 Jeeps are experiencing that after 100,000 miles but it is not a recall issue. I has the check engine on constantly as well as the airbag sensor.
I have several different issues with my 08 Jeep Liberty. The locks randomly lock and unlock. When I use the lock button on the transmitter, it'll unlock the doors sometimes right after or at some point when parked. The headlights randomly come on and go off when parked. The traction control light comes on intermittently while driving. The traction control system also randomly activates on dry pavement and even throws the front end out of alignment because it will brake one wheel. I've almost had several accidents because of this engaging. Also, when the traction/stability control engages there's a noise from the brake system followed by smoke at whatever wheel it's trying to brake. I took it into dealer and they replaced my front brakes and rotors and that hasn't fixed the problem. Now they are saying I need a new draft shaft, tie rods and a couple other front end pieces. I don't believe that's where the problems are coming from. It's a scary situation driving this because I don't know if I'm going to make it where I'm going because the steering can lose control because of the traction system. Also, it's developed a major leak in the hatch area by the top plastic pieces where it rains and the back floor looks like a swimming pool after it rains. I told the dealer but they have yet to tell me if they found out why it's leaking. I also replaced the blower fan and relay for the ac thinking that it will fix an issue where the air in the vents are barely blowing. No fix. Ac is weak. The heat works best when in motion. Heat will heat up while driving and I feel like I'm being boiled alive. Have to keep on high to get any air out of the vents, however. The transmission is clunky shifting and the fluid has been changed. Power steering is difficult to turn.
All my lights are on in dash(check engine, tire pressure, traction control, abs) when this happens my ac doesn't work. . . The gauages doesn't work. Test done by mechanic say communication failed. . .
All the lights stay on and wont go out the window will not go down or up.
Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that there was an internal failure with the wire being pinched concerning a wire with the oxogen sensor. The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic who indicated that the pinched wire was the failure however, there was no specification of what part needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not inspected and diagnosed by a dealer yet. The vehicle was excluded from NHTSA campaign number: 06v036000 (electrical system) however, the vehicle exhibited the same failure related to the recall campaign. The vehicle was not repaired yet. The approximate failure mileage was 136,000. Dyd.
2006 Jeep Liberty. The rod linking between the key side of the ignition and the switch is broken. I have seen enough complaints online of the same year model to know this is a common failure that should be a recall. Also, the rod is not available, only the entire column and it is very expensive.
