. I am submitting this complaint regarding the handling of two safety recalls affecting my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4-door 4xe, which I learned about through my “November vehicle health report” email on November 22, 2025. Since then, I have been in ongoing communication with Jeep, Chrysler customer care, and mopar; however, they have not provided sufficient guidance. 1) recall 68c: the vehicle health report included a link to the fca recall notice advising owners to “refrain from recharging” and to “park away from structures and other vehicles. ” Chrysler emailed on November 26 offering a 30-day rental reimbursement tied only to recall 68c, but the amount does not cover an equivalent or safe winter-capable vehicle for our region. 2) recall 78c: I have been unable to obtain clear information regarding recall 78c. The vehicle health report included minimal details and no link to the fca documentation. I found the part 573 safety recall report (25v766) on the NHTSA website while trying to determine if the vehicle was safe to drive. Chrysler customer care repeatedly avoids answering whether a “do not drive” advisory exists for 78c and continually redirects me to the 68c guidance. The NHTSA representative I spoke with was also unsure why Chrysler did not select either advisory checkbox (do not drive / park outside) on page 3 of the 78c report, leaving owners without essential guidance. 3) impact on safety and daily life: my household relies on a single vehicle. With no safety guidance for 78c and an engine warning light that appeared on October 3, 2025—along with electric mode not functioning that day, which required service at the Jeep dealership—we determined it was safest not to drive the vehicle. We have now been without transportation for seven days. We kindly ask NHTSA to help us (and other customers) secure clear 78c safety guidance and an equivalent transportation solution until the recall is resolved.

Last week the cat went in for the open recalls. However the electrical and propulsion problems are still going on so I think it’s more than software. The car jerks and come close to stalling almost like a standard transmission with the clutch not catching properly. Additionally, and this is separate and does not occur with the problem described above. The dashboard lights randomly go off. It has no correlation to anything just randomly shut off then come back on.

I am submitting this complaint regarding multiple open safety recalls on my Jeep, including two fire-risk recalls that currently have no available repair. Jeep/stellantis has informed me that they cannot confirm whether my vehicle is safe to drive, and they instructed me to park the vehicle away from buildings, trees, and other vehicles due to the potential fire hazard. I am unable to comply with these instructions because I live in an apartment complex where all parking spaces are close to other vehicles and surrounded by trees. At work, I must park inside a parking garage with no alternate options. I have small children, and if the vehicle were to catch fire, they cannot exit the vehicle independently, which significantly increases the danger. I have contacted the dealership, who confirmed they cannot authorize a rental or loaner for this recall. They instructed me to escalate directly to Jeep corporate. I have attempted to contact the Jeep recall department by phone and received a “closed” message during normal business hours. I have also sent written documentation to Jeep corporate and my leasing company (ally financial) outlining the safety concerns, my inability to safely comply with the parking instructions, and my request for a rental or loaner. Ally has opened a case to document the issue. At this time, Jeep has not provided a fix or a safe transportation alternative, and I have no safe way to operate or park the vehicle. I am filing this complaint to document the safety risk and request assistance in obtaining a safe transportation solution until Jeep provides a remedy for the fire-related recalls.
Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe my vehicle has two separate critical safety recalls with no remedy available: high-voltage battery fire risk (vehicle may catch fire even when parked; cannot charge; must park outside). Recall 68c for engine contamination with sand causing catastrophic engine failure, fire, and sudden loss of propulsion. Jeep states that repair parts are unavailable for both recalls. This makes the vehicle unsafe to drive, unsafe to charge, unsafe to park near structures, and unusable for transportation. I am requesting NHTSA intervention to compel stellantis to provide a remedy or repurchase the unsafe vehicle.
While driving on the highway my Jeep lost speed and power steering. All the warning lights flashed on and off while dinging. Dealership can't get a code to see what the problem is to fix correctly. Jeep has 2 dangerous recalls that could catch fire while driving or sitting. Both issues put my life at risk. Stellantis denied buy back.
I was driving on the freeway, 65mph, in los angeles and the '21 Jeep Wrangler 4xe started showing a bunch of error messages telling me to safely pull over, loss of propulsion, etc. I lost power and was unable to drive past 38mph. Upon getting to the end of the off-ramp and before coming to a full stop, the vehicle threw itself into parking gear. I shifted to park, and it wouldn’t shift out of park, while I was blocking traffic on the off-ramp, which could have been a dangerous incident. I required a tow truck. There was a check engine light and a 12v battery light while I was bricked. The tow truck was unable to jump start it. The dealer provided a pre-scan report showing stored codes p0607 (ecu internal performance) and p1b13 (park-by-wire unintended out of park). Refusal to repair: the dealer just replaced the 12v battery and "cleared the codes" (per their invoice). There is a known TSB 08-054-22 (NHTSA id 10248015) specifically relating to code p0607 software logic, but they refused to look into it further. I didn’t have confidence in their diagnosis, and when requesting them to do a safety test drive with me, they refused. When I pressed for safety verification, the service director told me to “leave the dealership and never come back. ” I was genuinely concerned about the safety of this vehicle and their lack of investigative diagnosis, specifically their refusal to verify if the TSB was performed to ensure the hybrid control modules have up-to-date software. They refused to offer any help and just told me to “take the vehicle and leave. ” I don’t believe it’s normal for a car to lose propulsion from a weak 12v battery while driving. There seems to be a more complicated communication issue (p0607) that is happening, and it very much concerns me as losing propulsion on the highway is very dangerous.
The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to auto zone, where it was diagnosed with engine and electrical failures. Additionally, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v741000 (electrical system); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact was concerned about driving the vehicle because of the possibility of the vehicle catching on fire. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.
My Jeep Wrangler 4xe is affected by two open NHTSA safety recalls: 25v-766 (engine casting sand contamination) and 25v-741 (hv battery separator damage). Both recalls involve serious safety risks including fire, sudden loss of propulsion, and catastrophic engine failure. In the official Jeep owner portal, both recalls show “remedy not available” and “parts not available. ” Jeep also instructs owners not to recharge the vehicle and to park away from buildings, indicating an active fire hazard. The vehicle cannot be repaired because no remedy exists. The dealer confirmed that repairs cannot be performed. I also experienced abnormal vibrations while driving, which Jeep documented under a separate case number. This issue remains unresolved as well. These defects place occupants and others at risk because the vehicle may lose power without warning or catch fire. Stellantis/fca has not provided any repair option or timeline. I am requesting NHTSA oversight due to the ongoing safety hazard and the lack of an available remedy.

On November 13, 2025 at approximately 9:00 a. M. My wife was driving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe on the massachusetts turnpike. Prior to making the trip to my wife's cancer appointment, the vehicle was fully charged and had a full tank of gas. Traffic was extremely heavy and was stop and go, in the area of newton massachusetts. My wife notified me that a alert came across the dashboard that the vehicle needed to be plugged in. At the time the vehicle had over a half tank of gas and there was no ability to pull over and charge the vehicle. There were no rest stops in the area to even try to address this issue. Without warning the vehicle shut down in the middle of the massachusetts turnpike at the height of rush hour morning traffic. My wife, [xxx] daughter, and I were terrified as a 18 wheeler hit his horn and nearly rear-ended us just as the vehicle shut down. The vehicle would not respond to anything. Vehicles continued to blow their horn and we were nearly struck several times. My wife called 911 immediately requesting assistance. The massachusetts state police responded to aid, but it was 15 terrifying minutes of angry drivers blowing their horns and we were nearly struck on several occasions. We were stuck for over 30 minutes until the tow truck arrived. I have been a police officer for 19 years and this was more terrifying than any call I responded to in my career. I feared my family was going to be killed. The vehicle was towed to mc govern Jeep in newton mass. They reported that the battery needed to be replaced and the charging system. Jeep tried to blame this on two recalls, which they do not have a remedy for. Mcgovern Jeep and my dealership advised me that this was not caused by anything I did as the owner. I religiously serviced this vehicle through my dealership with oil changes and tire rotations. My vehicle had been inspected and was cared for meticulously. Jeep has refused to buy back the vehicle as I refuse to put my family back in that vehicle information redacted pursuant to the freedom of info.
2 major safety recalls on the vehicle. Manufacturer advised not to drive the vehicle. No solution provided. No loaner vehicle offered. This is my only vehicle, not driving it is not an option, I need transportation to and from work. I have a family. I am terrified to drive the vehicle, let alone put my kids in it. I have reached out to the dealership, stellantis and oem in regards to rectifying the situation with either a loaner vehicle or release me from the lease due to the vehicle not being safe to drive.
Recall numbers: 25v-741 (battery fire risk), 25v-766 (engine casting contamination) summary of issue: I am filing this complaint because my vehicle is subject to two urgent safety recalls, including risk of fire when parked and catastrophic engine failure. Despite contact with Jeep and my dealership, remedies have not been provided in a timely manner. The recalls remain incomplete, and been advised only to park away from structures and refrain from charging — which is not a practical or safe long-term solution. Safety risk: the vehicle poses a fire hazard even when stationary. Engine contamination may lead to sudden propulsion loss, creating crash risk. These defects endanger both occupants and bystanders. Manufacturer response: fca us has acknowledged the recalls but has not provided remedies. Repairs not until 2026 impact on daily life: I am a caregiver for elderly parents [xxx] , [xxx] old) and rely on safe, reliable transportation. The inability to use this vehicle safely has disrupted caregiving responsibilities and created significant hardship. No longer driving Jeep , due to safety concerns for parents and family requested action: I ask NHTSA to investigate Jeep’s failure to provide timely remedies for these recalls and to ensure fca us complies with federal safety obligations. I also request that NHTSA track and escalate this issue given the urgent fire risk and potential for catastrophic engine failure Jeep currently at dealership (Nov 17, 2025)for recalls 68c/78c , plus Jeep dying while driving and jolting and taking off and exerting forward down the road. Previous repairs last year 2024 for engine light remaining on which dealership replaced charging module , then engine element , Jeep heated up garage for high temperature while charging and extremely hot to touch , these previous issues could all be related to these 2 recalls , so very concerned about my safety . Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
I am filing a complaint with regards to the current recalls on the 2024 Wrangler 4xe. My concerns are not only is this not a safe vehicle to be driving it is a lease, a lease that will devalue the car. Chrysler Jeep offered me a rental reimbursement which I can not afford due to the timeline they have given me. January for battery and “second quarter of next year” this could cost me over $7,200 (up to $60 a day with a wait time of 6 months to wait for a repair) along with my monthly lease payment and insurance I have to pay on car that I feel unsafe driving I can not afford to pay upfront for a rental. Not sure if this is a breach of contract on their end. To ask someone who needs car for work to drive a vehicle that could catch fire or loose power while driving is unacceptable. There is also an artilcle on wtol. Com stating there is a do not drive issued for this particular model published 11/18/25 I want some sort of resolution ASAP. As of now I am not driving car. Was also told by stellantis they would tow my car and give me a loaner. They disconnected my call never noted it in my file and when I called back they had no idea who told me that.
The ecu/pcu has developed a failure to control the idle air intake valve due to an unrepairable defect on the computer. It can shut the engine down without warning while running, especially when approaching stops. It requires the operator to try to control the issue using the accelerator pedal to override it and prevent the engine from cutting out. It can happen without warning, and DE[pending on the skill level of the driver, an accident can easily result. Plus there are no repair parts for the ecu/pcu in the parts system, resulting in an unsafe and unmaintainable vehicle on the highways. The ecu /pcu was used one year only, so the Chrysler engineers knew they had a defect. No older Jeep used this particular unit and no younger ones used it either!.

The vehicle is subject to three critical safety recalls with no available remedy: 25v-741 (high-voltage battery fire), 25v-766 (engine sand contamination/fire), and 25v-710 (software loss of power). Following manufacturer instructions, I have been forced to park the vehicle outdoors away from structures due to fire risk and refrain from charging. For recall 25v-766, a 'do not drive' advisory has been issued due to the risk of catastrophic engine failure or compartment fire. The vehicle is currently inoperable and unusable as a hybrid. I have presented the vehicle to an authorized dealer, who confirmed that no parts or repairs exist. I have suffered a total loss of use for 42 days. This is a severe fire and crash risk with no timeline for repair.
My 2024 Jeep Wrangler rubicon 4xe has two open safety recalls affecting the high-voltage battery and related electrical systems. The manufacturer’s instructions require that I: • park the vehicle outdoors only, • avoid parking near structures or other vehicles, and • not charge the high-voltage battery. These restrictions make normal use of the vehicle unsafe and impractical. I cannot reliably find isolated outdoor parking at home, work, or public locations. I also cannot use the electric/hybrid portion of the vehicle at all because charging is prohibited. This creates ongoing safety concerns related to potential fire risk and places limitations that prevent normal daily operation. The dealership has confirmed that both recalls are active and that no remedy is available. Stellantis/Jeep customer care has also confirmed that there is no repair timeline and instructed me to follow the safety restrictions. Because the vehicle cannot be repaired and the manufacturer offers no solution, I am left with a vehicle that cannot be safely charged, parked, or used in many routine situations. No dashboard warning lights appeared before I received the recall notices; the recall instructions themselves constitute the warning. The vehicle remains in my possession and is available for inspection. I am filing this complaint because the unresolved safety defects, the lack of an available remedy, and the restrictions placed on parking and charging create a significant and ongoing safety risk for myself and others. I am requesting NHTSA’s review due to the manufacturer’s inability to provide a safe, usable, and repairable vehicle.
I purchased (traded into) a 2021 Jeep Wrangler on October 31, 2024. The vehicle already had an open safety recall (68c) at the time of purchase. Shortly after, the vehicle began experiencing severe and dangerous safety failures. While driving, the Jeep suddenly goes into “turtle mode,” loses power without warning, and drops to 7–12 mph in traffic. The engine light comes on and the vehicle becomes almost undrivable. This creates an extremely hazardous situation where I could be rear-ended or left stranded on the road. This is a serious safety risk to me and to other drivers. I contacted Jeep/stellantis recall customer care to report the issue. Only after calling did I receive an email telling me I must pay out of pocket for a rental vehicle, even though the vehicle is unsafe and the recall remedy is not available. I immediately responded saying I cannot pay upfront. Since November 25, Jeep/stellantis has ignored my messages completely. The vehicle remains unsafe, undrivable, and under a recall with no available parts. Jeep has refused to provide a direct-billed rental or any safe alternative transportation. I have been left without a usable vehicle while the manufacturer fails to communicate or offer assistance. This is a major safety defect, and the lack of manufacturer response puts me in danger. If this vehicle loses power in traffic again, it could cause an accident. I am requesting NHTSA intervention because Jeep/stellantis is not addressing this safety issue, not providing a remedy, and not honoring their recall responsibilities. Symptoms: •sudden power loss •turtle mode activation •speed dropping to 7–12 mph unexpectedly •engine warning light on •vehicle unsafe to operate manufacturer failure: •recall 68c remedy unavailable •denied direct-billed rental •required me to pay upfront for rental •no response to my communication since Nov 25 •left me without transportation.
My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has multiple open safety recalls with no remedy available. These recalls include fire risk when parked, battery fire risk, loss of propulsion at highway speed, and engine failure due to contamination. The manufacturer warns owners to park away from buildings and avoid charging, which means the vehicle is unsafe to drive or store. We contacted stellantis and were told no fix exists. This is a serious safety hazard to my family and others. I have already opened a case with stellantis (case number #94748033) and was told there is currently no repair available.
My vehicle has two fire-risk recalls with no remedy. It may catch fire while parked or driving. I cannot safely store or use it, and the manufacturer cannot repair it. I need NHTSA assistance to force action.
I own a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe rubicon with approximately 23,000 miles. I recently received notice of recall 68c (high-voltage battery fire risk). Jeep’s instructions say not to charge the vehicle and to park it outdoors, away from structures, because of potential fire risk. The manufacturer has stated that no repair will be available until at least March 2026, leaving owners unable to safely use or charge their vehicles for months. This recall follows multiple previous recalls and investigations involving fire risk or electrical system failures on the Wrangler 4xe, including earlier campaigns related to the hybrid battery and software updates. The repeated safety issues raise concerns about the overall safety and reliability of this model. My vehicle is otherwise in excellent condition, but I can no longer use it as intended as a plug-in hybrid or safely park it in my garage. Jeep has not offered a timely fix, loaner vehicle, or buyback. I am reporting this because the ongoing risk of fire, coupled with repeated recalls and long repair delays, represents a serious safety hazard that deserves immediate NHTSA attention.
Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe safety recall ids: 78c and 68c issue: no available remedy for serious safety defects. Summary: my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has two active safety recalls. Recall 78c involves engine casting contamination leading to fire risk and sudden loss of propulsion. Recall 68c involves a hybrid electrical defect that can cause propulsion shutdown. There are no repairs available. I am concerned about sudden loss of power while driving, especially at highway speeds or when transporting my young children. Stellantis has not responded to my requests for assistance. The vehicle does not feel safe to drive.
I am the owner of a 2024 Jeep Wrangler rubicon x 4xe (jl phev). The vehicle is subject to safety recall 25v?741 (manufacturer recall 68c) for high?voltage battery fire risk, and also recall 78c affecting the 2. 0l engine. For recall 68c, Jeep and NHTSA instruct owners not to charge the vehicle and to park it outside and away from structures and other vehicles because the high?voltage battery could fail internally and start a fire, even when parked. This means I cannot safely park in my garage or charge at home. I have a [xxx] infant in the home, so any increased fire risk near the residence is especially concerning. Jeep has not yet provided a final remedy or a clear timeline for a fix for 68c, so this situation is indefinite. In practice, the vehicle now operates as a less?efficient gas?only vehicle, with reduced usable range, higher fuel costs, and loss of the plug?in electric function I paid for. I am also instructed to leave a potentially defective high?voltage battery pack on my property and outdoors, which feels unsafe for my family. In addition, recall 78c raises concerns about potential engine defects and possible fire risk or major engine damage, further impacting the safety and reliability of this vehicle. My dealer and the manufacturer have confirmed the recalls but so far have not provided a loaner, buy?back, or other adequate remedy, despite the “park outside / do not charge” safety instructions and the presence of an infant in the home. I am requesting that NHTSA closely review these recalls, the lack of an available remedy, and the real?world safety and hardship impact on owners who cannot safely park or charge their vehicles as originally intended. On top of this, I put about $10,000 down on the lease expecting to purchase the vehicle as a long?term phev. That down payment now feels like a sunk cost into a product that cannot be safely used as advertised, and the situation is starting to resemble a potential lemon?law case. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia.
My Jeep 4xe is currently under 2 urgent fire recalls. 68c for the battery and 78c for the potential sand in the engine during production. There is currently no remedy available for either recall and the manufacturer is refusing to replace the parts or remedy the problem. Jeep is saying to take it to the dealership and the dealership is saying there is no test they can run and is pointing back at Jeep because Jeep hasn't given them a fix. I do have videos of the engine running extremely loud and clicking and instances where the cooling fan won't shut off for hours. I have not been parking in my garage and not charging the vehicle to reduce the risk as much as possible. I have had two instances where the propulsion suddenly stopped while driving, which is one of the warnings of the 78c recall. This is a safety risk for myself and my two young children who are in the car daily due to necessity, and Jeep is not offering any solutions to the problem at hand and my safety concerns.
Engine jerks upon acceleration on battery power, feels like a heavy lurch when driving a manual car. It would then refuse to accelerate for a few seconds before being able to drive normally. Attempted to get service at local Jeep dealership who refuses all service on the basis of the current recalls and the Jeep 4xe being a fire hazard while parked. Attempted to resolve this with Jeep directly who promised a buyback of the vehicle because of the 2 open safety recalls being huge safety issues, which they are now refusing.
Unknown ; I believe that my Jeep Wrangler 4xe in connection with recall : a7c/NHTSA 25v-710 created this safety hazard. Around the end of October / beginning of November my Jeep performed a software update like it does from time to time and within a few days the vehicle shut off completely without any prior warning. I was driving to work, luckily on a side street going 20 miles an hour pulling away from a stop sign and the vehicle just straight up dies. Lights, engine, electronics, power steering, everything was unresponsive. I managed to pull off of the roadway and had to attempt multiple times to restart the vehicle. After a minute or so of being in park, it started right up and kept driving. A few days later after limited use of the vehicle, there was a software update again and I assumed it was for that and kept using the vehicle. This experience put my life in danger as well as others. Should circumstances of my travel been different and this would have occurred on a freeway, the outcome could have been tragic for myself and others on the roadway. This experience together with the other 2 severe safety recalls with no remedy, have led me to feel so uncomfortable even having the vehicle in my possession due to a recommendation from fca, mopar, and the nhsta to (a. Not charge the vehicle to lower the chance of a tragic lithium ion battery fire that can occur during normal operation creating a hazard for all occupants including minor children, but also during the vehicle being parked. Leading to (b. A recommendation to not park the vehicle close to structures or other vehicles. Which in my situation is impossible at home and at work. And (c. The risk of the engine being contaminated with sand from the casting process which can lead to catastrophic engine failure, which can start a vehicle fire or cause an accident without prior warning. I will be dropping my Jeep off at a dealer until a fix is in play. No remedies available for either 3 major recalls.
The vehicle is subject to safety recall 68c involving the high-voltage battery. The manufacturer instructs owners to stop charging the vehicle and to park it outdoors, away from structures or other vehicles, due to a potential internal battery defect that may cause thermal runaway, fire, or sudden loss of propulsion. The manufacturer has stated that parts are not available and provided no timeline for repair. It is not possible to comply with the requirement to park the vehicle away from structures because the residential community where the vehicle is located prohibits street parking and does not allow parking off the driveway. As a result, there is no safe or legal way to store the vehicle that satisfies the recall instructions. This creates an ongoing fire risk to nearby structures and poses a significant safety concern for the owner, neighboring homes, and the community. The recall has effectively made the vehicle unusable, unchargeable, and unsafe to store, with no remedy currently available. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue, as the vehicle cannot be operated or parked in accordance with the recall guidance and no remedy exists at this time.
Unable to charge the phev due to a fire hazard, thus substantially impairing its use and value.
My local dealer has all the documentation on this Jeep. It has been into the dealership many times now the check engine light is on for another problem which I am taking it in again this weekend . When I ask the dealer, I’ve been seeing things on facebook about these Jeeps having issues they just filled me full of a bunch of bull and says every vehicle has issues. I’ve ran the VIN number and found out that mine is one of them that just catches on fire plus sometimes shakes when it’s driving down the road but that’s been minor considering everything else. One time I was driving up the driveway and it felt like the transmission slipped or something. They said it was something in the four-wheel-drive that went out. This is a new vehicle. It has very low miles on it. I’ve had it going on maybe the fourth year now it’s only got 31,000 miles on it I don’t drive it very far. It’s been in the shop several times for recalls or things that’s happened to it. When I first got it, it left me stranded would not start. I’d only had it a few days. It has been a lemon from start to finish. I am terrified to drive it and I don’t have another vehicle. I paid $55,000 for this Jeep just a few years ago. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do. I desperately need help if the manufacturer is refunding people’s monies I want to make sure that I get enough money to buy another vehicle because this one is only a few years old and it’s been in the shop numerous amount of times. The other day it shimmied a little bit on the highway and I thought it was the road and now I’m reading that there’s problems with that also, it’s clearly a lemon. But as I said, I’m scared to death to drive it now. The newest development as I’ve said is now the check engine light is on. It’s only been out of the shop for maybe three weeks since they fixed something in the four-wheel-drive which I’ve never even used. I love the looks of this Jeep, but it’s not dependable so I need help.
This vehicle had multiple issues as a 1 year old vehicle. Shaking in the front end on the highway, leading to replacing front sway bar and dampeners. Now multiple fire hazard recalls for the battery and for engine while driving, charging, and just being parked. The vehicle has shut off while driving placing my life and others at risk in the road. No warning lights prior to any of these issues.
A 2nd recall has been issued for the hybrid battery system and once again Jeep has no remedy available. My safety is at risk to due to the possibility of a car fire. I am also unable to use the car as intended due to safety concerns. Jeep needs to be held accountable for selling a very expensive vehicle that not only does not work properly but could catch on fire. It is unacceptable for owners to be left in limbo due to the negligence shown by Jeep. If they cannot sell a car that operates safely then they should be made to reimburse the owners.
We are scared to drive our vehicle and we have grandkids who ride with us . I would like the dealership to allow us to trade this in without any hassle. Urgent: fire risk when parked an urgent safety recall has been issued for this vehicle and the manufacturer has recommended that you follow their instructions on how and where to park this vehicle. More information is available under NHTSA recall number 25v741000. Oct 30,2025 manufacturer recall number68c NHTSA recall number25v-741 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available summary in rare circumstances, a battery pack may contain cells with separator damage. Separator damage, combined with other complex interactions within the cells, may lead to a vehicle fire. Safety risk a vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside the vehicle. Vehicle risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted. Accordingly, owners are advised to refrain from recharging. Out of an abundance of caution, fca us is also advising owners of these vehicles to park away from structures or other vehicles until the remedy is obtained.
My 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN 1c4rjxp63sw595577) is included in NHTSA recall 25v-741 (fca 68c) for a high-voltage battery defect that can cause a fire while parked. Jeep instructed owners not to recharge the vehicle and to park outside, away from structures, because the defect may lead to thermal events even when the vehicle is off. As of today, the manufacturer states the remedy is “not yet available. ” this means the vehicle cannot be charged, stored in a garage, or used normally. I am a lessee still making payments on a vehicle that cannot be safely used. The lack of a remedy puts property and personal safety at risk. I am requesting NHTSA oversight to ensure fca/stellantis provides immediate relief such as a loaner vehicle or repurchase for owners and lessees affected by this recall.
The vehicle exhibits a persistent valvetrain ticking noise associated with the rocker/lifter/cam components of the 3. 6l pentastar v6. The engine makes a rhythmic metallic tapping at idle and during acceleration. The noise has progressively worsened, leading to rough idle and occasional misfires. This issue is documented in multiple stellantis technical service bulletins (e. G. , TSB 09-015-24 and TSB 09-011-25) which attribute the noise to hydraulic lash adjuster and cam/rocker wear. If unaddressed, the failure can cause camshaft damage, metal debris contamination, loss of power and potential engine stall, posing a safety risk. The vehicle is available for inspection. The problem has been confirmed by independent mechanics who recommend replacement of the rocker arms, lifters and camshaft to prevent catastrophic engine failure.
