2 Catalytic Convertor problem of the 2003 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 12/09/2003

Sulfur odor coming from car. I contacted the dealership within the first few months of ownership and they said it was because of the gasoline being used and it would eventually go away. Well, now there is 26,000 miles on the vehicle and the smell is still evident, if not even worse.

3 Catalytic Convertor problem of the 2003 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 10/27/2003

Rotten egg smell from exaust. Dealer showed me Mazda's service bulliten which states it comes from higher sulfer gas, and will dissipate by 10,000 miles. Now have almost 8,000 miles with no lessening of smell regardless of gas used. (slight improvement with amoco) someone inky had newer catlysts installed by Mazda with good results. This should be done across the board for anyone with this problem.
