I bought my 2017 Mazda 6 brand new. While the car was in warranty in January 2020 while I was driving with 50 miles in hour, the engine was running rough, the engine light was on and the engine stall. The car was towed by Mazda at dealer. They replaced the fuel pump at that time. Few days ago while I was driving with 35 miles in hour the car did the same thing. Mazda towed the car to another dealer. After diagnosis they told me that is nothing wrong with the car and the car is not under the warranty anymoore . I told them that the engine light was on and something must be wrong. They didn't respond. The car has 24,000 miles and I am afraid to drive it anymore.

Transmission roughly jerks itself into 2nd-3rd gear. When the car has come to a stop and is then accelerated, engine stalls for a few seconds, then slams itself into 2nd or 3rd gear. This poses as a rear-end threat, as the car is forcefully put into gear, causing the car to jerk forward suddenly. For me this only occurs at lower speeds (10-30 mph). I have researched this problem and many others have come across the same thing.

2007 Mazda6 wagon with 1900 miles engine stalled while driving in gear and under load at approximately 3500 rpms, roughly one minute after startup. Gas tank was 3/4 full, weather was about 80f, 80% rh. With engine stopped car was brought to a stop with brakes, transmission put in park, and engine restarted immediately by switching ignition to engage starter motor.
