The tread on tires also wore prematurely. Consumer also stated the brake rotors on front and rear of vehicle are prematurely wearing.

Failure Date: 02/15/1999

While driving braking system malfunctioned. Brake pedal went to the floor, vehicle had no braking ability, and driver had to use the emergency parking brake in order to stop the vehicle. Dealer replaced the right wheel, left middle plunger on the wheel cylinder which broke for no apparent reason. Dealer said this was the first time they had ever seen this defect.

Failure Date: 10/23/1998

Brakes: pads, rotors, caliphers were warping and failing to operate properly. There was no brake application or stopping ability. They were not grabbing and was missing. Will be taking to dealer to have them check.

6 Brake Foundation Components problem of the 1996 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 05/25/1998

The brake problem was diagnose as failure of the hydraulic piston located in brake calipers that enagages the brake to disengage and caused the pads to wear out to the metal damaging the disk brake. The dealer did all repairs under warranty.
