The manufacturer's assembly located in the steering column, refered to as the "clockspring" is defective- causing the following problems: (1) a false airbag warning lamp, (2) un-commanded windshield wiper operation, and (3) intermittant operation (on/off) of the cruise control system. Horn failure is also a known symptom of a defective "clockspring". I believe all of the above symptoms can be classified as a safety issue and it should be the responsibility of the manufacture (chysler corporation) to replace the defective component at their cost.
