Takata recall. I haven't received notification to replace my takata airbags but all other makes and models of cars and trucks have received their recalls. I want my takata airbags replaced.

I was hit on driver side door. . High speed impact. . Fire dept needed to use jaws of life to get me out. . I was unconscious and taken to trauma. . No airbags deployed. . Hits were also noted to front panel and rear. . Car was totaled.
My 2007 Saturn Vue all the time since I purchased it the passenger side deployment bag light will not work, unless I turn on the passenger heat , and the seat does not heat up, and I am still not sure it will work because it is an electrical problem, also my electric windows won't work on several occasions, and the ignition shift the key sticks and steering column locks when this happens, and it won't release the key. Dealer won't deal with it, wonder if there has been any other complaints because I do not feel safe especially when I have passengers, it cannot be trusted, not sure of any recalls, but it definitely needs to be looked into and fixed before anyone could get hurt.

The contact owns a 2003 Saturn Vue. While driving 15 mph, the horn engaged without warning. The contact stated she removed the fuses for the horn however, the failure continued to occur. The dealer stated that the airbag padding caused the failure. As of April 29, 2008, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. The failure mileage was 38,000.

In 8/06 we purchased a 2002 Saturn Vue from a Saturn dealer for our 16-year old daughter. Today, she was involved in a 55 mph rollover and flipped her car end-over-end 5 times. My concern is that there was no airbag deployment. We were shown a carfax and time of purchase. However, today's accident leads me to believe that (a) airbags were faulty (b) airbags had deployed in a prior accident and were not re-built (c) airbags had been disconnected or tampered with sometime prior. Please advise as to what action, if any, should be taken.

The contact owns a 2004 Saturn Vue. On June 27, 2007, while driving approximately 60 to 70 mph, the gear cable failed. The contact called 911 and the dispatcher instructed her on how to stop the vehicle before a crash occurred. The vehicle has had many failures since it was purchased and was previously repaired under a recall for the suspension. One week ago, the horn sounded on its own at 2 am. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they found a defect in the horn and air bags. The recall number was unknown. The current and failure mileages were 37,000.

I have less than 12,000 miles on this car and it has repeatedly been in the shop. The entire transmission has been replaced, all electrical suddenly dies, the hybrid has stopped working several times. The airbags have had to be fixed. There is a constant problem.
Electrical problems started at 25k miles and continues through today may 5, 2014 doors unlocking while driving . Both passenger and driver airbags lights go on and off at will. All panel lights would go out. I have replaced parking, backup and head lights 4 times in this vehicle. Tag light keeps blowing, and I have replaced 4 times in 2 months I just replaced them sat may 2 and one is out now. I have to replace fuses every month for various things repeatedly the front or roof interior lights are on every morning and they are not in the on position. The speakers fade in and out I feel like I got a lemon with this vehicle year and I have spent so much money paying for dealers to trace the electrical but they always claim they cannot locate any problems. I never had a problem with the other 3 Saturn's I purchased. Ugh!.

Saturn Vue horn failure due to poor engineering design. Dealer advised that airbag, horn, and horn relay has to be replaced. However, the horn relay is the same relay part number as the rear window wiper - trading out the relays did not cause the rear window washer to stop working, therefore the problem is not in the horn relay. The dealer disconnected some of the systems, including the flasher, to disconnect the horn when it would have been easier to unplug the horn at the horn rather than under the dash. The dealer advised that this is a design failure but wants ~$800 to replace the airbag, horn, and relay. This is not an uncommon problem based on the other complaints listed. I purchased a Saturn strictly because of service dependability --- and apparently that is not sufficient reason to remain with Saturn now that gm has taken over.
(1) air bags-I was involved in a multiple-vehicle accident caused by black ice in Dec, 2005 and not one of the airbags deployed. This was concerning. (2) brakes-from day one, when it rains, my brakes sound like an old person trying to move. (3) ignition-too many times to mention. When I would put the key in the ignition and try to start the car, it wouldn't move and I'd have to jolt the "frozen" steering wheel to finally get the key to turn/car to start. (4) I've seen both the brakes & ignition issues in other people's posts. Just wanted to put this out there for information's sake. Otherwise, the car's been great to me. 10 years old, only 47k miles on it and I just recently had to replace the battery for the first time ever.

Today is 02/02/05. A few weeks ago, the horn on my '03 Saturn Vue became stuck. The only remedy was to pull the fuse. Yesterday, the Vue was at the dealer (to have work done on the rear suspension per recall notice). I had the dealer check out the horn. They stated that the diagnostic computer gave the code that the "airbag needed to be replaced". The Vue has just 49,000 miles on it and is only 2 years old. The cost will be $810. 00. Ever since I have owned the vehicle, the horn was difficult to activate. I conducted an internet search and found that many other Saturn owners had this same problem. (while the dealer had the car today, they re-installed the fuse and the horn was fine. I picked the vehicle up at 6 pm. All was well until 1:30 am this morning, when the horn went off all by itself. And again the only remedy was to pull the fuse).
My fiance and I both purchased a 2002 Saturn Vue. During the course of normal driving she used her horn in alerting other drivers and the horn failed to stop sounding. The only remedy was to pull over and remove the fuse to stop the horn from sounding. This occurred three times during her ownership of the vehicle and each time the defective part was replaced the problem would return shortly after. After much inquiry we finally had a manager admit to us there was a product redesign to fix the problem with it shorting out which also affected the air bag functionality as well. Both safety issues. Now during the course of normal driving my vehicle, also a Saturn Vue of the same year, has suffered the same failure. Although this is my first such incident with the problem, I suspect this is not an isolated case. I was told that the part would cost roughly $1000 to replace when we had to replace hers three times! I am now finding myself in the same situation where I honked the horn and it refused to turn off until I pulled the fuse. I assume they will also try to charge me $1000 for it's repair.
I was driving my vehicle and all of a sudden the horn blew constantly. I pressed the area where the horn is to try to shut it off, to no avail. I had to pull over to the side of the highway, open the hood, pull off the fuse cover, find the fuse and pull it out, which finally stopped the horn from blairing. I brought it to the dealership, they said the whole air bag module had to be replaced at a cost of approx. $860. 00. I called Saturn headquarters, and told them about the situation. And the cost. They called the dealership and said they would split the cost. I am still not satisfied, I think it should be replaced at no cost to me. This is a 2 year old vehicle and for the horn to malfunction because the air bag is pressing on it, is ridiculous. Safety wise, the horn just started blowing and not turning off, scared the hell out of me, trying to find out what was happening and finding a safe place to pull over, I could of injured myself and others when this happened. When I do get it replaced, because I still do not have a horn, whose to say it won't happen again with the next air bag,(poor design) !.
Dirt supposedly got in my steering wheel case and has damaged a coil, now my horn barely works and my air bag is at risk. Saturn will not repair without a cost of $378. 00 and the car is 2yrs old only this month. I drive the car back and forth to work with the air on. . And dust in the case puts my life in danger without the possibiity of an airbag.
As I was driving on the highway, my vehicle drifted onto the grassy shoulder. Without hitting my brakes, I steered back onto the road. The rear end of my vehicle fish-tailed slightly. As this was happening, the driver's back wheel bent underneath the vehicle causing it to roll over, passenger side first, onto the side of the highway. During the roll-over, none of my airbags deployed, both driver- side tires blew, both axles bent, the tops of the passenger-side doors crumpled, the passenger-side windows shattered, and the roof crumpled like a crushed aluminum can. I received numerous injuries, including neck/back/shoulder strains, broken ribs and damage to my right knee and ankle.
In extreme cold weather, the air bag trouble light stays illuminated after vehicle is started.
Airbag failure in a 2003 Saturn Vue with severe front end damage. Luck prevented severe injury, while a vital safety feature failed. We are enraged by the fact that we bought a vehicle that professed safety, but did not perform when needed. We loved the vehicle to this point.
Due to the horn design, on the steering wheel airbag, at night it is almost impossible to activate the horn.
