The wheels are making a squeaking noise while driving; replaced brakes, rotors, had tires rotated, balanced and new alignment done with no help 2. Brakes go to floor while braking. . This just started 3. Back windshield wiper makes a loud noise and doesn't work. . . Ever! 4. Seat control gets stuck and won't move 5. No reverse light(s) and cannot figure out issue 6. Final and biggest issue is that all the lights (including headlights) flicker both while driving and idling) I have had the alternator tested and replaced as well as the battery. . Still happening I bought this truck December 8, 2007 used from a local dealer. I purchased a small warranty but one that won't cover anything mentioned above. If there are any recalls will someone please contact me!. The failure date was 02/17/08.

The vehicle is a 2005 Dodge ram3500 quadcab 4x4 lwb. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is 3D3MU48C14_. Back up lights would only work when shifter held in reverse. Eventually back up lights became inoperable. Diagnosed by mechanic as switch failure. Not replaced yet. The failure date was Aug. 16, 2005.

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 6 speed manual transmission. The sensor in my manual transmission that turns on my reverse lights failed. I replaced my sensor and the problem was solved. I am concerned because not only can I not see when backing up, other drivers are not alerted to my vehicle moving in reverse which could be dangerous to myself and others. There seem to be quite a few of these failures because the part was on backorder from the manufacturer. This back up light switch issue occurred Wednesday, August 4, 2004.

The light bulb and fuses of the rear turn signals and brake lights melted together making it impossible to replace the lightbulbs, thus the entire tail light had to be replaced because when it was finally able to come out the plastic on the light was broken. It was Tue., Apr. 6, 2004 when this back up light switch issue occurred.

The car was a 1997 Ford Explorer. Consumer is the original owner of the vehicle and stated has had to replace multi-function switch 3 times in 5 years. Switch controls functions of head lights, wipers, high/low beams, etc. The most recent failure occurred while driving. The consumer noticed smoke emitting from switch and steering column that filled up the entire cabin. Had to pull over to avoid a collision. This back up light switch issue occurred 11/26/2002.

Regarding recall 07v063000. I own a 2003 Volkswagen Passat that had the exact same problem with the brake light switch. The brake lights came on and stayed on all day. I had no idea there was a problem. I parked the car, and the brake lights stayed on all night and drained the battery. The dealership refused to honor the recall, staying vehicle was excluded from the recall due to the VIN. I had to pay the repair costs out of pocket and Volkswagen corporate refused to reimburse me. It was Tuesday, January 23, 2007 when this back up light switch issue occurred.
