Tire Tube problem is a common vehicle problem that happens to most car brands and models. The following is a sample list of Tire Tube problems reported in most popular vehicles.
The vehicle is a 2000 Chevrolet Suburban. As I was driving, I hear a noise coming from outside and could feel roughness in the ride and the steering. I pulled over within 30 seconds to find that my tire was 80 % flat. Upon replacing the tire I saw that there was no evidence of puncture or nails to the tire. A few minutes later after I had put my spare tire on, I stopped and inflated the flat tire to see where the damage might be. After inflating to about 10 psi I stopped because I noticed that the sidewall near the outside edge(near tread) had a very soft spot that I could have probably pushed my finger through. It was almost as soft and thin as a inner tube. Then I also noticed several lumps about 1 to1 1/2 inches in diameter almost all the way around the tire casing near the outer edge. This was all on the white letter side of the tire. I briefly look at the back side but did not notice anything. All the time I never heard an air leak, although an hour later it was flat again. As I stated earlier I only put appx. 10 psi. When I saw the knots appear I stoped in fear of the casing rupturing. It definitley appears to be an internal problem such as belt or ply separation. Before I contact Chevrolet or firestone I wanted to bring this to your attention since I think this might be related to the current problem the the other recalled tires and did not want the evidence(my tire) possibly lost or destroyed with you having a chance to see it if you wish. Non the less I now need a spare, so I have to do something soon. I will keep the defect though. I really do not want to put another firestone on my truck. Until today I thought the problem was only on the 235 tire. Me and my family need your help to assure us that my firestones are safe or should I be looking for another tire. Please advise soon as possible. Thanks george( dot number: v672wli070 tire size: 265/70r16 ). It was Sunday, Sep. 17, 2000 when this tire tube issue occurred.

The car involved was a 2010 Chrysler town and country. This had happened several times since we bought this from the dealer. I would be driving and have no control over the van , I had to come to a stop and put it in park and then start it up again. Very dangerous. My second complaint is a tire went flat less then a year of having the vehicle. I was told by the tire repair mechanic that there was a plug and these are 2008 tires and 2007 rims and that tube where the air goes in was brass and it should not be. He seemed to think they gave us used tire and rims on our vehicle. He said he has seen this where a dealer puts the newer rims and tires on another vechicle to sell it and us unsuspecting customers did not know they had been replaced. This tire tube issue occurred February 1, 2012.

Vehicle identification number (VIN): 3FAHP0JA7A_. 2010 Ford Fusion sel. Customer writes in regards to continued transmission problems. The consumer stated the transmission would slip harshly and hesitate on acceleration. The recall repair did not correct the transmission problems. It was determined that the valve body and solenoid body were defective. Also, one of the tires was leaking air, there was an issue with the traction and brakes. There were noises coming from the front of the vehicle. The steering wheel would not lock into place, the cd player did not work at times, the driver side visor did not stay in place, the gas over flow tube was inoperative, the vehicle would pull hard when the brake was applied. The rear driver's side door had to be slammed extremely hard, in order to close it. The driver's side seat belt was backwards. The passenger side windshield wiper dragged on the windshield and the vehicle would sometimes surge on its own. Each time the consumer went to the dealer about certain problems, she was told no problems were found. This issue happened on 01/10/10.

The vehicle having this issue was a 1996 Ford Taurus. The vehicle identification number (VIN) of the car was 1FALP52U7T_. On 6/13/2006 I purchased a set of four new p205-65r-15 wynstar tires from a local tire store and had them installed. In less than 3 months, the right rear tire blew out with less than 3000 miles on it. The vehicle was traveling at 35-40 mph, in the rain. The temperature was in the upper 50's f. I put the spare on and returned the tire to the retailer on 9/5/06 for warranty. The tire was replaced with a new one of the same brand. On 5-23-2007 the right rear tire went flat again, brought it back to the retailer for repair, they tried to patch it, but it did not work, so they put a tube in it. A tube should not be necessary in a new tire. It is compensating for some type of manufacturing defect. Now on 7-5-2007, another tire is flat, there is obviously something wrong with these tires. I have owned this vehicle for several years, the previous tires were 5 years old, with 70,000 miles and never were off of the rim for repair. I have another vehicle that is driven to the same places as this vehicle, (different brand of tires) and it does not experience any tire failures. Both vehicles are parked in the same driveway. The retailer is of no help, he says there is nothing wrong with these tires. The facts seem to tell a different story. It was 09/03/2006 when this tire tube issue happened.

The car was a 2002 Infiniti Q45. Right rear tire suddenly began to lose pressure, as much as 5 psi in one mile of freeway driving. I kept stopping to air up tire, confirming low pressure with accurate bourdon tube-type gauge. After four stops to air up, problem quit. When I reached destination city, set up service appt. With local Infiniti dealer. After four days of a long weekend, including slow-speed and freeway driving of over 200 miles, pressure loss had quit. Cancelled dealer appointment. Three months later, problem occurred again. Had tire checked at ntb, no leaks found. Tire dismounted, checked on inside, no defects or punctures or blisters found, wheel in good shape, tire remounted. One month later, problem occurred again, this time losing 10 psi in two miles of freeway driving. Aired up. Lost 5 psi. Changed to spare. Dealer mounted new tire. Pressure dropped two days later. Dealer installed new wheel (couldn't exactly match existing color--great on a $60k car. ) and remote pressure sensor. Problem cured. Cost: new tire--$350, tossed tire with 30k left on it (suspected of being cause)--$350, new take-off wheel--$800, new sensor--$260. Total cost, including mechanic and trashed good tire--$2,000. No diagnosis ever offered. This tire tube issue occurred Dec. 18, 2007.

I own a 2006 Jeep Wrangler x with 9,060 miles. I have goodyear GS-a tires. I am replacing my second tire on the Jeep in less than two years. This tire has a "sidewall failure" and must be replaced. I also have owned a 2001 Jeep Wrangler. I put 24,000 miles on that car but had to replace 3 goodyear tires similar to the GS-a's. The latest incident involving my Jeep and goodyear tires transpired two days ago. I noticed the tire was losing air before I got behind the wheel. Considering I was about to drive on a highway, it may have been recipe for disaster. I put air back into the tire and was able to drive to a sears automotive center. The mechanics informed me that the tire had a "sidewall failure" and was unfixable. Sears did state that the tires had little to no wear on them and were "like new". I contacted goodyear pertaining to the issues. The customer service representative was not entirely helpful. I gave my history with the goodyear tires and the Jeep Wrangler to goodyear. I was told to seek a second opinion by goodyear. I had another goodyear retailer look at the tire with the same result. I contacted goodyear again. Goodyear was quite unhelpful and I felt "blown off". I sincerely have a concern that every time I get in my Jeep one of my tires may become damaged. Jeep Wranglers are an SUV, so the chances of rollover are higher. The first tire that went on my current 2006 Jeep Wrangler almost cased me to spin out in the middle of a busy intersection. That incident transpired in September of 2006. I am hoping that this complaint will inspire some sort of investigation into the product, goodyear did not seem interested in doing so. Everywhere you look there are Jeep Wranglers on the road, many of them with these same goodyear GS-a tires. That is a large number of people potentially at risk, along with those who may be traveling at the same time. Thank you for your time, I honestly hope this can be addressed and approached for the potentially serious manner that it is. This problem occurred on 11/06/07.

The car is a 2007 Nissan Versa. We were traveling on the interstate when we noticed the car started shaking then a loud pop was heard. Fortunately my daughter maintained control of the car and guided to the median safely. When we got out we saw that the tire had shredded away from the tube about half way around. . This tire tube issue occurred August 17, 2009.

The VIN of this Altima is 1N4BL21E27_. I own a 2007 Nissan Altima. I purchased this vehicle new in July 2007. I had to replace the tires @16,000 miles. I had problems with the tire pressure light on the dash always coming on for no apparent reason. The a/c compressor had to be replaced at approximately 37,000 mi. The second year I owned it, at a cost of $750. 00. Now, just after my third anniversary of ownership the rear sway bar has broken. In checking on the internet, I find that all these are common problems. However this sway bar problem is a danger for personal safety. The bar is made out of a hollow tube and it rusted into close to where the bar joins the frame. I have never had an accident, had the car towed or driven on anything but paved roads. It just broke for no apparent reason other than poor materials. Of course this is not covered either!!! I feel this should be a recall item and owners should be reimbursed for their expense. This issue happened on 08/17/10.
