I have been noticing some serious electrical issues in the last few weeks with my 2014 Silverado 1500. It started with the "anti-theft detterent" system acting up and not allowing me to start the car. After flipping the key a few times, it went away. Then the problem progressed to when turning the key it was if the battery was dead. Everything would go black (lights, info center, dic, etc). After a few minutes of sitting, I could turn the key and it would start up no problems. Then it all just went away for about 2 weeks. Then just a few days ago, I was turning into a shopping center and the truck just died. The dash, the lights, the engine, everything. I nearly took out the entrance sign of the parking lot. Hanging with my back end in traffic I quickly popped it neutral, restarted the truck, and pulled in. I couldn't recreate the problem. I drove to autozone and had them check the battery and alternator. Everything was fine. About an hour later, in the drive thru at chick fil a, I placed the car in park, received my food, and as soon as I shifted out of park the truck died again, along with the dash and everything else. Restarted and drove home. I spent about 30 mins driving around the block and sitting in the driveway trying to recreate the problem. I have yet to recreate.
While using a spare key to my 2015 silverado for the entire day, and driving over 70 miles, the "anti-theft" warning light suddenly came on. I continued to drive approx. 10 miles with the light on and while turning off a busy road, across on-coming traffic, the truck completely shut off. No steering, no forward movement, nothing. It virtually went dead! I was able to put the truck in park and try to start it again (thank goodness no traffic coming through at the time). After several attempts it started again and I began to drive around the corner to my home, where it completely shut off again, in front of my driveway. Had it towed, as I was nervous about driving it again. The chevy dealership service department was unable to conclude what happened. They tested it with the spare key, and still no sign of any trouble. I am reluctant to drive this truck.

I have had this issues happen numerous times. The first I was backing up into a parking spot and my service stabilitrak warning came on, and my steering wheel started jerking left and right on its own. 2nd time I was pulling into my parents drive way and warning came on while turning causing truck to jerk and I almost hit the corner of the house. A 3rd time happened again reversing but this time my headlights dimmed and I had multiple service warnings pop up. A 4th time I was again about to reverse. I was able to straighten up and while in reverse and foot on brake, I would turn steering wheel and it would jerk back to center on its own. I took video of that accurance. While driving on the highway yesterday night. I noticed my headlights kept going dim then bright. While in cruise control going 75mph I moved left to pass a vehicle, when I turned right signal on to come back to lane my cruise disengaged. This happend 5 times. Before one of the occurrences while in cruise I tapped the brake to slow down, and my volt gauge dropped to 10 or so and the headlights almlst shut off and all lights in cab flikered on and off. It almost felt like the truck was about to turn off but didn't. Last issue, a few times I have tried to start the truck and the anti theft deterant comes on and I have to try numeros times to get truck to start.
When air temperature is above 65 degrees the security light is displayed in the information center. Several weeks later the truck failed to start after repeated attempts. Fuel filter, spark plugs were replaced. Dealer informed me that the pass-lock security system malfunctioned, and thinks that I'm trying to steal the truck. Sensor, wiring harness and one other pertinent part were replaced to fix the problem. Several months later, problem recurred. Mileage at that point exceeded the warranty, leading to more money coming out of my own pocket. Several months passed and problem has once again become apparent.
