Noises During Shifting Problems of Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I am getting a lot of clunking in a transmission when it's up shifting and down shifting. On the road under 55 mph. Idle surges when it's switching gears. When it goes into v4 mode at any speed it starts to shudder and vibrate to the point and you can feel it in the gas pedal and steering wheel and a little bit in the seat. And now its making a rubbing noise.

My truck was shaking and shuddering, along with hard upshift and downshift while driving. It started to make a loud noise when accelerating from a stop and would sputter when on the highway. I took it to the dealer and they diagnosed the truck would need a new transmission.

When I opened doors the fuel pump turns on, while I'm driving it shifts and runs funny and you hear popping noises. The guages mess up and radio turns on and off. Like its being hacked.

From cold start and slowing down truck shifts erratically. Sometimes so violent when I try to accelerate from a stop the rpms rise. . Truck doesn't move right away. . Then its like something engages and it goes. . Making hard clunking noise. . Today my back tires actually peeled out and the rear end was hopping when it engaged. The issue is only when taking off. . Especially when first started up. . Yes I let it idle down 1st. . And when stopping it is a shuddering/jerking stop. . Sometimes it feels like ive been hit. When these events take place I have no control of truck as it is lurching forward in fast jerky manner.

Squeaking noise under box. Dealer took 2 months to get a replacement leaf shackle for left side. It did stop the noise. My transmission has a hard shift in gears when taking off and coming to a stop. Transmission seems to hang up shifting from low gear t a higher gear and does the same when coming to a stop. Seems to be getting worse. New truck, now has 21,000 miles but worst investment I have made switching from a foreign truck back to made in America. This hard shifting takes place when starting off or coming to a stop on any highway or street.

The truck has a hard time accelerating and randomly upshifts and downshifts. When coming to a stop it has a hard time downshifting which makes it hard to stop. When on the interstate in rush hour traffic it is very dangerous to drive because I have no idea if the truck will accelerate or not and since it has a hard time stopping I am afraid I am going to rear end someone. Another issue the truck has is with the four wheel drive. It works good but it makes a really loud grinding noise when engaged. I am taking it to the dealer today as I have before. I am hoping they take a serious look at it and fix the issues.

In may 2018 I purchased a new chevy silverado lt z71 pu. I live in colorado and when I drive the truck down the I-70 mountain pass the transmission is downshifted beyond what io would call a safe down shift. Im traveling down the pass, just coasting, down hill assist mode is off @ roughly 55 mph the transmission down shift hard. The rpm goes from ~1850 to ~3800 rpm. The engine and transmission and engine both make a lot of noise when this happens. I traveled the pass about 8 time now and the truck does this funny shift everytime and I have picture showing 4 events. I've taking the drive into the dealer and since the computer doesn't log a error code the dealer doesn't know what to do. This past week they gave another 2018 p/u with the same tranny and engine and that truck did not do the same downshift. I believe there is something wrong with my truck and also if this event happened in the winter on a snowy road the truck would spin out of control and cause a accident and is a huge safety concern. I also filed a complaint with gm but they are really not help to resolve this problem. The dealer looked at the truck again today, no codes recorded, the reset the transmission memory today to try and satisfy my need to do something. I now waiting to hear back from the dealer on the next steps. I will also call gm again to give them this information. I am attaching picture that clearly show this problem. I also given the dealer the same pictures.

I purchased vehicle use, with 384 miles. Vehicle transmission became very loud, whining, growling, making clunking noise when shifting; downshifting at times produced runaway shifting, clunking and slipping. Took it to one chev. Dealer and service writer said he had a chev p. U. Just like mine and it didn't make those noises. Went back again and dealer found a service bulletin that applied to my transmission. They ordered parts, installed them, but no change. Went back again and the service shop and they said there was nothing wrong with the transmission and there was nothing more they could do for my p. U. I went to another dealer and they said it needed front and rear planetary gears. Parts were ordered and installed, again no change. Went back to the dealer and they drove my p. U. The service manager said there was nothing wrong with my p. U. ! I spoke with a district specialist at g. M. And she said she would contact the dealership! it is now June 5, 2012 and I again called gm customer assistance and they said the woman who had my case no longer works in that department and they would assign another specialist. She/he would call me today, maybe tomorrow. I told them enough is enough and I wanted another vehicle!.

I was driving my 2002 chevy 4x4 pickup (46,000 miles) home when a loud clank noise occurred and then a high pitched grinding noise followed. My truck would not shift normally (2nd, 4th, and reverse were out). I was lucky to make it home as I drive on a highway through the national forest where cell phone coverage is very limited. I took my pickup into the dealership and they indicated the problem was with my sun shell in the transmission. It had apparently failed and would cost between $1300 and $2500 to get everything fixed depending on how extensive the damage. I bought the pickup new and its never been off-road, towed or hauled anything and only has 46,000 miles.
