Have notice a rough shift from 1-2gear or 2-1gear, specially when going up hill & I let my foot off the pedal. Huge bang like if the gears were or are slipping in the transmission or rear end. I have an ltz 4x4 with approx. 76k miles on it. Going to take it it the shop & see what they say.
Vehicle is producing a hard shift between 1st & 2nd gear primarily on cold starts. More recently is has been doing more through out the day but not as serve. This started around 7500 miles, currently at 23,000+. The vehicle has now been to three dealers (6+ attempts) with no resolution. One dealer took the valve body off for inspection and cleaning. Other dealers have tried reprogramming. Last attempt at repair was the week 8/25/2020 with no resolution as they could not duplicate the issue (had the vehicle for a week). The next day I experienced the harsh shift twice in one day. I also experience transmission slippage at constant speeds between 45 & 60mph. A bulletin came out from gm the week of 8/25/2020 indicating note to repair/replace the transmission as this is normal. How is this normal when it shift so hard it through the occupants forward and rearward in the seat. How is this safe for a young child/toddler? this has the potential to cause whiplash in younger children. I have in firm believe this is a cause for my neck and shoulder pain. As an added note: I have been working with the gm executive resolution team on this issue and again no resolution. I am also experiencing an issue with the parking brake coming on by itself when the vehicle is completely off and the key out of the vehicle. Again dealers cannot duplicate even though one service rep witnessed it while dropping the vehicle off for service. This is a safety issue for anyone performing brake service as the brake could activate and cause a pinch point. Overall I have several other electrical issues regarding radio, dic display & cruise control. Only the dic display has been corrected. I also have had leaking rear slider and squeaks in the front left dash, right front floorboard and upper lh b-pillar. I also had the left dash panel replaced due to a broken tab. Video upon request.
When cold, the transmission has a hard slip when shifting between 1st and 2nd gear. Usually happens in the morning when I am leaving my house. On icy/snow covered road it will cause the rear wheels to lose traction. Thus creating a safety hazard for me, other vehicles or pedestrians on the roadway.
In motion. Transmission hard slip/kick randomly. Also ac condenser cracked and leaked out all freon at 50000miles.
Transmission slips, transmission downshifts hard, transmission will have a loud thud when reengaging after taking foot off gas pedal in stop and go traffic, especially on the expressway. Thud can be felt in the cab of the truck. Electronic 4 wheel drive grinds when engaged in motion. 4 wheel drive grinds when turning even the slightest bit. Upon first starting vehicle transmission hesitates until temp reaches 125 degrees at least.

Transmission slips, knocks, and grinds in some instances. No check engine light from these issues but spent 30k + and I having these issues at 13,500 miles.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle after the vehicle had been parked for an extended period, the transmission slipped. The contact stated that after depressing the accelerator pedal, the transmission failed to respond. The contact stated that after releasing the accelerator pedal and waiting for several seconds the vehicle operated as designed. The vehicle was taken to serpentini Chevrolet of west lake (25100 detroit rd, westlake, OH 44145, (440) 740-3208) to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or duplicate the failure. The contact sought a second opinion from another dealer and was informed that the vehicle operated as designed. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 300.
Our transmission is slipping I took it to the dealership and had them drive it they said they were aware of the situation and said they would document the problem that gm is working on a recall notice but it would be January 2019 before anything can be done our truck is now down and we can't wait til January to get the recall notice to get it fixed we depend on this vehicle everyday to go to work now we're down one vehicle the dealership is not trying to help us get our vehicle fixed or replaced without the recall notice. They have several vehicles with the same problem sitting at there dealership 2015-2017 silverado trucks.

Was pulling out of my driveway when the transmission slipped and car had to slam on its brakes so it wouldn't hit me. Then it was sluggish and slipping on my 30 minute drive to work on interstate 81. On the way home it started to get worse and making an awful humming sound out of the transmission. I've researched this problem and everyone is having the same problem with GMC and chevy 1500 trucks from 2014 to 2017. I check the fluids every week and there are always good. It just seems there should be a recall if everyone is having the same problem. Thank you.

Truck shifts bad, almost like the gears are slipping usually seems to happen around 3rd-4th gear. The truck also vibrates at 35 mph up to highway speeds. This all happens when driving.
I bought a 2016 chevy Silverado 1500 ltz z71 and it vibrates at idle and the transmission is slipping. I had already took it to the dealership to get it fix, but no luck. Gm told me that is how the truck is designed to operate, which is hard to believe. There is absolutely zero help from gm to help me resolve the problem. I was given an option to trade it in for a new one at my own expenses or deal with the problem. Ford would not take my truck as a trade in nor will GMC. This vehicle can potentially by dangerous and a liability as the transmission seem to have a mind of its own and the constant vibration cannot possibly he good for anyone.

While sitting at a traffic light while removing foot from brake pedal vehicle jump forward (as being rear ended) at other times at low speeds while parking vehicle lunges forward. Vehicle acts like transmission is slipping then lunges forward. Took vehicle to dealership and they reported that problems are a normal and are a normal characteristic of vehicle operating as designed. Dealership then gave me a list of service bulletins of past issues that were not part of my original complaint. Vehicle problems started with less than 800 miles now has 1800. Vehicle problem is intermittent.
The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While the contact was driving approximately 45 mph approaching a stop sign, the engine warning indicator illuminated and the transmission began to slip gears. The warning light remained illuminated until the engine was tuned off. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they detected the four wheel drive encoder motor failed for the second time. The part had been replaced less than two years ago. The manufacturer was notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.
