The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet silverado. The contact stated while stationary, the seat belt fasteners would retract, and once he tried to adjust they would not retract far enough. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for repair but the failure persisted. On a separate occasion, the rearview camera would display a half-moon shape and would block the contact's visibility. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, the dealer informed the contact it was normal and the vehicle was not repaired for the failure. On a separate occasion the contact stated while the vehicle was stationary, there was a hick-up and an abnormal ticking sound. While the contact was driving at 75 mph, the vehicle started to lose motive power. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact merged to the side of the road and the motor seized. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and was diagnosed with motor and lifter failure. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25,537.
