Coolant control valve causes car to overheat leaving car and passengers stranded on the side of the road. This is dangerous as it increases the risk accidents. The part is on back order since most of the vehicles with the original part are defective. Something needs to be done to correct this problem!.
My vehicles check engine light came on at 80,000 miles with a reduced engine power alert. If I'm on the highway I'm unable to accelerate quickly if I needed to. We had the vehicle checked out and it was the turbocharger that was bad. I had taken it to a Chevrolet dealership and they said other chevy vehicles have already had a recall on some models for the exact same reason. I believe this is a serious problem with the Trailblazers as well for what I have found online. Please put a recall on this. It's very expensive repair for most people's financial situation.
Bolts/studs that attach/hold exhaust system together rotted/rusted/broke after only 2 years of use causing entire exhaust system to become detached from vehicle.

Alerting to shift to park and not turning off while vehicle is already in park.
I’m just adding confirmation to my solenoid/waste gate/ turbo system reduced engine power on the 2021 Trailblazer around 23,000 miles . [xxx] , raleigh n. C information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Month of June of 2024 I purchased 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer lt with 31k miles on the odometer I had to service my vehicle and had to replace the fuel pump, took weeks to get in due to the strike that took place, Chevrolet will not back behind their employees nor their consumers. They only honored me 15pts on my vehicle, a few months pass and more issues arise one being the manifold sensor (a) and then another two days on the road the wiring harness thankfully my car was under a secondary warranty and I paid $200 per repair, although this became a very costly month being $600 car payment and $400 in repairs in a matter of a few months owning the vehicle, I am having similar issues again with the wiring harness a year later.
We own a 2022 chevy Trailblazer and we have experienced the “shift to park” issue more times than we can count. We receive the “shift to park” message on the dash screen after the car has been shifted to park and we attempt to turn the vehicle off. This problem has caused me to be late to my job on numerous occasions and late to an exam that determines my graduation at school. Many users report being able to just shift through the gears a couple times or wiggling the gear shift and it shuts off, but that is not always my case. I have, on a few occasions now, had to remove my gear shift knob and panel completely, locating the park switch and manually bending it to recognize that my car was in park. Doing this will typically subside the issue for about a week, but no longer than that. We have tried to have the dealership see the message when taking it in for other things, but it never seems to happen when they are watching. There were no other issues with this vehicle before this started happening. We purchased the vehicle in February with about 44,000 miles. This issue has instilled fear in me every time I go to shut my vehicle off never knowing if it will actually shut off or not. Dramatic or not, it has caused unwanted anxiety and too many mental breakdowns that were not needed. This needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP!.
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that when the vehicle was started, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact noticed smoke exiting from the hood. In addition, smoke was exiting through the interior vents. The vehicle was turned off, however the fan continued to run. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 400.

Cel came on at 77,000 miles p1467 is this covered?.
While driving 65-70 mph cruise control will continuously "bog" down and act like it is wanting to cut off the whole vehicle. Transmission is starting to act like it is slipping to the point where I am going all the way to the steering wheel before it catches again. Vehicle is under 36,000 miles and should not be having transmission issues. Radio has been replaced once before but is now doing the same thing where it is not recognizing my phone, directions given to it by touch on screen, and will even completely turn off while in the middle of driving. Will freeze and then act like the screen has 'water' damage. Back up camera is not calibrated correctly. It states that I have more than enough room to make a turn but when looking into my mirrors, it is off by almost a foot and a half. I was in a car accident due to the back up camera malfunction with the difference in distance and with the screen malfunctioning. I have had the vehicle inspected by the chevy dealership multiple times and they have stated that there is nothing coming up on the code reader. The vehicle is available for inspection. My children ride in this vehicle and after the accident, I do not deem it quite safe with the malfunctioning parts. There has not been any lights coming on for the issues but the issues are there.
“shift to park” alert. It started after the car had 29,000 miles. It would occur occasionally but on Jan 4th of this year, I had to restart and move my car 11 times in order for the alert to be cancelled and I was able to shut off my car. I have been told there is no parts available by the dealer who has my car and they don’t know when the work will be done!.
Reduced engine power, code p0014. Camshaft actuator oil control valve bolt stuck open. All the signs and symptoms per bulletin released by nhsta to repair if not sold yet. Extremely hazardous when accelerating to get on highway and engine power reduces.
Whenever I accelerate over 65 miles per hour the engine and transmission light comes on and the car goes into reduced engine speed. I get a message to service my engine I took it to the dealership, they could not figure out the problem because the engine light only stays on for a day or so and then goes out again. This issue has been happening more frequently over the last few weeks.
The abs system in this vehicle flashes warnings at quick restarts and while holding the brake down, it has no “sponge” when this happens. The brakes squeal constantly. I’ve had them inspected at every single maintenance and there can be no flaw found. When driving on the interstate, the engine is very “jerky” almost like the transmission can’t keep up with the speed of 70-80mph (not always, but it is noticeable when it happens). At first I didn’t think much of it but with the mass recall of chevys identified, I believe it needs to go on record - particularly about the brakes.
1-cracked coil caused breakdown and gas flooded engine on a road trip 109mi from home, stranded, no accommodations for replacement vehicle during service-may 12-19, 2023 2-faulty purge solenoid valve-December 4, 2023, serviced and repaired December 7, 2023 3-engine light same code for evap leak that was repaired, waiting on contact for repair December 9,2023. The first issue caused major safety concerns for myself and my partner, stranded on the side of the highway over 100 miles from home. No police or insurance reports. This will be the 3rd time the vehicle will be serviced for engine repair in the 7 months that it's been driven.
Transmission doesn’t have 3rd or 4th gear. Vehicle was smoking under hood. Found out after buying it it has flood damage. Mechanic said there was water in the transmission when inspected. Vehicle needs catylic converter sensor and vehicle has bad ground wire. Seller didn’t inform me of any of these issues and he said it was in good shape and very reliable.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer stated that the purge valve needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. On another occasion, the contact experienced a flat tire due to a nail in the tire. While the driver side rear tire was being removed the lug nuts and the bolts on the axle were damaged. The car rmp goes high when accelerating it's a common problem with the cooling fan which the company is aware of it but aren't held reliable! it's a shame that NHTSA hade many complaining about the issue but aren't holding the manufacturer responsible this could of hade me and my family in an accident!.

Check engine light keeps coming on. Hard shifting. Takes too long for brake to engage. Fuel injector replaced. This car is only 3 months into service.
I was driving on the highway just reaching 55 mph, that is when all of a sudden, my SUV stalled out with no warning no sound nothing. I tried to restart it and sounded as if it was trying to start but wouldn't. After a couple of times of trying that is when a tow truck came and as he was putting my SUV on the flat bed I noticed huge amount oil on the ground. I got it towed to chevy dealership for service and that is when they told me that the 6th cylinder cracked also a rod went through causing a hole in the engine block. I asked what could have caused it, because I'm on top of my maintenance and my SUV only had 94,000 miles on it. That is when he explained to me that it was nothing that I did and that there was nothing that I could've done to prevent it and that there was nothing I did wrong that caused it. So, the leaves me asking, isn't that a manufacturing issue?.

Second time in dealership shop to get gas smell coming from engine. Vehicle still under warranty. Afraid of the vehicle catching fire on me. Took it into another repair shop and 2 technicians notice the strong gas odor and was afraid of working on it.
The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact replaced the camshaft and crankshaft sensors; however, the failure recurred with an error code for the variable valve timing (vvt). Additionally, the odometer mileage would not appear upon starting the vehicle until the vehicle was driven. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the timing chain and actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.
Driving vehicle and noticed smoke coming from front end. Pulled over and entire vehicle caught fire. No check engine light, no temp gauge changes. Just smoke and then fire.

I had a smell of gasoline inside and under hood of 2021 Trailblazer lt 1. 3l. Took to Chevrolet dealer. Confirmed gas odor. Gas was leaking from fuel rail. Sevice manager said it was pouring out. Found out gm has service bulliten for this pip5765 that covers both chevy Trailblazer with 1. 3l and Buick encore GX with 1. 3l motors. This has been a scary situation considering gas fumes could have caught fire.
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the engine fans were activated however, the engine overheated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed the engine thermostat was faulty. The thermostat was replaced, and the failure was remedied. Also, while driving the vehicle would jerk and hesitate while changing gears. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The contact was informed by the dealer that the failure was a transmission issue. No further information was available. Also, while driving 27 mph, the service brake system failure" message suddenly displayed, and the brake pedal was hard while pressed. The parking brake was activated. Moments later the message "power steering failure" displayed and the steering wheel was difficult to turn in either direction. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the brake master cylinder was faulty and needed to be replaced. The brake master cylinder was replaced, and the braking and steering failures were remedied. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,051.
I have had the 2021 chevy Trailblazer since may 2021, it has been 15 months, not even a year and a half off the lot and I have had wayyyy too many problems. I have has service the stabilitrak stability control system, service the antilock breaking system multiple times within the first 8-10 months. I had to get a part replaced due to that. The dealership had my vehicle literally for a month after I bought it, had an open tak report through gm due to my engine light coming on. Gm did not know why it was happening. Had 2 service engine and transmission system alerts. I have had a fuel injector and line replaced as well within the first 6 months. I have had to get the system updated 2 times also. Now August 2022 im having service battery, or starter. Have had my vehicle shut off on me at an intersection then come back on two different times. My breaks have been squealing ever since I got this vehicle. Dealership confirms everything is in good standing. I have not had a vehicle where breaks squeal when I am coming to a stop or backing out of my driveway constantly. Dealership keeps saying OH its just probably dust or dirt, spray them out and it should stop. But, it has not for about a year now! unbelievable! I am going it to trade this vehicle in. This is wayyy too much to be dealing with when you pay $30 grand on a vehicle!.
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the auto-stop was not functioning properly. Additionally, the doors would not unlock on two separate occasions. Additionally, the keyless ignition button would not turn off the vehicle until the contact applied pressure while pressing on the button. The contact also stated that the tire pressure sensor was faulty. The check engine warning light and reduced power message was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions and the dealer informed the contact that the auto-stop function was unprogrammed due to the weather however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer reprogrammed the auto-stop software and tire pressure sensor however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was awaiting a callback. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
