Chevrolet Trailblazer owners have reported 7 problems related to engine oil leaking (under the engine and engine cooling category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I purchased the vehicle from usados auto sales and the owner told me the car had 185,000 on it. Well after paying cash and waiting 27 days I finally receive the title and it says it has 260,000. The bill of sale he signed when he bought it also stated that the actual mileage wasn't correct. He filed my bill of sale out and didn't inform me or even right back there form he lied to me and said it was 185,000 so I contacted him and he said it was something he overlooked to just write on my bill of sale the actual mileage and I told him no I would you have spent $2500 on a vehicle with 260,000 miles and he refuses to help me. Now the vehicles check engine light is on. It leaking oil and the radio doesn't work and it keeps blowing fuses.

Vehicle started leaveing spots of oil on the ground over night. Was driving to work on Wednesday and a blueish cloud of smoke was trailing behind me. Arrived at work and let truck cool down after whitch I crawled underneath and with a mirror was able to locate the leaking rear main seal. This is a common problem with gm,s 5. 3 liter engines. Multiple forums are posting many people complaining of the same issue. Gm needs to stand behind there products and repair this issue which again is a wide spread known problem.

I was driving my 2007 Trailblazer home after a 150 mile trip to columbus and noticed oil spots on my driveway. I moved and parked the vehicle in another location where a large puddle of "oil. " fell under the engine. I climbed underneath and saw transmission fluid dripping from the frame onto the ground. I called graham Chevrolet and was told not to drive as it would cause severe damage to the transmission resulting in a costly repair or replacement. I called aaa and had the vehicle towed on a flatbed truck to graham Chevrolet where they replaced the corroded and leaking transmission lines with a bill of over $500. 00 for the work done. They said gm knows of the problem and it is common to theses vehicles, but no recall or warranty repair was authorized. It was the customers problem to take care of. I have since found others with the same issue and also did an internet search showing many Trailblazers with this problem. My complaint is that the vehicle was designed and built with a defective transmission cooler line material subject to corrosion and failure over time. Gm and Chevrolet should be responsible for this repair and issue a callback to prevent any potential accidents or injuries due to this failure.
