Consumer's vehicle stopped at a red light when a drunken driver collided with car from the rear. Consumer's vehicle also collided with a car positioned in front. Upon impact, airbags failed to deploy. Driver sustained serious injuries.

The consumer stated her husband was coming out of the driveway and the vehicle was hit on the side. She stated that he received some minor injuries and his air bag did not deploy.

While making a right turn into the parking lot. A vehicle collided and hit the vehicle head on in the parking lot. Both air bags did not deploy. The consumer sustained head neck and leg injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The vehicle was towed and totaled by the insurance company.

When the consumer applied brakes, the pedal went to the floor. The consumer was unable to maintain control of the vehicle and skidded into embankment and flipped twice. The driver 's side air bag did not deploy, but the passenger side air did deploy. The driver was dead on arrival. The insurance company towed totaled the vehicle. While driving 25 mph consumer's vehicle was involved in a head on collision. Upon impact, the air bags did not deploy. No injuries reported.

While driving at 35 mph air bag warning light came on ,and the horn failed to work. Also, cruise control did not work. A recall was issued on clock spring affecting earlier models. Recall campaign; NHTSA campaign id number : 04v480000. For the air bag. The consumer stated that she was in a car accident and the air bags did not deploy. The consumer submitted paperwork on a reimbursement for the clock spring repair.

During a 35 mph frontal vehicle collision front air bags did not deploy. Consumer sustained neck injures. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem. The consumer stated that the vehicle shifts out of the park position without the foot behing on the brake. 4 year old hit the shift lever and the vehicle rolled down the driveway and across the street.

The vehicle was involved in a frontal collision while driving at 60 mph. The vehicle hydro-planed,struck the medium, went over 5 lanes and crashed into the guard rail. The frontal air bags failed to deploy upon impact. The driver sustained minor injuries including a sore neck and buries. The consumer's son was operating the vehicle at the time of the accident. The light on the dash always indicated that the air bags were enabled.

While driving at 45 mph, the consumer's vehicle was two cars behind a stopped vehicle, making a u turn. The first vehicle was struck in the rear, and the second vehicle bounced back and collided with the front of the consumer's vehicle. The consumer and passenger were wearing seat belts, but the airbags did not deploy. One passenger sustained a bruised chest and abdomen. The vehicle was totaled.

Air bag light on and horn, cruise control not working. Dealer said its my problem & will cost $300+. I know there have been numerous complaints of same prob. & other year models recalled for same problem. The dealer told me the air bag will not deploy in a crash.

Collision at 30 plus miles per hour air bag did not deploy. The front of the van struck another car on the side traveling at 30 miles per hour. Causing severe neck and back injuries. .

While driving 40 mph vehicle was involved in a frontal collision. Traffic suddenly stopped, and consumer's vehicle hit another vehicle. Front air bags did not deploy. Driver sustained neck injury. Front passenger's chest was bruised from the seat belt. Four passengers in the rear sustained minor injuries. All passenger were wearing seat belts. Front passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment. There was no indication or warning that there was a problem with the air bags before the collision. Chrysler was sending a technician to inspect the vehicle.

While traveling at 60 mph vehicle involved in a rear end collision. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy. Consumer was concerned since a recall letter was received for NHTSA recall 04v48000.

Nhsta recall 04v480000 concerning clock spring failure. Consumer's vehicle was traveling about 10 mph when it hit a vehicle in front. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy.

Consumer states that vehicle was in a collision hitting a tree head on. Upon impact, both front air bags did not deploy. Dealer notified.

The vehicle hit a concrete wall, and the driver's air bag failed to deploy.

I took the van to the local Dodge dealer and the diagnosis is that clock spring in the steering wheel needs to be replaced. In the current condition the air bag will not deploy on the driver side in the event of an accident. The estimated cost is ~ $300. 00. I have scheduled the work for next week. I called Chrysler and was told that since there is not a recall for this they will not participate in the repair cost. This is a safety issue if the air bag will not deploy. Per articles on the internet Chrysler has replaces over 124,000 clock springs, on their own admission!.

At a 50mph vehicle crashed. Upon impact, airbags did not deploy. Cause unknown. Dealer notified.

Cockspring mechanism has failed, resulting in airbag light on. Vehicle was checked by dealer, who advised consumer that airbag could deploy or not deploy in event of a collision. Frontal driver air bag is affected.

Air bag light remains illuminated due to a malfunction within clock spring which could also cause a problem with horn and cruise control. In an collision the air bag will not deploy.

Air bag light intermittently comes on while driving, dealer diagnosed problem as faulty "clockspring" in the steering wheel. This same problem existed and was under recall in previous year Caravans. Called Chrysler about issue and was told it was not their issue since the vehicle has 50k miles and the vehicle warranty expired at 36k. This is a safety issue since the air bag will not deploy in the event of a accident. I paid the dealer to replace the clockspring at a cost of $225. 00. Since this vehicle was recalled for the same issue less than 3 years earlier I do not believe this safety issue was adaquately resolved.

Mr. Gerald lotto is an attorney on behalf of sherri capone stating that air bags did not deploy during a collision. There was damage to the front of the vehicle and ms. Capone sustained extensive facial injuries.

Vehicle was involved in a accident and the airbags failed to deploy, consumer also stated that the seat collapsed, there was one injury.

Attorney is writing on behalf of mr. Ernest b. Reeves who was struck head on by another vehicle. Even though mr. Reeves had his seat belts on, the air bags did not deploy and mr. Reeves sustained a concussion, neck, shoulder and back injuries.

Airbag light stays on, horn doesn't work, cruise control doesn't work. I was told by dealer the clock spring needs replacing and that this default could cause the airbags to not deploy in a crash. This is a safety hazard that needs to be recalled by Chrysler.

I have had a recent problem where I just thought that the air bag light was on. I later learned that not only is the air bag light on but the air bag will not deploy if n accident occurs. In addition the horn and cruise control does not work. By searching on the web I have learned from the dealer that this is a common problem in their vehicles. It will cost me over 250 dollars to correct. How can Dodge know that this problem exists and does not tell anyone or have a recall. This is deplorable.
