Clock spring failure causes the air bag and horn to not work. I had to replace the clock spring and then my air bag and horn works. These 2 items are safety features that need to be addressed. **dimsii ivoq entry posted after 12/12/02 cut over to artemis**768035.

Front crash at 25 mph, driver's airbag deployed, passenger airbag exploded. Passenger suffered chemical burns on face. Damage to vehicle unknown at this time.

The vehicles clock spring failed prior to recall notice 02v-293000. The consumer requested reimbursement but only received partial reimbursement.

While driving at 65mph at a head on collision with a deer. Frontal airbags didn't deploy. Vehicle was totalled. Dealer contacted.

In a head on collision none of the air bags deployed on impact. Driver sustained major injuries.

Driving down the road at 35 mph when both air bags went off at once. No reason for deployment, no other vehicles or damage involved. Caused miner abrasions to driver and passenger as well as damage by spilled soda of passenger. Also cracked the windshield.

Vehicle was totaled in a frontal crash on driver's side. Neither passenger's or driver's air bag deployed. Consumer sustained multiple injuries. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified.

Vehicle was involed in an accident. Driver's air bag didn't deploy from a frontal impact. Vehicle was totaled. Chrysler representative examined, and stated clock spring wasn't functioning. Consumer will add additional comments.

My Mini van was involved in a accident and the impact was was hard and the air bags did not diploy. I am very thankfull that no one was hurt but my car is now total. I am very conserned about the air bags.

Consumer hit a pothole and both of the air bags deployed. Consumer and wife were injured.

Due to the safty factors involved and the numerous complaints,Dodge should be made to repair the vehicles at no cost to the owners. No safety defec tlisted in summary.

During a full frontal impact at 30-35 mph (estimated), neither front air bag deployed. The initial review by the body shop indicates the extent of damage is significant enough to cause the vehicle to be totaled. The extent of injuries to my wife (driver) are unknown at this time as they have developed over the course of the day (pain in left wrist and hand, right elbow, and chest). She will be seeking medical attention.

While driving through an intersection about 20 mph another vehicle struck consumer's vehicle on the driver's side, and the air bags deployed, but did not stay inflated for long time.

While pulling vehicle into driveway and shifting into park the driver's air bag inadvertently deployed. This caused temporary loss of hearing in her right ear and minor injuries and bruises to chest/head and right side. Dealer notified.

A fire started in the a/c vent by the steering wheel, from which flames came out and engulfed the car. Also, driver's airbag deployed. Vehicle shut off. Vehicle has previously been serviced for transmission problems.

Both air bags inadvertently deployed while traveling at 25 mph or less. No bump/ pothole, or manhole plate was ran over at the time. Dealer/manufacturer notified.

Had an accident on 05-Aug-99, and air bags on both driver's side/ passenger's side didn't deploy. Consumer contacted dealer. Was hit from the front.

I was slowing down toward a traffic light and about 35-mph the abs light came on. The car brakes went almost to the floor could not stop. Consequently I could not avoid a collision. The dealer said that the air bag did not open because the vehicle impact was inches just above the left side of the bumper, to my surprise. I thought I was buying a safe vehicle for my family. Since the vehicle was new the light came on one time or another, the deler could not find the problem but it was there and nothing was fix.

There was no deployment of the driver's or passenger's air bags when van was involved in a rear end crash, going about 25-30 mph. Everything from the engine block forward was crushed, including the dip stick. The van has been repaired.

False deployment of air bags when driving over pot hole caused facial injuries.

During a frontal collision at about 45 mph, the driver's and passenger's air bags malfunctioned, causing injuries.

Driver cannot open window without his face being approximately four inches from the airbag, depending on sit and wheel positions, if an accident occurs could cause serious injuries to operator's neck. Consumer states bumpers on vehicle are made of this useless plastic.

Violent deployment of driver's air bag during an accident, resulting in injuries, also passenger's air bag broke out of the dashboard, causing sharp edges which larcerated pasenger's arm.

The consumer requested reimbursement for the replacement of clock spring. The defective clock spring caused the air bags/horn to fail.

The consumer experienced a problem with the clock spring and the heater. Scc.
