Transmission is going bad. The transmission started making noise and stuttering. It was stationary when it was first noticed. As soon as I turned the car on and switched gears the transmission started with a whirring noise. Took it to a garage and they told me it is the transmission pump. Which is a known issue with these vehicles.

: the contact stated that while driving 70 mph, the vehicle's transmission failed, throwing the vehicle out of gear. The vehicle would not accelerate or change gears. It was pulled to the side of the road, and then taken to a service dealer. The dealer determined that the transmission pump shaft was broken, and the gear surface was completely worn. The individual parts were replaced.
