37 Equipment problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/18/2026

I am writing to file a complaint on the service that was provided at vann york Honda. On February 17, 2026, I was returning home from work and my car had a hard idle at start up. I was able to drive it home without issue. The next day, February 18, I got in my car and I had another hard idle start with many check engine codes appearing on the dashboard. I drove it to vann york Honda in high point, north carolina for service. I was told it was a faulty fuel injector causing the problem and that it needed to be replaced. I left the car there over night and paid for the service; approximately $3,000. I got the car back on February 19. On February 20, I again had a rough idle on start up. I brought the car back to vann york Honda and advised them that I was experiencing the same issue as before. The mechanic brought it to the back and advised me that he could not find anything wrong with the vehicle and that it is running fine. I expressed my concerns with the vehicle and he stated that without a error code or check engine light being on, it would be difficult to diagnose. The technician and the advisor said to keep driving it until a light comes on saying there is a problem since they could not find an issue. In the following 2 weeks, I had regular rough idles on start up and the fuel efficiency dropped approximately 6 miles per gallon. When I filled the car with gas, the fuel range dropped from 540 to 370. When I called about that issue, they said they reset the computer when performing the previous service on the vehicle and it is taking time for the computer to "learn" the car again. On March 6, I brought the vehicle back to vann york Honda due to many check engine codes appearing on the dashboard. On the way to vann york, the service advisor called me and stated that she would be reaching out to Honda corporate to see about Honda paying for some of the cost of this service. My wife and I drove into the service bay and I spoke with the service adviso.

38 Equipment problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/15/2026

On February 15 Sunday night my 2024 Accord was broken in by thieves. Honda’s door lock system was so easy that robbers were able to hack it and open the driver door easily. After which steering wheel airbag was stolen. There was another Honda Accord 2025 model also parked which belong to my family member, was also hit by same thieves and was a victim of door brake in and steering wheel airbag stolen. I would like to file complaint against Honda’s week security system which allowed the thieves to easily brake into our vehicles. Upon checking the internet I came across videos of how easy it is to steel the airbags since it only requires 2 small flathead screw drivers to unlatch the steering wheel air bag. During my conversation with police who files my report mentioned that “ Honda is being hit with these cases a-lot and Honda vehicles can easily be started with wifi system”. I spoke to the service advisor at Honda who is fixing my car about this issue, he responded saying “ there is nothing we can do. The best thing you can do is put steering wheel lock bar on it”. At this point I don’t feel safe having Honda vehicle at all. What can prevent them from not breaking to my car again after being fixed? at this point it is a high risk for me for constantly paying insurance deductibles and chances of insurance premiums increments and worst of all a constant stress every night of being hit again.

39 Equipment problem of the 2014 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/15/2026

Many lights on dashboard including ldw, front collision system failure, tire pressure came on. Very concerned about driving safety. Researched the issue - seems fairly common across 2012-2017 Accords.

40 Equipment problem of the 2023 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/13/2026

It is my understanding Honda issued a extended warranty on the air conditioning condenser for its Accord models from 2018-2022. I have a 2023 Accord and the exact same issue has happened on my car. Similar to the earlier problems with fuel pumps where a partial recall was extended to the same model built in later years, I am suggesting Honda needs to repeat the extended warranty to include 2023 models. I am bringing this issue to your attention in case others are having the same experience.

41 Equipment problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/12/2026

I am reporting a serious safety concern involving my 2021 Honda Accord sport se. The issue began at approximately 78,000 miles when multiple warning lights suddenly appeared on the dashboard while driving. At the same time, the vehicle began shaking and had difficulty accelerating. The engine felt unstable and the car struggled to gain speed. I immediately took the vehicle to a mechanic where it was diagnosed with an engine misfire on cylinder 3. The spark plug and ignition coil were replaced. After this repair the vehicle appeared to run normally for a short time, but the exact same symptoms returned shortly afterward. The vehicle again began shaking while driving and experienced loss of power and poor acceleration. This creates a serious safety concern, especially when merging onto highways or driving in traffic where sudden loss of power could lead to an accident. After researching this issue, I discovered numerous complaints from other owners of 2021 Honda Accords describing the same symptoms that ultimately resulted in blown head gasket failures. These complaints appear in the NHTSA database and other consumer forums. The pattern of engine misfires, shaking, and loss of acceleration appears to be consistent across many vehicles with similar mileage. Despite the number of similar complaints, there are currently no recalls associated with my VIN. I believe this may indicate a broader manufacturing defect affecting these vehicles. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue further to determine whether a safety defect exists that could require a recall or other corrective action.

42 Equipment problem of the 2016 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/09/2026

After driving about 20-25 minutes, the speakers after working fine turn to all loud static even when turning the volume down. After the car is off for a bit, the speakers return to normal until driving again for 10-20 minutes. It’s so loud that you can’t hear anything and is very distracting.

44 Equipment problem of the 2015 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/07/2026

I am reporting suspected odometer fraud and possible VIN [xxx] entation involving a vehicle being offered for sale. The seller stated the vehicle has approximately 123,000 miles. However, a vehicle history report and third-party valuation (carvana) show the same vehicle VIN [xxx] ) WI [xxx] les recorded. This is a discrepancy of more than 180,000 miles. I personally photographed the VIN plate on the vehicle and confirmed the VIN [xxx] ) matches the h [xxx] ing high mileage. The seller did not disclose the higher mileage and is advertising the vehicle at a value consistent with a much lower-mileage vehicle. This appears to be an intentional misrepresentation of the vehicle’s true mileage. I have screenshots of the listing, seller communications stating 123,000 miles, VIN [xxx] ) photos, and documentatio [xxx] er mileage history. I am submitting this complaint to report potential odometer rollback or mileage fraud so the vehicle can be investigated before another buyer is harmed. Failure Date: 01/27/2026

To whom it may concern, my 2023 Honda Accord (VIN: <fill in red: VIN [xxx] >) has been disabled since January 27, 2026 due to a fuel system failure. The dealership falsely claimed diesel contamination, which I deny. Despite escalation to Honda executives and NJ lemon law action, the vehicle remains unsafe and unusable. Attached is documentation supporting my complaint (master pdf: camardo_honda_accord_escalation. Pdf). I request your immediate review and assistance to resolve this safety issue. 47 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/24/2026

I wanted to report that this vehicle, According to carfax, had 169,236 miles on August 15, 2025, and 9/4/25, and 85,326 miles on January 24, 2026. That's only 4 months! the odometer was tampered with, and this seller knew it was altered because it went through 5 different sellers in those 4 months. I don't know if their reports are true or false, which is why I'm writing to see if you can help me.

48 Equipment problem of the 2022 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/23/2026

All of my driver warnings keep coming on, I have brought it back to the dealership mechanics three times already they said the code was showing a spark plug. I have had that changed out and the car is still doing the same thing. When accelerating or even while driving it will die I have to pull over turn the car off and restart it and it still cuts out and dies. There have been times that it wouldn't go over 55 mph. I was almost hit by a car due to it stalling on the interstate when trying to merge from a on ramp.

49 Equipment problem of the 2022 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/23/2026

Car flashed engine temperature near limit, avoid heavy acceleration and high speed, see dealership warning on dash. Sounds like water moving thru the dash board when driving or turning or right when starting car. Took car in to dealership right away and they confirmed it is a head gasket issue and that they have at least 20 other cars there due to the same issue. My car has now been in the dealership for over a month and a half now and there is not a clear when it will be repaired due to how many other cars they have there with the same issue. I currently have a rental due to having the extended warranty. I want them to buy the car back so I can get another one with out issues. I have two teenagers that are also learning how to drive. All of the maintaince has been done at the Honda dealership.

50 Equipment problem of the 2023 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/23/2026

I was driving down the freeway and all of a sudden there was a spontaneous, loud-bang, and explosion-like shattering of my moonroof/sunroof. I didn't know what happened initially but heard glass shards sliding around the roof. I slid the cover slightly open and could see the shattered glass. I drove home and discovered a hole in the glass. Im attaching pictures of what I saw. I got home and searched online to see if anyone else has experienced this and found several articles referencing 2023 Honda Accord's and this issue. Including some class action law suits against Honda.

Vehicle was taken to Honda of round rock for the integrated control module (icm) recall (NHTSA recall 25v785). The dealership performed partial service but stated a 'gateway' part is on backorder. Since this service, the vehicle has been returned to us with a non-functional speedometer, non-functional speed sensor, no a/c/defrost, and multiple disabled safety sensors. Driving without a speedometer is a severe safety hazard. The manufacturer has provided no timeline for the part and refused a loaner, leaving us with an un-roadworthy vehicle as a direct result of a recall repair attempt.

When it is raining I cannot see using the backup camera. Rain drops on the camera lens make it so that I can only see light, I. E. The drops of rain obscure everything. Basically it is like not having a backup camera at all.

56 Equipment problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/10/2026

This problem is seemingly widespread from one google search! the infotainment system screen will randomly start doing “ghost touches,” tapping random areas of the screen which is distracting but also clicking on things that shouldn’t be casually clicked like emergency calling or calling a random number! the screen would end my navigation, mute the speaker, go back, switch to a different app, etc. There is no warning lights or anything. The Honda dealerships seem to realize that this is a know issue but will not replace it. They stated that replacing it is doesn’t always work as the problem returns. My car is perfect besides this issue and has never been in a crash.

57 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/06/2026

I am experiencing an ongoing issue with my 2018 Honda Accord lx 1. 5l where multiple warning lights on the dashboard illuminate simultaneously without warning, often described as the dash lighting up “like a christmas tree. ” these lights include (but are not limited to) collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, power steering, and other safety-related systems. The issue appears to occur intermittently and without a clear cause. When this happens, several driver-assist and safety features become disabled, which raises serious safety concerns while operating the vehicle. After researching this problem, I have found numerous reports from other Honda Accord owners experiencing the exact same issue across various online forums and communities. Many of these individuals have also been advised to file complaints with NHTSA due to the widespread nature of the problem. This appears to be a potential systemic or electrical issue that affects multiple critical safety systems at once. I believe this defect could pose a significant safety risk and should be investigated further.

58 Equipment problem of the 2017 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/01/2026

While driving, the vehicle intermittently emits an extremely loud, high-pitched static or screeching noise through the speakers. The sound is sudden, piercing, and startling. Most concerning, this occurs even when the audio system volume is turned completely off. Because the noise is so loud and unexpected, it causes a significant distraction while operating the vehicle. The sound is comparable to an ear-piercing static burst and can make it difficult to concentrate on the road. There is no warning before it occurs, and lowering or muting the volume does not prevent it. This issue has happened multiple times and does not appear to be connected to a specific audio source (radio, bluetooth, etc. ). Given the intensity of the noise and the fact that it cannot be controlled by adjusting the volume, I believe this poses a potential safety risk.

59 Equipment problem of the 2016 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/01/2026

Loud static noise coming from speakers even when audio is turned off. Consistent with bluetooth radio or radio off it is terribly loud and dangerous to be driving with. Think its a head unit issue please need a factory recall.

60 Equipment problem of the 2017 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/01/2026

Head unit or premium amp failure, blasts static at full volume and can’t be turned off. Continues to be an issue after turning car off, disconnecting battery, volume power off, etc.

61 Equipment problem of the 2017 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/01/2026

I have a Honda Accord sport. My vehicle does not appear on the recall website. I am having so many issues with my vehicle lately. The following lights stay on continuously on my dashboard. The tire pressure light, abs, tired skid traction, brake and steering wheel lights are on. I have tried everything to get these issues resolved and nothing seems to be working. I am thinking now that this could possibly be an electrical issue or sensor issue. I have replaced my batter twice, my passenger side window fell, and I had the motor replaced and it is still not working. My car stalls when I am driving, sitting still and when I turn the air conditioning on. I have had so many repairs done to this vehicle. The invoices will be attached to this as well. I have basically made the care new under the hood, and nothing is working. I need help to get this issue resolved as soon as possible. This is the only vehicle I have to get to and from work daily. Can you please, find it in your heart to help me.

62 Equipment problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/31/2025

The vehicle's infotainment system displays error code tt04 on every startup, preventing over-the-air software updates, including any potential safety-related updates delivered through this system. The tt04 error appeared immediately following completion of fuel pump recall service (NHTSA campaign 24v-763) on 4/12/2025. The vehicle exhibited no infotainment or telematics issues prior to this recall service. This suggests the recall repair procedure either was performed incorrectly or has an inherent flaw that damages the telematics control unit (tcu) communication system. When I returned for subsequent recall service (NHTSA campaign 25v-785), the dealer dismissed the issue as 'normal' and refused repair, only offering to address it after I filed a formal complaint with management. This pattern suggests dealers are aware this is a consequence of recall work but are systematically dismissing customers rather than correcting their errors.

63 Equipment problem of the 2022 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/24/2025

Vehicle won’t start brake hold system problem, vehicle stability assist system problem, hill start assist problem, electric power steering problem collision mitigation system problem all appear on the dash but vehicle won’t start. Battery is not the issue, tested the battery it’s at 12. 5v. Hard reset the battery and jumpstarted but issue persist. Taking vehicle to dealer to diagnose issue but I saw lots of youtube videos and forums of people having the same issue but don’t see a recall open for this issue occurring.

64 Equipment problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/24/2025

I was traveling to kentucky from nyc in December 2025 and while in pennsylvania a sign on my dash stated your safety equipment was out because of a build up on the front lens outside of the car and it stated to stop and clean it off, so I pulled off to the side of the highway and stopped my car and when I stiffed it into park there was a griming noise from the transmission. When I went into the dealership for my next oil change I reported it and they didn't even want to note this down on my service report. They said it happened to long ago and they didn't care about the problem, I just wanted them to know for future use. Also another issue happened a couple of months prior while stopped on the highway near my home because of traffic, my car shifted from drive into park by itself without the shifter moving I don't know what happened but I moved the shifter from drive to park and moved it back to drive. And again I reported this and they didn't want to even note on my service report . Not happy about this situation either. Then I received a text message from the dealership that they wanted to buy my car against a trade in and I said to myself if they refuse to record my problems I 'll take my business somewhere else.

65 Equipment problem of the 2020 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/23/2025

Honda Accords have a 1. 5 l engine, which all have an issue with the head gaskets either overheating or mixing coolant into the cylinders. They’re all doing it eventually because there is a design flaw Honda doesn’t want to honor it and the car will just stop on you on the freeway because coolant touches the spark plugs. Honda is denying the issue when there’s a whole facebook page and internet, page of people saying the same thing they’re quoting and unreasonable amount to fix it almost the cost of the car. It is a very dangerous safety issue and eventually someone could die and needs to make a recall immediately before that happens. Most shops don’t even want to touch the car because it’s a safety issue. If we can get this past ASAP for anybody who has that car or anybody that’s gonna buy that car the safety for them in their family.

66 Equipment problem of the 2016 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/22/2025

I have recently noticed my audio system has static even when it is turned off and when it's turned on, it get's worse. (the static noise is loud, it starts from the back speaker then works it's way to the front speakers) this just started at the end of December 2025 and it's increasing getting worse. I do not feel safe having my family in the car with me because the static noise is on going and can cause overstimulation. The only time I do not hear the audio static no more is when I completely shut my car off. I believe this needs to be recalled and fixed because this is a safety concern. I called Honda and they told me it's going to cost $205 dollars just for the diagnosed. This is outrageous. I have talked to other people I know and they have told me they are experiencing this with their vehicle as well.

67 Equipment problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/19/2025

Radio/infotainment system displays: please insert usb drive containing valid software license file and press ok. I do not have a software license. The dealer asked me on 12/19/25 to contact american Honda. I got a case # that day of #xxx and was assigned a case manager who then went on vacation from 12/25 to 1/5. I understand that. Since then, case manager and american Honda is not responding to my calls or jeff wyler Honda dealership in cincinnati ohio. The dealer said they need the usb with the license info. American Honda is not responding. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

68 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/19/2025

The a/c condenser on my Honda failed and leaked out all of the refrigerant, which subsequently caused the a/c compressor and related components to fail. This issue is well?documented, and Honda has issued an extended warranty specifically for the condenser due to its known defect. My vehicle was inspected by an authorized Honda dealership, and they confirmed that the condenser failed and that the resulting loss of refrigerant caused the compressor to generate metal shavings. These metal particles can circulate through the hvac system, potentially entering the cabin and posing a health risk to the driver and passengers. Despite the clear causal relationship and the dealership’s findings, Honda is refusing to replace the failed compressor and associated components, even though the failure originated from a part they acknowledge as defective and have extended warranty coverage for. There were no warning lights, messages, or symptoms prior to the failure. The a/c system stopped functioning without any advance indication, leaving me without proper ventilation and climate control. This defect raises both mechanical reliability concerns and potential health and safety risks due to metal contamination within the hvac system. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue further, as Honda’s refusal to cover the full scope of damage caused by their known defective condenser leaves consumers exposed to unnecessary safety hazards and significant repair costs.

69 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/10/2025

I had a coolant link problem they couldn't find or fix even after taking it in over 4 times ,how I have a blown head gasket ,also different components in my ac keep going out have had to fix 3 times in the last 3 years, both these are know issues for this year Honda.

70 Equipment problem of the 2020 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/10/2025

It is unknown what system failed. While coasting to slow for the stopped car in front of me, the car began aggressively accelerating without warning. Adaptive and standard cruise control were both off. Lane keep assist and road departure were also switched off. Due to the slick nature of the road, the acceleration left me traveling far too fast with little space to stop. After sliding to a stop, I was within a foot from the car in front of me. This failure very nearly caused an at-fault accident which there was nothing more I could do. Note that this happened roughly 40 mins into a drive, which was otherwise uneventful. No warning lights were present before, during, or after the issue. This car has been having phantom braking issues and power loss issues consistently since March and has spent significant time in Honda's hands for this issue. The vehicle has come to a near stop on the highway from the previous braking issues and has lost power, stranding me in traffic on a highway. It is suspected that the same system failure that caused those issues has come back up again. To date, thousands have been spent on repair "guesses" and tow bills with no end in sight to these safety issues. This vehicle has become a liability and, as a result, inspections are strongly encouraged. I have included photos of the floor mats as they were at the time, properly secured and not near either pedal.
