The turbo charger. The vehicle is currently at the dealership where it was made known that many other similar vehicles are experiencing this issue with no cause. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer. This issues occurred 1 week ago. All the warning lights came up out of no where. Took it to two different places where they confirmed it was code p0299.

Very loud static across multiple speakers, often independent of radio volume with intermittent static through multiple speakers even when muted or off. I can't hear sirens or emergency vehicles. I can't hear anything except loud static. This is a safety hazard. I read comments about this being a common issue with 2016/2017 Honda Accords xl and higher. This is a factory/manufacturer's defect. There should be a recall so customers don't have a $1400 expense for replacement. Unable to upload video of very loud static noise.

As I’m driving screeching static noise coming from the inside of vehicle whether radio is on or off. Very disturbing. No warning lamps on car drives perfectly . Only problem is the noise which can cause an accident , gives me a migraine every time.

If the car is in the sun loud static noise blares on all the speakers.

My display screen (infotainment) that has almost all the setting to my car on it has been glitching every single time I drive my car. It has what is being described as "ghost touch". It will just flick back and forth between all different settings to my car, turn on and off the radio and go between stations, set destinations on my maps, submitting incidents on my maps, calling my contacts, requesting voice commands which lowers the fan speed on my ac and heat when doing so and numerous other settings including how my car locks itself, rear camera setting, audio settings, it is going through everything while driving and while stationary. I believe it is a major hazard, it as startled me so many time by just randomly blasting a radio station while im driving, messing with my navigation on maps while driving, I have been distracted so many times when I should have been focused on the road but instead I am trying to stop it from changing settings, calling people, trying to cancel routes its setting on my maps and ect. The problem is a "known issue" According to the Honda dealership I bought it from and took in to look at for repair. Also I quick google search of "2022 Honda Accord sport screen glitching" brings up tons of other people dealing with this same issue and there is apparently no fix for it. Honda said you can buy a new screen but it may still do it since there is no official fix for this. It drives me crazy to even drive this car and I commute to work over a hour and a half on highways with it freaking out the whole way most of the time.

While driving on the florida turnpike Friday 05/15/2026, sunroof spontaniously shattered. It was a clear day and no cars around me. I have paid to get it fixed but I believe this is a saftey issue and should be recalled and money spent reimbursed. .

The infotainment system does ghost touches and changes settings randomly such as tpms, airbag, and maintenance settings while driving causing major distractions by also turning on and off randomly increasing and decreasing volume settings.

My vehicle will not drive past 20 mph,it randomly goes into limp mode with traveling ! I’ve have it tested multiple times and no one seems to know what the issue is !.

I was driving on the interstate heading to work and suddenly heard an intense loud pop like a gunshot. My sunroof shattered right on top of me and all over the inside of my car. Thankfully I was able to safely pull off to the shoulder but it could've caused a serious incident.

Infotainment center: I am submitting this complaint regarding my 2021 Honda Accord sport and the ongoing issues I’ve experienced with its infotainment system. This problem has been persistent, unpredictable, and increasingly concerning from both a usability and safety standpoint. Since purchasing the vehicle, the infotainment center has repeatedly malfunctioned without any warning. The screen will freeze, switch from setting to setting, or become unresponsive to touch input. At times, it will randomly reboot while I am driving. These issues occur regardless of whether I am using navigation, bluetooth audio, or even when the system is idle. This also affects the adas, periodically, warnings will be displayed, and then not show up. What makes this especially troubling is how it affects my ability to safely operate the vehicle. For example, when the system freezes, I lose access to navigation directions mid-route, which forces me to either drive without guidance or attempt to troubleshoot the issue while on the road. Similarly, when using hands-free calling or music controls, the glitches can be distracting and require repeated attempts to regain control, taking my attention away from driving. I rely on my vehicle daily, and this ongoing issue has caused a great deal of frustration and concern. A modern vehicle’s infotainment system is not just a convenience—it is integrated into essential driving functions. When it fails, it directly impacts driver awareness and safety. I am requesting that this issue be investigated further, as it appears to be a systemic problem rather than an isolated defect. I hope that by reporting this, it may help lead to a resolution for myself and other drivers experiencing similar problems.

The sunroof glass of the vehicle literally exploded on me, while I was driving. Thankfully I had sunshades on which isn't very normal it just happened to be sunnier this morning driving towards work. I had this inspected at napleton schaumburg Mazda a dealership, and the point of failure was the vehicle. There were no cracked or any prior damage before hand.

Spontaneous explosion of sunroof. Today its about 85 degree f. The car was parked for a few hours in the carport. Took it out for a short drive. Approximately 0. 5 miles from my home, the sunroof exploded as I was accelerating from a full stop at a red light. It appears to have exploded 'up' (I have photographs), and the glass landed both on top of the car and inside my car. Approximately 15% of the glass separated completely (half on top of the car and half in the passenger area). I have scratches from the glass showering on me. This was completely without warning. I've maintained the outside of the car recently and there has been no damage up until this event.

Hello, I am having issues with the infotainment system on my Accord. It is suffering from the ghost touch issue. When this happens the car constantly makes an alert beep and then randomly starts going through the menus on the system. Here are a few of the issues that can result. Navigation changes or setting change, radio can change or even turn on or off or change inputs, the cars setting can change, it can start calls to any of your contacts including emergency #s. The only way to stop this from happening is to turn off the screen. However if the radio is on, you can not turn it off. This results in the driver constantly having to divert their attention to the radio /infotainment system from the road. It is extremely distracting and very unsafe. This is a known issue and there is no active recall. As far as I can tell this has not been fixed in replacements, simply a new version of the same radio is put into the car. I would expect that this has or will create accidents if is nor recalled. As these cars age, this will get worse for all of them. I did reach out to Honda and they informed me there is no recall. Please help keep people on the road safe!.

Supplemental restraint system problem warning light on.

Vehicle drove normally in the morning commute. In the afternoon commute it started normally and as I approached highway speeds the alarms started showing up. The brake, hill descent system, abs, critical failure. The vehicle started losing speed and could not accelerate. Losing speed at highway speed was alarming and finally all dashboard went red with alert to stop driving and engine heating warming. Speed was in the range of 35-40 mph on a highway rated 70 mph. I had to pull over and tow car to dealership.

The recall 25v-785 software update fix was attempted multiple times by the dealer and it continued to fail. It did not work.

My air conditioner evaporator core has a huge leak. Dealership told me they just go bad its not even 10 yrs old 2018 Honda Accord ex just go bad a hole ?? Honda extended the condenser warranty to the evaporated core but the dealership said no just the condenser I'm sorry. But you got lot people out here with just hole in there evaporator core this is not normal and to be told its 2800 to fix and could go bad again in 5 yrs . My air conditioner was fine in September 2025 now April 2026 a hole leaking ?????.

I took my car in because the electric parking brake warning appeared while driving. I also looked it up and saw many others were having this issue. So basically Honda charged me for something that’s an ongoing Honda issue and passed it off as a glitch and cleared the codes. Clearly Honda needs to recall the 2023 Accord because this isn’t safe and clearing the code isn’t taking care of the problem. Furthermore charging me for diagnosing this is completely wrong knowing this is not a problem only I am having. Honda needs a recall before there are serious accidents.

In 2018 Honda Accord with the 1. 5-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine that had a head gasket fail at 110k miles which has been diagnosed and confirmed by local Honda dealer with misfire codes/counts on cylinder 1 due to coolant leaking inside cylinder 1 and 2 due to this bad head gasket. Due to the bad head gasket and coolant leaking into cylinders, this caused the fuel injectors to clog and fail. Creating rough idling and poor engine performance, which could cause car to stall at any point, creating a safety concern for those in the car if stalled/stuck on public roads. While I was driving on the freeway one Sunday afternoon, the radio started making a static noise. It became very loud that I could barely hear the cars around. I tried to turn off the radio to no avail. I pulled over on the road side, turned off the vehicle and waited for a few minutes. When I started the car, the noise came back on even though the radio power was off. Since then about two months now, the same issue comes on especially when temperatures are high. Honda recommends to replace the radio. I believe this issue should be manufacturer's responsibility for a voluntary service campaign. It's a safety concern since you cannot control the radio once the static comes on.

My bluetooth would not connect to my infotainment system. My android auto then could not connect. I'm told by the Honda service tech that from time to time when the system updates we would need to do a factory reset to align the latest update with the phone. That's what I did, and the screen came on but said contact dealership. The screen was blank otherwise and had no power to it, not radio no system information etc, so I had no access to anything. On the dash it says system update unavailable and to contact dealership. I took in the car but they are still trying to diagnose. One thing did flash on my screen, code error variant 99.

I brought my vehicle to a Honda dealership for a safety recall repair (airbag/srs related). After the repair, the srs warning light appeared on my dashboard, indicating a potential safety issue with the airbag system. This issue was not present before the recall repair. It appeared shortly after the dealership completed the service. I contacted the dealership multiple times, but they have not responded or provided any assistance. This is a serious safety concern because the airbag system may not function properly in the event of an accident. I believe the recall repair was performed improperly, creating a new safety risk. I am requesting an investigation into this issue.

The rearview camera on my 2017 Honda Accord has permanently failed. When the vehicle is placed in reverse, the display activates and the yellow guide lines appear, but the actual camera image is completely cloudy and unusable. The camera appears to have an internal failure. The vehicle has lost the ability to provide a clear rear view through its factory-installed backup camera system. Honda has recently addressed similar rear camera clouding/water intrusion issues on other models. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether this condition represents a broader safety defect affecting Honda Accord vehicles.

The digitizer in my car's infotainment system malfucntions every time the car is on. It changes what is showing on the screen, what is playing from the speakers, etc. The system acts like a ghost is touching it. There have been times where I am driving and my navigation map is showing, but my screen changes to a different screen, or zooms out to a completely different part of the world, not allowing me to follow the navigation guidance and causing a safety issue. This used to only happen during hot weather, but now it is all the time. It gets worse with each passing day, making the system almost completely unusable. Sometimes the audio input will cycle between am/fm/bluetooth several times in a minute. It's frustrating and distracting while driving. It is a common issue I've seen in other posts all over the internet and is reproducible if inspected.

4 out of 5 times driving the car the infotainment screen with get random touches guiding you to unknown menus or system setting or maybe just to a different radio station. Where I think this becomes a legitimate safety concern (asside from changing vehicle settings like security) is when trying to use maps function the random touches will direct the map away from where you are or where your next turn might be. So you basically need to keep hitting re-center just to get you back on course. However most of the time there is an uncomanded touch that is stuck on the screen or possibly a number of touches that prevent a real finger print touch to be sensed ultimately preventing you from re-centering. This causes extended moments where attention is taken away from the road or late/last minute route correction causing unsafe road/driving conditions. The manufacturer only recommends doing a system restart of your infotainment screen which does nothing or complete replacement of the screen which in many cases including my own is not covered by warranty. . . . The alternative is to disconnect your phone from android auto or apple car play and use it in your hand which again causes distracted driving. If this was something as simple as a volume knob or temperature control not responding I wouldn't even be here but since it always touching different placed and navigating you places you dont want to be I see it as a clear safety issue that should be corrected. The factory audio/head unit system produces extremely loud, random static/white noise (described as explosive tv snow or screeching) that blasts through all speakers even when the stereo is completely turned off, muted, or not in use. The volume controls and power button have no effect. The only ways to stop it are to pull the audio fuse or turn the entire vehicle off. This occurs intermittently and unpredictably, often (but not always) worsening in hot weather or after the car sits in the sun. It is loud enough to cause ear pain, startle the driver, and drown out external sounds such as emergency sirens or horns, creating a significant distraction and safety hazard while driving. This is a well-documented issue on 2016–2017 Honda Accords (including hybrids), widely reported on owner forums, youtube, and other complaint sites. The failure is internal to the head unit (likely the amplifier circuitry or cooling fan). Honda dealers acknowledge it as a known problem but there is no recall. Temporary workaround is disabling the audio fuse, but this is not a safe long-term solution. I request that NHTSA investigate this as a potential safety defect due to the distraction and loss of audio control.

I am deeply concerned about my safety and the safety of other drivers due to a serious and worsening infotainment system malfunction in my 2022 Honda Accord hybrid. The system malfunctions spontaneously and repeatedly while I am driving, causing significant distraction and creating a serious risk of accident. Symptoms include the system switching between apps on its own, the radio turning on and off without any input, and the screen responding as if phantom touches are occurring. I cannot predict when this will happen and have been constantly distracted while driving. The problem first appeared approximately one year ago and has become significantly worse in recent weeks, occurring more frequently and more severely. The escalating nature of this defect is alarming and I believe it poses an imminent danger to myself, my passengers, and other drivers. This is a known defect. Honda has issued technical service bulletins on this infotainment system and faced class action litigation covering 2020–2022 Honda models with this same system. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this defect and consider a mandatory recall so that Honda is required to repair this at no cost to affected owners.

As soon as I got to work and put it in park I got a message on the dashboard saying “engine temperature too hot. Do not drive. Allow engine to cool”. No other warning signs were shown before this. I looked up on google what maybe it meant and to my findings it mentioned gasket and all I noticed recent complaints and claims filed with 2018 Honda Accords for a known issue with these Honda Accord sport 2018 models for blows gaskets.

I was told the best thing to do was report it here. Our son was driving his 2019 Honda Accord and suddenly everything on his dashboard lit up. Was told it is a blown head gasket. We were also told that the shop has had over 81 Accords in with the same issue. They said Honda is trying to sweep it under the rug rather making a recall. We were told this is what they see: the head gasket material between cylinders is very tiny, any minor disturbance will cause coolant to leak into the cylinder. Usually failures are happening between cylinders 2&3 where the material is the thinnest. 2) Honda is really trying to get a lot of power out of this small engine with the inclusion of the turbocharger. Higher octane fuels are needed to prevent premature detonation / knock, especially with forced induction (turbo charger). You can still run the car using 87 octane, but the chances of problems like a blown head gasket happening increase. 3) the head bolts that keep the engine head to the engine block are not strong enough. These bolts are torque to yield at around 50 ft lbs (if that). There have been instances where these bolts don't have enough clamping force to withstand the pre-detonation. This force causes the head to jump and the bolts to stretch. The heat from the combustion in the cylinder is no longer contained, which warps and damages the head gasket over time, leading to its failure. It was suggested to use arp studs which we were told are a higher quality than the oem Honda head bolts and have a stronger clamping force. Our son ended up stranded 3 states away with this issue that we then learn is very common yet there are no recalls.

Ssue: water intrusion into tail light assembly causing electrical and safety system malfunctions status: repaired at owner expense (~$800) concern: safety?related defect and potential pattern across vehicles description of the issue: my 2021 Honda Accord experienced a failure where water entered the tail light assembly and caused electrical shorts. This resulted in multiple safety?critical system warnings, including brake system alerts, abs/vsa warnings, and Honda sensing failures. The vehicle also lost acceleration and entered a reduced?power “limp mode,” creating a hazardous driving situation. The dealership diagnosed the issue as water intrusion into the tail light assembly. The entire assembly had to be replaced at a cost of over $800. After replacement, all warnings and drivability issues resolved immediately.
