37 Equipment problem of the 2017 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/01/2026

I have a Honda Accord sport. My vehicle does not appear on the recall website. I am having so many issues with my vehicle lately. The following lights stay on continuously on my dashboard. The tire pressure light, abs, tired skid traction, brake and steering wheel lights are on. I have tried everything to get these issues resolved and nothing seems to be working. I am thinking now that this could possibly be an electrical issue or sensor issue. I have replaced my batter twice, my passenger side window fell, and I had the motor replaced and it is still not working. My car stalls when I am driving, sitting still and when I turn the air conditioning on. I have had so many repairs done to this vehicle. The invoices will be attached to this as well. I have basically made the care new under the hood, and nothing is working. I need help to get this issue resolved as soon as possible. This is the only vehicle I have to get to and from work daily. Can you please, find it in your heart to help me.

38 Equipment problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/31/2025

The vehicle's infotainment system displays error code tt04 on every startup, preventing over-the-air software updates, including any potential safety-related updates delivered through this system. The tt04 error appeared immediately following completion of fuel pump recall service (NHTSA campaign 24v-763) on 4/12/2025. The vehicle exhibited no infotainment or telematics issues prior to this recall service. This suggests the recall repair procedure either was performed incorrectly or has an inherent flaw that damages the telematics control unit (tcu) communication system. When I returned for subsequent recall service (NHTSA campaign 25v-785), the dealer dismissed the issue as 'normal' and refused repair, only offering to address it after I filed a formal complaint with management. This pattern suggests dealers are aware this is a consequence of recall work but are systematically dismissing customers rather than correcting their errors.

Vehicle won’t start brake hold system problem, vehicle stability assist system problem, hill start assist problem, electric power steering problem collision mitigation system problem all appear on the dash but vehicle won’t start. Battery is not the issue, tested the battery it’s at 12. 5v. Hard reset the battery and jumpstarted but issue persist. Taking vehicle to dealer to diagnose issue but I saw lots of youtube videos and forums of people having the same issue but don’t see a recall open for this issue occurring.

40 Equipment problem of the 2020 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/23/2025

Honda Accords have a 1. 5 l engine, which all have an issue with the head gaskets either overheating or mixing coolant into the cylinders. They’re all doing it eventually because there is a design flaw Honda doesn’t want to honor it and the car will just stop on you on the freeway because coolant touches the spark plugs. Honda is denying the issue when there’s a whole facebook page and internet, page of people saying the same thing they’re quoting and unreasonable amount to fix it almost the cost of the car. It is a very dangerous safety issue and eventually someone could die and needs to make a recall immediately before that happens. Most shops don’t even want to touch the car because it’s a safety issue. If we can get this past ASAP for anybody who has that car or anybody that’s gonna buy that car the safety for them in their family.

41 Equipment problem of the 2016 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/22/2025

I have recently noticed my audio system has static even when it is turned off and when it's turned on, it get's worse. (the static noise is loud, it starts from the back speaker then works it's way to the front speakers) this just started at the end of December 2025 and it's increasing getting worse. I do not feel safe having my family in the car with me because the static noise is on going and can cause overstimulation. The only time I do not hear the audio static no more is when I completely shut my car off. I believe this needs to be recalled and fixed because this is a safety concern. I called Honda and they told me it's going to cost $205 dollars just for the diagnosed. This is outrageous. I have talked to other people I know and they have told me they are experiencing this with their vehicle as well.

42 Equipment problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/19/2025

Radio/infotainment system displays: please insert usb drive containing valid software license file and press ok. I do not have a software license. The dealer asked me on 12/19/25 to contact american Honda. I got a case # that day of #xxx and was assigned a case manager who then went on vacation from 12/25 to 1/5. I understand that. Since then, case manager and american Honda is not responding to my calls or jeff wyler Honda dealership in cincinnati ohio. The dealer said they need the usb with the license info. American Honda is not responding. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

43 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/19/2025

The a/c condenser on my Honda failed and leaked out all of the refrigerant, which subsequently caused the a/c compressor and related components to fail. This issue is well?documented, and Honda has issued an extended warranty specifically for the condenser due to its known defect. My vehicle was inspected by an authorized Honda dealership, and they confirmed that the condenser failed and that the resulting loss of refrigerant caused the compressor to generate metal shavings. These metal particles can circulate through the hvac system, potentially entering the cabin and posing a health risk to the driver and passengers. Despite the clear causal relationship and the dealership’s findings, Honda is refusing to replace the failed compressor and associated components, even though the failure originated from a part they acknowledge as defective and have extended warranty coverage for. There were no warning lights, messages, or symptoms prior to the failure. The a/c system stopped functioning without any advance indication, leaving me without proper ventilation and climate control. This defect raises both mechanical reliability concerns and potential health and safety risks due to metal contamination within the hvac system. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue further, as Honda’s refusal to cover the full scope of damage caused by their known defective condenser leaves consumers exposed to unnecessary safety hazards and significant repair costs.

44 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/10/2025

I had a coolant link problem they couldn't find or fix even after taking it in over 4 times ,how I have a blown head gasket ,also different components in my ac keep going out have had to fix 3 times in the last 3 years, both these are know issues for this year Honda.

45 Equipment problem of the 2020 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/10/2025

It is unknown what system failed. While coasting to slow for the stopped car in front of me, the car began aggressively accelerating without warning. Adaptive and standard cruise control were both off. Lane keep assist and road departure were also switched off. Due to the slick nature of the road, the acceleration left me traveling far too fast with little space to stop. After sliding to a stop, I was within a foot from the car in front of me. This failure very nearly caused an at-fault accident which there was nothing more I could do. Note that this happened roughly 40 mins into a drive, which was otherwise uneventful. No warning lights were present before, during, or after the issue. This car has been having phantom braking issues and power loss issues consistently since March and has spent significant time in Honda's hands for this issue. The vehicle has come to a near stop on the highway from the previous braking issues and has lost power, stranding me in traffic on a highway. It is suspected that the same system failure that caused those issues has come back up again. To date, thousands have been spent on repair "guesses" and tow bills with no end in sight to these safety issues. This vehicle has become a liability and, as a result, inspections are strongly encouraged. I have included photos of the floor mats as they were at the time, properly secured and not near either pedal.

47 Equipment problem of the 2025 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/06/2025

Scheduled a recall appointment to get 25v-785 fixed. Arrived at the dealer national city ball Honda at 0655. Walked inside service department for assistance. José rodríguez was already assisting another customer so waited until he finished. They walked outside, josé saw his buddy outside and greeted him with a handshake and a quick hug. They walked inside at which point I informed josé that I was the next customer which he said that I can wait and get help from another service member, josé friend told him to assist me first at which point josé still said that I can wait for the next service member. I told josé that I'm the next customer and want to be helped According to first come first serviced, I had an appointment for 0700. When josé finally decided to help he was already annoyed, but still going thru the motion to log my information. I brought up that it was rude of him to skip me for his friend. At which point, he acted like of I was yelling at him and told me that if I continued he will cancel me. I told him that it still was rude of him to try and skip me and if he wanted to cancel my appointment to cancel me. I drove 2 hours to go for my recall service and spend fuel and breakfast money to be canceled. I called ball Honda national city to talk to a manager and wasn't connected to one. I drive home without getting service. I'm expecting better service. Please help with this issue. Or can I file a lemon law regarding the 25v-785 recall not being fixed?.

48 Equipment problem of the 2017 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/05/2025

2017 Honda Accord touring model, once car heats up, radio begins to make a static noise that gradually gets louder until it gets to a point that is extremely loud. It is very distracting and damages hearing, making it difficult to drive, causing a serious driving hazard. It does not matter if the radio is on or off and turning the volume down does not help at all. Shutting the engine off and restarting the car is the only way to get it to stop.

49 Equipment problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/25/2025

Official complaint — Honda recall not being fixed subject: urgent safety complaint – recall cannot be performed by any Honda dealer american Honda motor CO. , inc. – customer relations I am submitting a formal complaint against Honda because I have an open safety recall on my 2024 Honda Accord sport hybrid and no Honda dealership is able or willing to perform the recall repair, leaving me driving a potentially unsafe vehicle with no timeline for resolution. Summary of the issue •I originally scheduled the recall repair with braman Honda of lake worth, and they canceled my appointment the day before, stating they could not perform the recall. •I then attempted to contact ed morse Honda, who did not answer multiple calls. •when I called Honda customer service, I asked to escalate to a supervisor, and was denied. •Honda assigned a case manager, but scheduled a repair appointment for me without confirming my availability, at a time I could not attend. •when I called ed morse Honda to reschedule, they informed me that they cannot perform the recall because the software required for the update is not working. •I was told to simply “wait,” with no timeline, no workaround, and no assurance of safety. Safety risk this recall involves a system failure that could cause the vehicle to stall or shut down unexpectedly. I am now: •driving a car with an unrepaired safety recall, •receiving warnings from my insurance company that the recall must be completed, •feeling unsafe and potentially liable for an accident if my vehicle fails due to Honda’s inability to perform the recall.

50 Equipment problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/19/2025

On 11/19/2025, while operating my 2025 Honda Accord hybrid, I experienced a sudden and total loss of power while the vehicle was in motion. Despite pressing the accelerator, the vehicle failed to respond. I noticed the 'ready' indicator disappeared on the dashboard, signifying a powertrain system shutdown. This caused me to lose control of the vehicle's speed and positioning, resulting in a collision. I believe this incident is a direct result of the defective integrated control module (icm) software identified in NHTSA recall 25v-785 (manufacturer recall tn2), which causes the cpu to reset and cut drive power during operation.

51 Equipment problem of the 2020 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/16/2025

Honda never contacted me about this recall or steps to fixing the problem to make sure my car was safe and running/working correctly. I would like the problem/recall to be fixed ASAP. I looked up my VIN on your website and this is how I even found out about this recall. Please help me get it fixed. Thank you.

52 Equipment problem of the 2025 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/15/2025

Sunroof explosion incident: I was driving east bound on the I-880 highway (in the direction to sacramento CA) between the columbus pkwy and hiddenbrook exits in the city of vallejo. When all of the sudden I heard a loud boom/explosion noise and heard glass drop onto the closed sunroof visor and flying hitting the rear of my car. I pulled off at the hiddenbrook exit. I saw a highway patrol officer at a stop sign and flagged him down. I explained to him what I experienced. He asked me if I saw anyone throw anything. I told him no. We both looked in through the opening where the sunroof glass was shattered and saw no random object. He then advised me to contact my insurance company to see what remedy they may offer. I called the insurance immediately after the officer and I departed ways.

53 Equipment problem of the 2014 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/15/2025

Power steering tpm s and traction control lights are coming on after putting in a new battery. This is a recall for 2013 to 2017 Honda Accord sport with cvt transmission and for some reason, my car is not part of the batch, even though it is experiencing this issue. I am assuming the issue is the battery management.

54 Equipment problem of the 2017 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/14/2025

This 2017 Honda Accord has recently been making very loud static noises from the speakers. It gets so loud and the only way to turn it off is to turn off the engine and restart. The static noise always comes back though, so this is clearly a safety issue. On youtube, there are many people saying this same issue. I cannot upload my video, so here is one example: [xxx] my static is twice as loud as the one on this video. Thank you. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

55 Equipment problem of the 2022 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/13/2025

I purchased a 2022 Honda Accord sport 2. 0 in 2023 with less than 100 miles at the time of purchase. To this day it has 15,005 miles, I comply with recommended maintenence, however the car has been trying to kill me. I purchased Honda care along with numerous other extended warranties. Mind you I paid for the entire car in cash. While driving, the car randomly slams on the breaks when no one is on the street and it also does in the middle of traffic. There have been several instances in which I have almost been rear ended because the vehicle slams on its breaks without notice. This happens even when the break assist is turned off. I turn it off everytime I start the car but it turns itself back on while the car is motion. One morning on my way to work there were no cars (5am), there was nothing in the road and the red brake dash light flashed then the car slammed on the brakes. I was traveling about 45-50 mph and the car abruptly stopped. I sustained multiple bruises from the seat belt shoulder strap and lap belt. I have previous chronic back issues that were aggrevated by this incident. I am still under a physicians care for my back issues (unrelated) but I do believe this occurrence aggrevated these issues even more. I did not want to make a huge deal out of this however the vehicle continues to slam on the brakes without notice and I am fearful that I will injure myself, my grandson, or someone else as a result of a defective vehicle. I took my car to Honda today 1/14/2026 and they were absolutely no help. There was no consistency when I was told how they could diagnose the problem & no time frame was given. There is nothing I could have done in order to make your automatic breaking system fail when Honda is the only one that does work on my car. I requested to speak to the gm curtis hensley and that request was ultimately denied. Honda care said the dealership could loan me a vehicle and the dealership said I had to rent it plus pay $180 diagnostic fee.

56 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/13/2025

I have a 2018 Honda Accord sport 1. 5 the issue started after getting my fuel pump replaced as part of the recall. While driving, all of the dashboard lights came on. Warning messages kept flashing on the dash. This car was driving perfectly fine before the fuel pump was replaced. When the codes are cleared, the car drives perfectly fine. The dashboard lights will periodically turn off but ultimately come back on and as a result, the car goes into limp mode. Coils, sparkplugs, breakers have been switched out and oil levels have been checked. When the car is scanned, the codes are reading a misfire with the coils but, the coils that are allegedly misfiring were just replaced. The car jerks while attempting to accelerate, and after a few miles, it goes into limp mode. I have tried every type of repair that has been suggested to me by the mechanic but the issues persist.

57 Equipment problem of the 2013 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/12/2025

Vsa modulator on Honda has failed. This is a defective part but Honda has not recalled. This is a vital safety issue and can cause brakes to lock. Honda refuses to acknowledge defect and will not replace the part free of charge.

58 Equipment problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/11/2025

I am reporting a safety-related issue on my 2021 Honda Accord hybrid involving a failure of the heating and climate control system. The vehicle is unable to produce heat or properly defrost the windshield, which significantly reduces visibility in cold weather. This directly impacts safe operation during winter conditions and should be considered a safety concern rather than a comfort issue. A Honda dealership diagnosed the problem as a heater core failure. The heater core itself is approximately $150, but the repair requires extensive disassembly and is estimated at nearly $2,000 due to labor. This type of failure should not occur on a vehicle this new. I recently purchased the car and do not believe this is normal wear or maintenance. Honda was contacted and denied goodwill assistance, stating they have no record of other complaints. I have since found similar reports from other Accord owners experiencing heating failures, particularly on hybrid models. This failure prevents windshield defogging and makes the vehicle unsafe for winter driving. I am documenting this issue with NHTSA so that the safety implications of heater failure on this model can be formally reviewed. I can provide the dealer diagnostic report, repair estimate, and Honda case number upon request. Vehicle details: 2021 Honda Accord hybrid ex VIN: [xxx] mileage at failure: 47000 date diagnosed: 11/13/25 location: salinas, CA please advise if additional documentation is needed. Thank you, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

59 Equipment problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/10/2025

This has happened out of the blue and randomly more than once recently. Loss of power/no acceleration. Once it had no acceleration when taking off from a stopped position, and then again it lost acceleration while driving at a speed of around 50mph the car would no longer accelerate, had to pull off to the side of the road and turned the car off and let it sit for a few minutes and then restarted the car and it resumed to function normally. There are no codes in the system, no warning lights, this has happened 4 different times now. Honda says they cant do anything if they cant make it repeat the problem when they diagnosis it and if the system doesnt have any active codes in it.

60 Equipment problem of the 2020 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/08/2025

All dashboard lights came on and car lost speed while I was driving on the freeway in traffic. I couldn't even use emergency lights. Lucky I didn't get hit and maybe killed. Thus had happened several times and after researching I see other people have the same problem.

61 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/07/2025

On Nov 7, 2025, I took my 2018 Honda Accord (VIN: [xxx] ) to "Honda of gainesville" (dealer #208034). 1. Recall negligence: the dealership performed unauthorized repairs on the vehicle's fuel system (alleged fuel injector failure). However, while the vehicle was in their service bay for fuel system work, they failed to perform or even disclose active NHTSA safety recall 23v-858 (fuel pump), which is open on this specific VIN. The dealership prioritized unauthorized, billable fuel repairs while knowingly releasing the vehicle with a mandatory federal safety defect still present in the fuel system. 2. Safety coercion: service advisor [xxx] used safety fear tactics to coerce the unauthorized work, claiming the vehicle was entering "limp mode" and would become inoperable/dangerous to drive. Independent diagnostic analysis (obd2) performed after the service revealed zero error codes and no history of the claimed failure. The dealership fabricated a safety hazard ("limp mode") to generate revenue while ignoring a real safety hazard (recall 23v-858). Associated investigations: a formal complaint regarding the unauthorized repairs has been filed with the florida dept. Of agriculture (case #xxx-xxx). Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

62 Equipment problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/07/2025

While I was driving my car on the highway doing the speed limit of 60mph my car lost complete power and lost speed to below 20mph and would not gain speed. I pulled over on the highway turned the car off and back on. It begins driving again normal. The next morning it was mis firing so I took it in to the dealer and this is what I was told after getting a diagnostic check: found cylinders 1 and 4 leaking coolant from the head gasket. I recommend replacement of the head gasket, fuel inejectors, and spark plugs. Head may need resurfaced. Included is also oil change.

63 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/06/2025

Evaporator for ac failing. This poses a risk for drivers not having property ac in different weather and is extremely dangerous with children. Issue was found by the Honda dealership. I brought this issue up with them on a previous visit after hearing a strange noise, said everything was fine then a week later it goes out and only blowing hot air into vehicle.

64 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/03/2025

On 11/3/25 Honda conducted the fuel injection recall fix. Prior to this, no warning lights were displayed on dash. 11/11/25 nine different warnings displayed on dashboard board. 11/13/25 at approximately 35mph the vehicle would not accelerate and the 9 warning notifications continued to flash. Cars had to go around me as I tried to find a safe place to pull to side of the road. I turned off the ignition. I took the vehivle back to the Honda dealership maintenance. My vehicle will be there till tomorrow. I was informed code p0304 was present. Prior to recall fix drivability was not a concern and and had no warning lights.

65 Equipment problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/02/2025

Head gasket blown at very low mileage. Roughly a little more than 80,000 miles on them and head gasket was blown. Car went to limp mode and caused a safety concern while trying to get to a safe location. The problem has been confirmed by a mechanic and all the lights on the dash lit up at once.

66 Equipment problem of the 2016 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/01/2025

Out of no where - the speakers start blaring this loud scrambled sound. (like a dead channel on tv. ) even when the radio is off. The speakers roar so load you can not concentrate to drive. No warning, just happens. I can go days/weeks without it happening, then boom - scare me so bad when it comes on out of no where. There is no rhyme or reason to when it will happen - could be driving slow or fast, could be hot or cold outside. Could be soon as you start the car or in the middle of driving after an hour. Thought it was a fluke but here were are - 2 months later and it's happened at least 5 times.

68 Equipment problem of the 2025 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 10/30/2025

This is the second time I am reporting this same issue with my Accord. I see there is now a recall but I need this to be on file as I can't continue owning this vehicle if this continues. This is a scary situation when you are behind the whell. On 10/30/25, I was 60 miles into a trip and the car lost all power on a major highway. While almost being rear ended by cars in the left lane, I was able to get to the shoulder. Dashboard lit up with numerous error messages. (see photos). I was able to shut the car down and restart. Upon restart, the brake system light stayed on the remaining trip 50 miles home. Brake system - brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer. I took it in for service and upon urging them that this was a bigger issue, they told me it was because I don't drive the car enough and it was a battery issue. Very frustrating.

69 Equipment problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 10/25/2025

I own a 2018 Honda Accord that was subject to a fuel pump recall. The dealership replaced the fuel pump in July 2025 as part of the recall. Shortly after the replacement, all dashboard warning lights illuminated. I took the vehicle in for diagnostic inspection and was informed that the fuel injector and head gasket had failed. The estimated cost of repairs is $5369. 69. I believe these failures may be related to the fuel system recall or indicate a broader defect in the vehicle’s engine or fuel components. I am deeply concerned about the safety and reliability of the vehicle, especially since these issues arose immediately after the recall repair. I am currently unable to afford the repair, and I fear the vehicle may pose a risk to myself and others on the road. This situation has caused me significant stress and anxiety. The unexpected financial burden has disrupted my personal and professional life, and I feel unsafe driving a vehicle that may have underlying defects. I am frustrated that a recall repair may have led to even more severe mechanical issues, and I am left without clear support or resolution. I had no choice but to pay for the repairs out of pocket, despite the financial strain. I am seeking guidance on how this cost might be recovered—whether through manufacturer assistance, warranty extension, or further recall action. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether this issue is connected to the existing recall or represents a wider safety defect affecting other vehicles of the same make and model.

70 Equipment problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 10/22/2025

When making a left turn, my car suddenly bucked up onto the air feeling like I ran over a big obstacle which was not the case. Car came to sudden stop and I was thrown forward over steering wheel. Thankfully no one was behind me or it would have been catastrophic. The first week I owned the car, when going through a car wash, the car started jumping up and down and wouldn't move forward. Had to back out of carwash. Dealer told me it was the collision mitigation system and to turn it off before going in. The "brake" light on dash periodically flashes when no cars are in front of me. I am truly afraid to drive this car which only has 5,800 miles on it. Dealer can't find a problem. I am turning off collision feature every time I drive, but what if I forget? I believe this is an extremely dangerous defect and should be looked into. It doesn't always happen, but when it does. . .
