My steering wheel was hard to steer at times. Mostly it felt like it would lock-up on its own. During driving. Whenever I notice a fluid leak in my driveway. I contact my local Honda dealership. Cause I purchased the car June 12, 2020. I had purchased extended warranty, to help pay for repairs. Honda dealership had to replace factory power steering pump and power-steering high pressure hose. Which cost me out of pocket of $ 1,365. 03. This item was not covered under extended warranty. I was told by the dealership, when purchased in 2010, there was a re-call on this item.

Issue with power steering rack and pinion leak. As part of power train, the rack and pinion leak creates safety issue while driving. Turning effects driving and pings, knocks are heard @ 52,000 miles. We have lifetime unlimited miles and years warranty from dealer. Warranty company and dealership parted ways so brandon Honda verbally refuses to fix problem. This should be a recall. Other Odyssey owners with this issue. Since it's not a recall, dealer should fix under our warranty. While sitting, power steering fluid leaks from rack and pinion. Seals/gaskets, whatever else reason for leak which is expensive to fix. We replaced a cv joint at our expense this year. All the steering and powertrain parts are listed under powertrain on Honda website's parts page.

Engine whines and shakes steering wheel. First at 70000 miles. Checked and added ps fluid. Worked for a while. 73k started again. Added more fluid. 75k replaced drive belt. 80k noticed increased noise (whining), but no shaking of the wheel. Brought into dealer and they said there are many issues with others and Honda extended warranty to 7 years, but no recall. Mechanic stated that at high speeds (hwy), ps pump seal could fail, leak and cause loss of power steering and possible safety issue. Called Honda USA and they said yes to warranty, but no to safety campaign- how can they be so irresponsible!.
