Prior to failure, the vehicle was hard to steer. I turned into a parking lot, and it sounded like a tire was blown out. The tires were fine, and as I started the front fell outwards and the tire fell sideways. Had it towed to the dealer, and an investigator from Chrysler is looking at it today.

When driving there is a grinding noise present in the rear. This is also causing vehicle to stop running. Dealer has replaced rear axle.
The rear axle has a egineering defect, admitted by Chrysler, that cause the transmission to slip at start and stop. They have said some cars have it and some don't. Mine does. The rental they gave me which was identical didn't have the problem. I have had it in 4 times in 6 months and they have finally told me they consider it "within limits" even though some of the same vehcile don't have the problem an others are really bad. I can't even resell the vehicle due to the problem. They "altered" my transmission where it attaches to the axle to "assist" the problem. They also "altered" the springs. I'm concerned what they actually did to my care and it's safety at this point.
