This car has had electrical issues from 2016 it's all in the carfax and it's caused me 2 accidents in less than 6 months and 1st was the car wouldn't stop like it's supposed to and it seemed like the assisted braking sometimes would kick in and out. . . Then 2nd one air bag deployed with airbag turned off.

Could be an issue with abs component. Car driving normally then when attempting to brake car slows but does not stop and driver needs to almost pin brake to floor to fully stop car. Car braking not acting as normal potentially putting driver at risk. No warning message. Car was brought to independent mechanic and they replaced rotors, pads and did system flush. Reason for report is in researching this issue I noticed there was a 2009 recall for the Murano with a similar issue. Not sure if this is just a part that is worn due to service or something similar to the 2009 issue. Issue happened again after the service described above but seems to DE driving normally at this time.

The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that upon depression of the brake pedal, additional brake pedal travel time would be required to stop the vehicle as the brake pedal would depress to the floorboard. The contact described the brake as feeling "spongy" upon depression and that no warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact initially contacted an independent mechanic who bled the brake lines; however, the failure persisted. The contact then called the dealer who linked the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 18v916000 (service brakes, hydraulic) however, the contact was given an estimate for a diagnostic. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and referred him back to the dealer for assistance. The dealer agreed to repair the vehicle under recall; however, the failure remained. The contact then took the vehicle to another independent mechanic who repaired the brake master cylinder and the brake booster; however, despite these repairs, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was called back and offered no assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that the brake pedal would intermittently depress to the floorboard without warning. The contact initially had a family member replace the brake master cylinder; however, the failure returned the following day. The contact then took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who recommended that the abs actuator be replaced. The contact then called the manufacturer and was informed that there was a recall on her vehicle for a brake fluid flush; and the vehicle was towed to a dealer. A diagnostic test was performed, and a brake fluid flush was also performed on the vehicle. The failure returned soon after the repair. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer and was informed that she had to pay a diagnostic fee to determine the cause for the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 110,300.

The brake pedal gets really stiff, hard to depress and the brakes gradually engage until they almost stop the vehicle. All the brakes get extremely hot when this occurs.
Abs actuator failed. In case of a sudden stop the anti lock brakes would not work the problem was confirmed after my brake and abs light stayed on after suddenly coming on while I was driving. I took it to the Nissan dealer dick smith Nissan columbia, SC 3670 ferandina rd. Phone 803-213-3802. Dwayne brown service mgr. Will confirm. Prior to this there was no confirmation of this part being inspected or replaced on my vehicle despite a recall on all Muranos 2015-2017 including my model 2016 Murano hybrids. See Nissan recall ntb 16-0886 Nissan memo pc482 Jan 12,2017. When contacted Nissan consumer affairs refused to cover my vehicle despite having the problem they had recalled prior. Case # 44822189 costing me $1417. 32 despite saying would replace free of charge in bulletin. Incident occurred sept 25,2021 and repaired oct !2,2021.

All of the safety lights came on including abs and awd sensor. I took my car to demaag GMC Nissan in battle creek mi and they said that the abs actuator is bad. I see that there has been a recall for this for the 2016-2018 Nissan Murano but they say that mine wasn't included and they told me that this was the issue. Why is it not included?.

The brake pedal has suddenly become very unpredictable. Sometimes when depressing it they start engaging where they normally would & sometimes you have to depress it all the way to the floor to get it to stop. My daughter informed me of the problem so I drove it to pick up pizza. When parking at the pizza place it happened to me. . . . . I jumped a sidewalk curb almost hit people walking on the other side because the brakes didn't engauge in time. My problem has not been confirmed by a dealer service center but the exact same problem is listed with the 2009 Murano & has been recalled because of a reaction with a metal plating turning the brake fluid to a gelatin solution after 10 years. This 2009 Murano recall was in 2019. My Murano is 10 years old now. & has under 80,000 miles & had new brake pads put on 15,000 miles ago even though they didn't show much wear. I live in a rural area & the closest Nissan dealer over 50 miles away so I can't just drop by a Nissan dealership. No warning lights have come on with this vehicle as of yet. This Murano is my 16 year old daughters & she is not very tall so she is not able to depress the brakes far enough to stop when this happens. I have had to park the Murano until we get this problem resolved. Please respond with how I can resolve this braking problem. Thanks.

For the second time my anti-lock brakes have gone out and the paddle for the break goes all the way to the floor. It barely stops and I'm afraid it's going to happen where it doesn't allow me time to stop. This should be a recall. From other complaints found on the internet many people are having the same problem.
Recently my 2007 Nissan Murano was dragging a little on slow speeds. I checked the wheels and found the driver's side rear brake had more brake dust then the other side. I pulled the wheels and found that the brake caliper was froze. I bought two "new" calipers and rotors and replaced them. I then used an air driven suction device to replace all the fluid in the system and bleed the air out of the system. When I started it up the brake pedal was very spongy so I brought to the local tire kingdom about 1/2 mile away and let them bleed it out. They stated that the master cylinder was now no good. I purchased a "new" master cylinder installed it, and re-bleed the system. The pedal was still dangerously spongy and low so on 06/14/202i the vehicle to the local Nissan dealer. After a few days they stated that the "abs brake actuator" was not functioning. I questioned why the abs warning light didn't come on and they didn't know. The dealer said the part was no longer available new so hey offered to get one from lkq scrap yard for $780. 00 and for $220. 00 more it would be covered for a year. I looked into the issue and found that the 2009 Murano's were recalled for this issue, so I inquired what year was the part coming out of. They didn't know so I got one on my own from the exact same vehicle and brought to them to install. A few days later they stated that the new "master cylinder" was defective. I went back to nappa auto and bought another one and gave to them to install and re-bleed the system. My question is a vehicle with an abs warning light a brake system warning light and even just a engine check light never came on, why not? the dealer has no answer for me and I am concerned that this will happen again and possibly at a higher rate of speed. Can you investigate this incident for me? thank you for your time and consideration.

I was driving at approximately 25 mph and my vehicle suddenly slammed on the brakes without warning. A red warning screen lit up on my dash. There were no pedestrians or other vehicles in front of me. Luckily, the car behind me was able to stop without hitting me.
Car started running rough, sluggish on going from still at stop to not wanting to go when acceleration should happen. Then abs light came on, followed by all the trouble lights on other side of panel. Car would only go about 5 mph. I turned car around and headed home, but it wasn't a smooth ride. I got up to about 45, but it still seemed sluggish and braking was stiff. This happened 2 years ago. Dealer said no recall for 2011, but previous and following years did have recall for this. About 2 weeks after we went to dealer and started a conversation with Nissan corporate, the car stopped having the problem and was fine fir 2vyears until now.
Brake peddle went to the bottom. There was no braking at all. Brakes did not work on 2/12/21. Pumped it a number of times, but still no brakes.
On Jan 21, 2021 I was driving our Murano and was in the drive thru line at the county health department parking lot, to receive my covid-19 vaccination. As the line moved, I slightly pressed the gas pedal moving slowly up in the line. When the vehicle in front of me stopped I slid my foot to the left to press on the brake. My foot slid behind the brake pedal and I was unable to apply the brakes. My rate of travel was less than 2 mph, I placed the transmission in neutral in an attempt to stop the vehicle. The vehicle continued to coast as I tried to remove my foot from behind the brake petal. Moving my foot to the right it hit the side of the gas petal (the vehicle was still in neutral). As I struggled to free my foot, I was finally able to do so. Unfortunately, my vehicle bumped into the car in front of me. There is no damage to that person's car, my car receives some scratches on the bumper. My concern is if this would have happened while I was traveling at a higher rate of speed. This incident could have been a lot more serious and even fatal. I believe I did nothing wrong and there should be no way a person's foot can slide behind the brake pedal. Then, they must struggle to free their foot.
My vehicle inspection report on 01/04/2021 recall advisory stated "your vehicle has one or more recalls". I followed all instructions and found that there is a problem with my nc valve.
My car is working perfectly fine and with oil change at Nissan dealer (30 days back), I found no issues. Today, while driving at 30-35 mph, the brakes pedal went all the way to the floor and car did not stop easily on the turn. I was almost going to hit another car but survived. There was no pressure in the break pedal at all. The same thing happened year or so ago but did not report the issue thinking this might be due to break pad etc. But it happened again and now I don't even want to take out car on the road. I called Nissan north America after reading same issues on internet and their response was plain - "there is no recall on this vehicle" and you have to check with dealer and fix at your own cost. My question is - if there are so many complaints on the same issue and have recall with same model for 2009, how come 2011 model is not on the recall? are there any #of complaints/accidents need to be reported before Nissan takes any action?.
While driving under normal conditions, 35-50 mph, dry, good, smooth, straight road conditions, I applied the brakes and the pedal went almost to the floor before the brakes started being applied. I have since learned of a recall for prior model years (18v916000) and subsequent model years of my vehicle due to abs problems. Part of the fix is to replace the dot3 factory-specified brake fluid specified for my vehicle with dot4 brake fluid due to corrosion of brake system components. I have determined that it is in fact an abs problem, as I can now skid the tires during heavy braking, and the anti-lock brake pump does not activate. The brake pedal travels about 75 percent of the distance to the floor before any braking of the vehicle occurs.
Took in my vehicle this morning to get 4 recalls fixed, and dealership stated they could only fix one of the 4 issues. Spoke to a representative and she stated the issues for the model of the SUV were not included in the VIN number, therefore the dealership couldn't assist with all 4 issues. The lights on the dashboard of the SUV are on and all pertain to the 4 issues not included in the VIN. How can I get these included in the VIN number so the dealership can fix the issues? the issues are as follow: NHTSA campaign number: 18v916000 NHTSA campaign number: 09v393000 NHTSA campaign number: 08v521000 NHTSA campaign number: 08v066000.
The abs actuator has been under recall by Nissan for certain models. After contacting Nissan customer service they have determined due to the mileage of the vehicle this safety defect is not covered under the recall.
I was driving 25 mph when the car automatic stopped and applied the automatic emergency brake (aeb) was applied with no obstacles around on a clear sunny day. Purchased the car new with only 3 miles on it. Car came to a complete stop. I am afraid for my safety. Took the car in to dealer and was told nothing is wrong with the car within 1 week it happend again and I was told by the dealer there's nothing wrong with the car.
Brake system brakes locked all 4. When I drive it sounded like rattling once I made it home backed up it jerked then call a mechanic and he said brakes are locked dnt drive.
Over the last year, for some reason the brakes pedal will go almost all the way to the floor when attempting to stop the vehicle. This happens from time to time and will cease after a few hours or a day or so and the brakes will return to operating normally. We have had the car (SUV) checked and inspected multiple times, and each time the mechanics cannot find anything wrong. I have read of other owners of the same make and year vehicle who have the same problem and have not been able to resolve it. In our case, we have not rear ended someone (yet), but it appears that others have come very close. We just took the car to the dealership two days ago and the issue reappeared again. While they had it, the brakes were working fine, after we got it home, it started happening again where the brake pedal went all the way to the floor, making it difficult to stop the vehicle. A few hours later, the issue disappeared and the brakes were working fine. Help please, before a family gets seriously injured or a family gets killed.
I have a 2018 Nissan Murano platinum awd. I will be driving on cruise control and it will turn off and the collision light lights up and car will come to a stop. The warning system gives a clue as to what is going on, it says radar obstruction. This happens at any speed, at random, with or without cruise control and has been happening many times a day for months, sometimes with the car behind me almost hitting my car because of the fault of the system. I took it to hgreg delray Nissan and they basically blew me off as if it wasn't an issue. The service manager actually told me to drive it and when the light comes on bring it back to him. They didn't even do a test drive! well, I left that dealer since they are unwilling to help out with what I think is a severe motor vehicle safety issue. I will continue my quest to get this fixed at another Nissan dealer. I have heard of a few people with the same issue having some success when the dealer has replaced the radar sensor.
Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Murano. The contact received a recall notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19v807000 (service brakes, hydraulic) however the part to do the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to youngblood auto group dealer, 3505 s campbell Ave, springfield, mo 65807, and was rejected to be service due to part not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and provided a case number. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirmed part not available. Aw.

I was driving the car and stopped at a red light. When I hit the gas to go when the light turned green the car would not go. It took about 20 seconds before it would go and when it did it acted like I had my foot on the gas pedal which I did not. It has done this numerous times. I replaced the fuel pump and took it to a mechanic twice. Nothing that has been done has fixed the problem. I have almost been rear ended several times due the fact that the car stalls.

Tl the contact owns a 2010 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that while her husband was driving and attempting to slow down, the brake pedal was depressed and failed to slow the vehicle. The brake pedal was pumped several times and the brakes operated as designed. The vehicle was driven back to the residence without further failures. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent and without warning. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact's husband was referred to five star Nissan (839 warren dr, warner robins, GA 31088, (478) 287-4510) for further assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was 99,000.
When braking hard the brake pedal softens and doesn't brake well it's dangerous and I was informed it was a manufacturing error. It happens all the time city highway pulling out of my drive way the vehicle can be moving or stationary this problem still occurs I was told it's the actuator and ecu antiskid. Part number 47660-1swoc supersession 01225-1aa6c;47660-1aa6b;47660-1aa6c;476601swoc.
Nissan preformed work on this vehicle for recall # recall 18v916000. A year later the same exact problem occurred and Nissan says we are now responsible for the bill because they only have to attempt to fix recalls once.
While driving down the highway with my infant child the vehicle lost power I could not accelerate went from 75mph to a struggling 5mph. No matter how far I pressed the gas pedal there was no acceleration no revving of engine just complete nothing just pure panic. I was able to pull off to the side of the freeway in a not so safe place however I had no choice. I out hazard lights on and turned off the car. After waiting approx 5 min. I attempted to start car to no avail. The battery light as well as abs light stayed on. I again waited for another 5 -10 min and tried again nothing but same warning lights. I eventually had to wait for approx 45-_60 min when it finally started however I was only allowed to go no fastethan 5 mph. I was able to exit freeway where I parked car for several hours and walked home. Upon retrieving vehicle it still had same results. I drove home @ 5mph. I took car in for repairs and was told I needed a new battery wiring harness. I had that ordered a d repaired. Car drove home just fine however the following day the same incident occurred. Took car back in and was told I needed a new alternator which I replaced. However the following day the same thing occurred. Upon driving car back to a major dealership to notify them of the same problem, however once in their parking lot the mechanic attempted to drive car into the service bay and car wouldn't start. Immediately the mechanic said " OH you hear that clicking sound?" " that's the starter you need a new one". I once again had them service my car and put in a new starter. Yet once again the following day the same problem. In all these occurrences the car had just out of no where with no warning lost power leaving my children and I in a potentially dangerous situation multiple times. The vehicle has been parked in my garage. I can't afford replacing parts just to have the same incident. As far as dates go there were multiple dates that the vehicle stalled on me and had no acceleration.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the brakes and battery warning lights flashed on the instrument panel and the vehicle stalled. The contact coasted to the shoulder. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not subjected to a recall. The failure mileage was 186,000.
Brake pedal goes to the floor before car will stop.
I was driving down the road at approx 35 mph when I pressed on the brakes they went to the floor. I pulled over on the shoulder to prevent a collision. After pressing on the brakes again they began to function properly. I was headed to pick up my grand babies. ( thank god they were not in the vehicle) after turning the vehicle around to head home. The brakes malfunction again. This vehicle is unsafe to drive. I have my Murano in the driveway. I refuse to drive it until it's fixed. The part runs around 2000. 00. This is crazy. I'm still paying for the vehicle and I can't even drive it. Had to barrow another vehicle just to get to work.
