Takata inflator maybe. In 2015 my vehicle was tboned by another vehicle, to where the impact even caused my car to spin, yet no airbag was deployed, even the police at the scene were wondering why my airbags did not go off. . . Fast forward to yrs later my car reads airbag error.

My vehicle has been just fine up until Saturday morning,12/1/2018 at approximately 10:30. As I was making a right turn I heard clicking coming from my steering wheel. Mind you I would here this clicking hear and there but figured maybe my steering column was getting rusty not know it was more serious until now. After I parked my car I received and air bag error. My car was apart of the takata airbag inflator recall and I got that fixed at the dealer April 2017. When I called the vw dealer near my residence, the service advisor ask I bring my car in to diagnose however from the sounds of it, appears to be a spiral clock spring issue. Of course being a female I had concerns and ask several questions goong back to the airbag replacement to see if it all tied in together. The advisor advised since the recall was a year and half ago this is a different issue but again would diagnose the vehicle first. Here's my issue. As I reached more, I noticed a lot of complaints and investigations related to the clock spring failure. There were recalls but my vehicle was not included. That is a huge problem and very concerning and poor judgement on vw behalf. Now I'm driving with a possible faulty airbag that was not really fixed, my horn does not work, nor any controls on my steering wheel. In my opinion I should not have to come out of pocket for such repair due to the lack of vw. Vw are putting people's lives at stake. I've has electrical issues now this. Not reliable vehicles at all. I hope someone can look into this matter and address it. Thank you for your time!.

Takata inflators were changed due to recall in Jan 2018. In April 2018 I heard a strange noise & then the airbag light came on. Then I realized that only info showing on my panel was the phone hookup, along with the airbag light. I checked the horn & that did not work either. After checking fuses we called the dealership & made an appt to have it checked. We are told it is the clockspring that needs to be replaced. Cost is over $500. We called Volkswagen customer service & they stayed we had the clock spring replaced in 2016 under a recall. However we have no recollection of this being done. This noise & then the clicking & other issues connected to the clock spring happened as I was backing out of a parking spot in a shopping area. This can be very dangerous being that the airbag would not deploy if & when needed. Also I was almost hit by a vehicle that decided to backup without looking & I couldn't use my horn to warn the other driver. Thank god he realized what he was doing. As for the dealership saying they replaced the clock spring in may of 2016, my question is why was that replaced then & not the airbags? also, being there was recall on the airbag & it was being done, why didn't they redo the clock spring. I love the Passat but I don't want to get in an accident because of shoddy workmanship! I noticed a lot of other complaints about the clock spring & would like to know why you are not taking care of this issue? I feel that Volkswagen is having its customers pay for the airbag recall labor being that the clock spring goes bad shortly after repairs are done to the recalled airbag.

Takata recall recall date is February 9, 2016 yet there is no remedy yet from Volkswagen. Thno incident occured but this poses a serious risk as follows should an incident occur: "in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. ".
Takata recall 69m9-takata dsi driver frontal airbag inflators : I wish to file a complain against the roseville Volkswagen dealer in roseville CA. This dealership has ignored 4 separate requests to replace and/or repair the defective takata frontal airbag inflators on my vw Passat VIN 1vwap7a36dc142243. This in in accordance with NHTSA 16vo78. I would like to request assistance from NHTSA to compel this wv dealership and/or Volkswagen America to replace dangerous frontal airbag inflator. I would greatly appreciate whatever assistance you can provide. Thank you very much indeed! fabian q. Generao e-mail: fqgenerao@att. Net.
"takata recall" my vehicle's driver airbag inflator needs to be replaced as part of the recall. I contacted a Volkswagen dealership and they stated that they will not repair my vehicle until I receive the official letter from Volkswagen. They also stated that given the magnitude of this problem and how many vehicles need airbags replaced, they cannot tell me when I will be able to get my vehicle fixed. They indicated that they are fixing vehicles in high priority zones first. However, just last month got around to sending out letters to allow vehicles to be repaired even though this problem was identified a year ago. It should also be noted that the vehicle is presently registered in a low priority zone. The problem with this is that it was purchased in a high priority zone and was driven there for several years. I can not turn this car into a dealership for a dealer trade in as dealerships do not accept vehicles with recalls. I can sell it in the state of CO independently, however, who would want to purchase a vehicle with a recall on it, that has no timeline available as to when it can be fixed. I feel extremely nervous with my 19 year old daughter driving around in a car that could potentially harm or worse kill her. I find it unacceptable that Volkswagen can not even provide us with a date in the future that they can fix the car. I can't even take it to a dealership for a trade in because dealerships won't take cars that have recalls that have not been fixed,.
Takata inflators I found out today at the vw dealership where I leased my car that my vehicle is under recall for takata airbags. I have a month left on my lease, and I was going to purchase the car. The salesman told me that " there isn't a fix yet". What does that mean? vw never notified me of the recall. I am very concerned because it is the driver's side airbag in question. I am on the interstates every week as I am in sales. What recourse do I have except not buy the vehicle.

Takata airbag inflator recall. Still no remedy has been communicated to me.
Takata recall NHTSA recall #16v079 still has no fix available from Volkswagen. The start of this recall was Feb. 9, 2016. In nearly 10 months no fix has been provided. The concerning part is the potential result in death of a life saving airbag actually deploying. This is the opposite of what an airbag should do. "in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants" vw and takata need to resolve this matter.

Takata recall, Volkswagen will not fix the recalled inflator on my 2013 Passat.
Takata inflators despite the fact that I received a notice regarding this recall months ago, there is still no available resolution. I feel uncomfortable, vulnerable and unsafe every time I get in my car. I do not allow passengers in my car due to this issue. Aside from the uneasiness I continually feel, this has created much inconvenience.
The frontal airbag inflators may release deadly metal fragments when deployed. Recall issued last February 2016, but 9 months later, there is still no remedy for this ticking bomb.
Takata recall. This vehicle is for sale at a dealership and the airbag inflator has not been replaced yet. It has been several months that the dealership is waiting for the airbag parts so the dealer can replace the airbag on the drivers side. I was interested in purchasing the car until I found out about the takata recall and the airbag has not been replaced. According to your nhsta statement, the airbag should be replaced in a timely manner. The seattle dealership is still waiting to replace the airbag which means it is not being replaced timely. They had no expected date for a new airbag to come in for replacement.
Takata recall- I received a recall notice in April 2016. I went to the dealer at that time and was told that the parts were not available. I called again and was told that the parts would not be available until after July 11, 2016. I just returned from the dealer, where they told me that they still do not have the parts. The recall notice states that an inflator rupture can result in serious injury or death. The Volkswagen dealer, Volkswagen of murrieta (California), refused to provide a rental car for use until the defect is repaired.

A recall for the front driver airbag inflator has been recalled on my vehicle. The recall was posted on February of 2016 has the manufacturer has not provided a remedy as of now. Due to this I am not able to obtain a city inspection required for my vehicle which in turn I am not able to work. When I purchased the vehicle the vw dealer told me the recall was fixed prior to me purchasing the vehicle. I am requesting a remedy for this safety issue immediately or the manufacturer to replace my vehicle that is safe for me to drive.
I received a takata sii driver frontal airbag recall notice indicating the the driver airbag inflator could potentially rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash which may result in serious injury or death. Vwoa does not have a solution or a replacement part for affected cars. I contacted my local dealership (santa barbara vw) and spoke to the service manager, steve ross about providing a loaner vehicle free of charge until the recall was resolved. The service manager refused to provide me a loaner and told me to call vw customer service. I spoke to eugene (5/18/16) @ vw customer service requesting a complimentary loaner (Honda is providing complimentary loaners) and he was not able to assist me. When I asked to provide evidence to support that the recalled takata airbag in my 2014 vw Passat was safe eugene at customer care was not able to confirm (asked him repeatedly) that the recalled airbag in my vehicle was safe even after I recited line by line, that the recall letter indicates that the takata airbag represents a safety hazard. I respectfully request that my local dealer provide me with a suitable loaner until this issue is rectified as it represents a clear and present safety hazard.
Takata inflators. I just received my recall notice from vw and here we go again with vw. I have a 2014 tdi, which is in litigation with the epa, value of the car has plummeted. Now I have this takata defect, which there is no fix by vw yet. Eleven people have been killed and they want me to continue to drive this loaded gun and make car payments. There is no ergency by vw based on the recall notice, since no vw's have been in an accident that the takata air bag caused a death per their letter, yet. What is your life worth???? lets play russian roulette. Want to play vw? I have a friend that had a 2014 accura SUV that had this takata inflators and her dealer called her in and made a great deal on a 2016, with no money exchanging hands, and keeping the same note balance and payments. What a dealership!.
Takata inflators I had received a notice from vw auto company in the month of March that there is a problem with the driver side safety air bag. Here is what it said "akata has reported that the driver frontal airbag inflator could potentially rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the frontal airbags are designed to deploy. In the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. " it clearly says that this issue might result in serious injury or even death in case of an accident. I drive my vw with my kids in it and god forbid, if something were to happen, is vw taking the responsibility for any losses incur? I am surprised no action has been taken as yet to fix this problem. I am scared to drive this car around now. The thought that anything can happen to my family members during an event has taken away the peace of mind from me. The least I expect from vw is to at least give a courtesy vehicle until they resolve this issue.

Takata recall I was notified when I went in to get my 30,000 mile maintenance done that a recall would soon be out on my vehicle. After doing research online I realized it was on the driver side airbag, with the description " in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants potentially resulting in serious injury or death". After speaking with 3 different representatives for vw I have come to find out that my car airbag is under recall with no part to fix it right now, and no time limit as to when it will be fixed. One of these representatives went on to tell me he "highly doubts anything will happen". He can not guarantee my safety when I am on the road and I do not appreciate him thinking he can. I am outraged by this because I drive a minimum of 60 miles a day to and from work and I am 6 months pregnant. I absolutely do not feel safe driving and they have no alternative. I can not believe I am still paying on this vehicle when a part is recalled with no alternative fix for the problem. I know of other vendors who have offered rental cars to their customers who have this same issue. . . Why is this not an option for us? it should be.
Takata inflators: my Passat is on the recall list but I have not received notice of repair from vw. Additionally, they do not have a start date for repairs even estimated. We live in a humid environment (houston, texas) and are very concerned why getting replacement airbags is not a priority given the region we are in.
I'm in zone a (or 1), texas and my car is a 2007, 9 years old and within the range that I've seen stated high risk but my car isn't listed in any of the priority groups for repair. According to this, priority group 1 is vehicles from model years 2008 or older that have spent time in a high absolute humidity region and have either a recalled driver-side inflator or recalled inflators on both sides. Parts must be on hand March 31, 2016, and repairs completed by December 31, 2017. Why aren't any vw cars in this list? (vw cars aren't on any priority list).
Takata recall to whom it may concern, on April 2016, I received a safety recall letter from Volkswagen regarding the safety recall 69m9-takata sdi driver frontal airbag. I called my local Volkswagen dealer and they said they still do not have the parts. On may 6, 2016, I called your customer care to express my concern regarding this issue. Today is June 20, 2016 and still do not have a letter from Volkswagen to fix my recall. I am very concern, scared and stressed about this safety recall. As it was mentioned in the letter, ¿takata has reported that the driver frontal airbags are designed to deploy. In the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. ¿ I have also read an event where a fatality accident of a young lady from this takata airbag. I am scared for myself and my children when I drive this vehicle. I am a single mother who purchase this Volkswagen knowing and trusting the name of the quality of this vehicle, but now I worry. I drive this vehicle every day. I only ask is to fix this recall as soon as possible. If the parts is truly not ready, at least provide us a rental car while waiting for it to be fixed.

Takata recall. As reported by takata, in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. There hasn't been any remedy or repair to this and there hasn't been any compensation or replacement of the vehicle which is only fair to ask. I am worried that something might happen and it would be too late to do anything about it. As a company manufacturing it, vw should provide us the sense of safety and protection. Also I live in CA, which is state that falls in zone a states with high temperature cycling and humidity and falls into a more risky group. So I need to feel secure in some way and vw is responsible for it.
