1 Loud Engine Noise problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban

Failure Date: 11/06/2017

Purchased Suburban from alm in union city on 10/05/17 on 11/04/17 the brakes started to make noise when coming to a stop. On 11/06 the brakes were making aloud scrubbing sound when stopping had to get brakes done and when the mechanic saw the rotors they were rusted and also needed to be changed but he couldn't due to the condition they were in made it impossible returned to alm on 11/7 for them to do the I owe work and I was told they would check the rotors it never happened and was there from 10am til 7 pm. I spoke with the service manger and he was going to call back to set up another appointment. On 11/9 the engine oil light came on saying engine oil low add oil 48% remaining. Put a quart in and made appointment at superior chev to have oil changed. At that time the technician said there were quite a few recalls so just make another appointment and have oil change and recalls done however he proceed to check the oil and even with the quart added the dipstick came back dry. Shocked not wanting to believe that alm had not only fail to fix the brakes they didn't even change the oil, brakes are a safety issue cars go through a pid and things of this nature are corrected before putting into inventory. My family and I could have been seriously hurt due to the negligence of alm. I had not even reach the first payment and all this happening. And the service manager never called back . I hope that atlanta luxury motors will be investigated about what they do prior to putting cars in their inventory and people come in trusting that they are safe when financing a automobile and have to pay 5yrs on and it starts off with safety issues. There is no way they could have done pid or they did and just ignored what they saw. I realize the Suburban was used but safety should be a concern of the seller as well as the buyer.

The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban. While driving 35 mph, an abnormal noise was heard coming from the engine and the oil gauge displayed zero. The contact was able to pull over on the side of the road to check the oil level. The contact discovered that there was no oil in the engine, but the digital display read 13% oil. The contact added oil to the vehicle and drove to a dealer where it was diagnosed with an oil consumption issue. The vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive. The contact was informed by the service technician that the engine needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and filed a case. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was 117,000.

3 Loud Engine Noise problem of the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban

Failure Date: 07/04/2003

I was driving and my vehicle (1999 Chevrolet Suburban 2wd) made a loud noise and vibrated for a few seconds, my check engine light came on and my vehicle would not shift into second gear until I let off the accelerator. I took my car to an automotive shop where the hooked up a machine to see why the check engine light had come on. The machine told them it was my transmission shift silenoid. When I went to leave in my vehicle from the automotive shop it would not go into reverse. I then had to take it to a transmission shop have an expensive complete transmission overhaul on a vehicle with only 97,000 mi. I shopped around at several transmission shops and was told this was very common in chevy/GMC Suburban's and trucks made from 1997-2000. If this is the case, why isn't gm recalling the vehicles for repairs?.

Failure Date: 04/01/2003

There was an engine knocking problem. The dealer and the manufacturer were contacted. The consumer was given a letter that certified that the manufacturer was aware of this problem, and the vehicle was okay to drive. The consumer disagreed, and felt the vehicle was not safe. There was a noise, rubbing sound when the brakes were applied. There were knocks during the initial start of the day, and the window was noisy while operating as the regulator cable was loose.
