Front brake rotors warped, and were replaced within a 8,000 to 10,000 mile period, cause unknown.
Reference voq #854737 where my supplied information was incorrectly recorded. While driving and when braking, the vehicle pulls left (into oncoming traffic) the severity of the pull to the left is directly related to the measure of the braking and vehicle speed (e. G. Low speed with light braking = moderate pull to the left and higher speeds with firm braking = extreme pull to the left). The Ford dealer has turned all the rotors, replaced a brake line, replaced the pads, realigned the vehicle at least three times, replaced the camber bushings twice, once with Ford factory parts and the last time with after market parts (non-Ford adjustable camber bushings). Reference electronic dealer service report, edsr#17584 generated 05/11/99 by the master technician at joe cooper Ford.
Brakes/rotors: the front brake rotors are cracking which is causing the front brakes to lock up. Three sets of brakes have been installed since purchasing this vehicle in 1996.

The rotors warp at 12000 to 14000 mile increments. The dealer will only turn the rotors and not replace them till the minimum tolerance is reached. I understand that there are new heavier rotors, but Ford refuses to replace rotors inpick-ups sold prior to Mar 99. , this is a engineered safety defect and I want some type of permanent fix. Thank you.
When braking, the vehicle vibrated violently in the front. Dealer was notified and relaced all 4 rotors, 10,000 miles later problem reoccurred. Please any additional information.

Severe steering vibration on braking. Reported to dealer 4 times. First time, turned rotors. Second time, replaced rotors. Third time, deglazed rotors. Fourth time, no action. Told it was the abs system and would meet with Ford factory rep. Still waiting.
The front brake disc rotors have cracked all the way to the hub. When applying the brakes the pedal vibrates. Dealer has replaced both front disc rotors.
Brake rotors have been replaced 6 times and they still warp after about 8ooo miles.

Vehicle had problems with the brakes. The brake rotors warped every 20,000 miles. It was also discovered that the ball joints were loose when the vehicle was being repaired. Provide further details. Mechanic also found that lower ball joints where loose.
Brake rotors warped at 2000miles. Dealer turned rotors and would not replace.
When braking at any speed vehicle vibrated in the steering wheel. As of may 5, 2004 vehicle is being repaired the third time for brake rotors.
Brakes vibrate at various speeds and braking pressures. Problem started at 12,000 miles. Acts like a rotor problem.
Vehicle fails to stop properly when brakes are applied. Would shake and vibrate badly. Took vehicle to dealership, mechanic noticed rotors were warped, which caused the braking problem. Had them replaced after 10,000 miles. Engine stalls and oil leaks from the turbo into the inter cooler. Transmission does not shift. Tires began to bulge out, consumer did not specify kind of tires. Electric window motor failed. Seals are out on the front axles and they were just replaced two months ago. Air filter system is inadaquet for this size of engine and has to be replaced every 2 to 3 thousand miles.
