Ford F-250 owners have reported 3 problems related to power assist brake vacuum hoses, lines/piping, and fittings (under the service brakes category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The vacuum hubs on a Ford f250 are stuck in the lock position. Makes truck jump from one side of the road to the next. I have to fight the steering wheel to stay in my lane. It started only when I turn sharp it would stick then brake free after a I stop , and now I can't even drive without going from lane to lane. Bought new hubs that are not vacuum hubs ones that are 100% manual.

The contact owns a 1996 Ford F-250. While driving 65 mph down a hill, the vacuum pump failed when the brakes were depressed. The contact stated that he drove through a red light and could not stop the vehicle. The vehicle finally coasted to a halt. The emergency brake did not work either due to the weight of the boat that the vehicle was pulling. The contact replaced the vacuum pump. The dealer and manufacturer have not been notified. The purchase date was unknown. The current mileage was 115,000 and failure mileage was 71,000.
