7 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 2005 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 02/08/2007

I was driving about 55mph and heard a beep, looked in the dash and saw the engine went into a "fail safe mode". The car slowed down and jerked and slowed down quite a bit. Went to the dealership and could'nt find anything wrong w/ it. It started happening more often, so finally found a mechanic that was able to diagnose and fix the problem for $800. I saw in the paper that a few toyotas had this problem and wanted to let you know it happened on a new Ford Mustang as well. Also, whenever it rains, (the same car) leaks water into and puddles up under the passenger's seat. This has been a problem from the beginning of purchase. I don't drive this car in the rain because of this. I have talked to other Mustang owners at the oil change facility, and they said they have the same problem. I really don't understand why there has not been a coulpe of recalls on the 2005 Mustang gt. I waited a long time to get my dream car and paid a lot of money for it. If I'm not the only one having this problem, I would think the Ford company should take responsibilty and fix the problems. 8 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 2004 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 03/14/2005

The consumer states that 2004 Ford Mustang was having mechanical problems. The transmission fluid was gushing out and the vehicle was taken to a dealership for repairs. The dealership fixed the transmission fluid problem. The next problem was oil leaking. The vehicle has been in the dealership twice for repairs and it was still leaking oil. The owner contacted Ford for help. Ford had the car taken to the dealership that Ford recommended. The problem is still not fixed. The dealership says that the oil is leaking from the engine. The transmission had to have a seal replace a line, and the engine is still leaking. The owner says that he can not drive the drive because it will blow up the engine. The owner refused to drive the car when he found all these problems, so he didn't burn the car up. There have been two different dealerships that have worked on the car. The owner said that the dealers had claimed to fix the car, but did not fix it. The car also has had a tire problem that the owner had to replace. The dealership said that it was wear and tear. The car has less than 800 miles on it.

9 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 2001 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 04/15/2001

When decel & downshifting, the engine has died on me 3 times. Dealer cannot duplicate problem, no error msg. When engine dies, loss of power steering and all control of vehicle. Should not stall at 50+ miles an hour and only 7k miles on the engine. I have heard of numerous people with this same problem on 99 and up Mustang gt's. My engine was also leaking oil from the engine intake valve, so Ford has decided to give me an entirely new enine. However, it is yet to be seen if this will fix the stall problem. This is very scary, considering it happened to me in the rain the last time. I could have easily slid into another car if one had been near me. Please do not let this problem go unnoticed. Thank you.

12 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 1999 Ford Mustang

I took the car back to the dealership 2 days after purchased and asked for another car the car's doors were out of line there was paint missing the windsheld had a crack on it from the factory. I always changed my oil every 3000 miles and the guy would ask why it was low but, said it wasn't dangleous low so I thought it was normal. Come to realize it was using oil. Now the top is leaking. All I wanted was for them to get me another car from day 2 and they said it was mine it had already been titled to me and would cost me to get into another car. The dealership wouldn't call me back after I informed them of the problem after a month I called them back and asked when they was going to fix my car, I felt like they had sold it to me now it was my problem and it has been a big problem since I got it. This was the 3rd car I had purchased from this company and that didn't matter. The heck with you its yours is how I felt they were telling me. I have been trying to get them to do something for a year and a half telling everyone I know but, I can't seem to get anywhere. If you know someone who can help with this problem please call me. I don't want this to happen to anyone one else. I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone!!! the car was sold to me new but, it had almost 200 miles on it . There two slips in my car where a girl had driven it on 2 seperate times. If anyone can help please call me 336-681-0224. I don't know where to turn.
