The vehicle involved is a 1998 Chrysler Sebring. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is 4C3AU52N4W_. Wheel hub bearing on left rear wheel went bad. My mechanic said that these parts should not go bad until I reach at least 80,000 miles on my car. His comment was that the part must have been defective from the start. My complaint about the molding: I took my car to an automatic car wash and it came out with a bent molding which the Chrysler dealership said had to be replaced and could not be fixed. They encouraged me to get the money from the car wash, however, when investigating they determined that the molding on my car was loose on the other side and the car wash could not be at fault. This was $200. 00 out of my pocket for a poorly assembled car. It was Sep. 25, 2001 when this multiple axle suspension issue happened.

I believe part was faulty as their is a TSB 02-07-97 on this part. They are aware of the problem but will not provide any assistance (both the dealer and the company was contacted). They claim "out of warranty". The warranty clause should not matter in this case as this a known problem - it should be a recall!!. The vehicle involved was a 2001 Ford Windstar. The VIN of the car is 2FMZA514X1_. On or about December 15, 2007 my husband noticed when he hit a bump in the road the rear end of our 2001 Ford Windstar lx felt loose. We thought the shocks were starting to ware. On December 20, 2007 my husband started on his way home from work around 3:30 pm he headed south on i55 out of chicago and reached our driveway in the southwest suburbs approximately 5:00 pm. At 5:30 p. Our family with two children got into the van to go christmas shopping. As we were pulling out of the driveway the van jerked and screeched. We thought we hit someone that had parked behind us. We jumped out to see what happened and noticed our rear tires looked funny and the back end was really low. When we looked under it we saw that the axle was broken in two. It had just snapped. If this had happened a half hour earlier this would have happened on the expressway in rush hour traffic and I hate to think what would have happened, or 15 minutes later when we were on i355 going christmas shopping with our children. We were more than happy to have this happen in our driveway but this is our only vehicle and we don't have the 1000. 00 it will cost to replace the part. The van is no longer under warranty, it has 72,915 miles on it. How inconvenient!. This multiple axle suspension issue occurred 12/20/2007.

I have a 2003 Saturn Vue awd v6 VIN 5gzcz63b33s874854. When I had bought this vehicle there was a popping sound in the front drive-train while turning at any speed. I was about to purchase another Vue from a used car dealership, but upon reading the car facts report it was a 'factory buy back' for an un-fixed popping sound in the front end subsequently I did not purchase this vehicle. The other day I was out fishing down a dirt road I had passed my favorite spot so I had to make a 3 point turn on the uneven road, I turned the wheel all the way to the left and the front left tire went into a pot hole, I put it into reverse giving it gas while turning the wheel to the right and heard a sound pop!-cruuunch! after a quick field inspection it looked like the cv boot came loose and lost all the grease . So I drove it real slow back home and after taking the tire off I saw that there was metal shavings, bearings, pieces ect. On the front left axle. Saturn told me they would take care of it through the warranty an I am still awaiting the return of my vehicle. It is to my belief that this is an often occuring problem. Should this happen to someone who did not realize the seriousness of the problem death could result from hard braking or evasive manuvering with this existing condition to the axle. It was 07/02/2005 when this multiple axle suspension issue happened.

The vehicle involved was a 2003 Toyota Tundra. The car had a crash. The VIN of this Tundra is 5TBBTT4512_. While towing a small trailer the front end of the vehicle started floating and became impossible to control. As a result the truck went out of control and flipped over causing over 10,000. 00 in damages to the pickup. It was a bout a month or two after this that we received the recall on the front ball joint. Even though it was supposedly fixed??? it still continues to have problems. I have contacted the insurance company and they had never heard of the recall. I think Toyota should stand up and do the right thing and give us a new truck that doesn't have potentially fatal recalls. Or maybe a class action legal response may be in order? I am contacting a lawyer ASAP I broke both wrist and cannot use my right arm now as a direct result of irresponsibility for this not being done right. If anyone else is interested let me know. Email me at the very least the dealer who sold us this vehicle should be liable for stating there is "nothing at all wrong with that truck" it is in perfect condition. What all that knowledge the pretend to posses about vehicles and they are not intelligent enough to check for recalls prior to reselling them to their "valued customers". This issue happened on March 19, 2006.

The vehicle is a 2002 Volkswagen Passat. The VIN of the car is WVWVD63B22_. I have my oil changed every 5000 miles as suggested. At 48,880 miles my oil was changed with know problems. At 53880 miles my oil change again. But at this change I was told that the front axel boots were cracked and needed to be changed. I asked since it was just 3,000 miles past warranty if this would be covered. Both the dealer and volkswagan said no. I had the axel boots fixed. But after speaking to many people no one has ever heard of axel boots breaking at 53,000 miles. I believe this must be defect with the car, since both axel boots broke at the same time. This problem occurred on 04/26/2005.
