car   Front Suspension problem of Chrysler Town & Country

The vehicle was a 2006 Chrysler town and country. I drove my van to work. Parked it in the parking lot just like any other day. There were absolutely no problems prior to this issue. When I went to leave in my vehicle on my work lunch break, my van wouldnt move. The front driver side suspension spring broke while the van was sitting in the parking lot. I researched this issue and found it to be a commom problem with some Ford models, however have not found anything similar in Dodge or Chrysler vehicles. My van currently has 49,000 miles on it and really should not have had this issue. I am very lucky that the spring did not break while I was driving to work. The van was towed to a local repair shop and will be fixed tomorrow. This problem occurred on Monday, Jun. 20, 2011.

car   Front Suspension problem of Honda Accord

The vehicle having this issue was a 2003 Honda Accord. Since the purchase i’ve experienced continual transmission problems. Upon speaking with the dealership I was assured all was fine. You can imagine my surprise when I received notice of the transmission recall (NHTSA 04v176000). Upon repair, in September 2004, I did not notice repair improvement, and continued to detect the rough grind of transmission shift and a whining sound. In 2009 I experienced a catastrophic transmission failure to which I had sought repair. In December 2010 I experienced another transmission failure. I have just now experienced my 3rd transmission failure, July 2011. My power steering pump had always had a faint whine, but Honda services never identified it as concerning. The problem progressively became worse until Honda finally suggested a repair, but informed me that the component was then out of warranty and would be a costly repair. I decided to delay repair until June 2011. Ac problems manifested in September 2005 and required replacement in April 2008. My center council clock and temperature display has been flickering, dimmed, and absent since 2009. The interlock stuck issue first materialized in 2008 and serviced in July 2010. My airbag warning light has been active since 2008 with an occasional but repetitive tcs alert; and my headlamp glass has been hazed since 2005. The paint deterioration is ridiculously embarrassing, the leather seating began showing wear 2 years in, my seatbelt doesn’t return to the original released position, head liner has water leak stains, cd player stopped working, exposed wiring is visible at the driver door hinge, i’ve gone through 3 batteries, countless tires, one cracked windshield, and I have always suffer from poor radio reception and occasional navigational signal roaming issues. In these times of thrift conscious fuel consumption, I utilize my nav tools to monitor my driving activity. I’m stunned to report I get a fuel economy of 24 mpg highway, not the 31 mpg as sticker reports. It was Wed., Jul. 13, 2011 when this front suspension issue occurred.

The car is a 2008 Infiniti G37. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is JNKCV64E18_. Vehicle pulls and jumps all over the place, this is so pronounced that the vehicle is unsafe to drive on most roads. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer 3 separate times for this issue, on each occasion they have performed an alignment but it does not solve the problem. On the fourth visit to the dealer an Infiniti representative looked at the vehicle and declared that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle but confirmed in writing that the vehicle does indeed exhibit this behavior. Additionally, the vehicle will occasionally have a completely unresponsive throttle and when I try to accelerate - the vehicle will just sit idling, this has become even more common since the last visit to the dealer (the dealer reprogrammed the ecu for reasons that still have not been made clear to me) concerning the above issue. This problem occurred on Apr. 8, 2010.

car   Front Suspension problem of Infiniti G35

The 350z has a very widespread problem that is similar to this, and as the G35 coupe and 350z share many components, including suspension, I am led to believe there is a reason for the similarity. This issue happened on Monday, June 20, 2005.

car   Front Suspension problem of Lexus RX300

I purchased used 1999 Lexus Rx300 in 2008 and so far I've had to replace the transmission due to unexpected catastrophic failure, both air ratio sensors, both knock sensors, oxygen sensor, front strut mounts, and now possibly have to change the transmission again (not shifting correctly). I was not aware that the 1999 to 2001 Rx300s were so problematic. Since this is my only vehicle and I am still making payments on it, I am stuck footing the bill for all these repairs. Which from what I have researched are attributed to bad engineering. I am constantly having to repair a vehicle which is supposedly known for quality. The problems that I've mentioned are just the major repairs. I have other minor issues such as rear power window must remain locked or it opens on it's own, dashboard lights do not illuminate, and power roof gets stuck open intermittently. car   Front Suspension problem of Mercedes Benz 300

The car is a 1999 Mercedes Benz 300e. 1999 Mercedes Benz e300td faulty upper coil spring support design. My vehicle was parked in a grocery store parking lot when the left upper spring mount simply collapsed. The car dropped down and the coil spring fell off. It had to be towed to a repair facility as it was rendered inoperable. Moments earlier I had been at 70 mph down the highway. I feel extremely lucky to be alive! had this happened while I was traveling an accident investigator would be filing this report. I did nothing unusual to cause this event. The vehicle has about 151,000 miles on it and these vehicles are claimed to be able to last for 400-500,000 miles. I have read on the internet that this a common problem with this vintage of mercedes vehicles. Looking at the design, the material has no corrosion allowance for a part that is located in an area that is subject to a damp environment. It is extremely thin and the method of attachment encourages rusting, exacerbating the problem. For me, the consequences were inconvenience and financial loss. Others may not be so fortunate, and that is why I bring it to your attention. Many others have also complained to you regarding this situation. I had the vehicle repaired and drove it home, as I was 900 miles away when this happened. I have the old part in my possession and am proceeding to replace the right side bracket as a precaution. Please act on this complaint before someone is killed. This front suspension issue occurred Saturday, August 13, 2011.

There is an continuous vibration and shimmy in the front-end and steering wheel of my 2010 Subaru Outback that since new (oct 2009) has not been able to be rectified by Subaru mechanics, even with cooperation by Subaru of America. This vibration can sometimes be dramatic through the steering wheel at highway speeds, and causes erratic drivability, especially in adverse conditions. This vibration may also cause premature wear on front tires, steering and suspension components that could lead to failure and injury, especially at highway speeds. In fact, Subaru initially blamed the tire manufacturer - continental - for the issue, stating the tires were defective, and had continental issue replacement tires for my Outback. This did solve the problem. If this problem is researched on popular and respectable automotive web sites, one can find that it has been affecting a considerable amount of 2010 Subaru Outbacks and to date, no owners have had their issue resolved by Subaru of America. Many other owners reported Subaru of America replacing what were considered "defective" continental tires, with another set of exact tires from continental. I am worried that this issue is not getting enough exposure and may take an unfortunate accident for anyone to seriously take notice. I have a customer service case open with Subaru, but it is evident from my repeated conversations with them that they are being evasive with where they are in fixing this issue, and I have now become deeply concerned for the safety of my family. They want to try another 'fix', but that will not be until mid-March, with no guarantee of resolution. This is a brand new car with only 6,000 miles on it, and I have been thoroughly disappointed with the issues it has had. This vehicle was heavily influenced by Toyota, who owns a considerable percentage of Subaru. . . If this says anything. This front suspension issue occurred Monday, Oct. 12, 2009.

car   Front Suspension problem of Subaru Outback

I purchased a Subaru Outback 2. 5i premium (manual transmission) on 03/15/2010 and noticed moderate to severe steering wheel and front driver's side wheel vibration above 40mph on the second day. I subsequently checked tire pressure on all four tires, gave the car some time to "break in", and tested various road conditions and speeds to determine if the problem is more pronounced under certain conditions. The vibration can be felt at speeds above 50mph on the front driver and passenger side floors, seats, and in the steering wheel, with the intensity increasing with speed, regardless of road smoothness. After the car didn't self-correct, I scheduled an appointment at the dealership for 04/26/2010 to do an initial/routine check of the car. They rebalanced all four tires and said that should fix it, but asked that I advise any future issues. The vibration remains, but at speeds above 60mph (a mere 10mph increase) from both the steering wheel and tires, and - as before - is increasingly noticeable at higher speeds and during rain/wet weather. I called the dealer and have scheduled another appointment to address this vibration issue. I will post a follow-up once this service is complete. This problem occurred on Mar. 16, 2010.
