I have had to replace the wiper motor in this vehicle twice so far and now it has malfunctioned again and I will now need to replaced it again. That makes four wiper motors in one car. Ford disavows any responsibility for this in my Windstar, even though it has recalled this motor in other 2000 Windstar's. I don't understand why they won't be responsible for mine. It does all the things listed in the recall of 2001, loses intermittent, fails to work at all, turns on when I have it is on "off," and once, it even caught on fire when it was turned off and not in use. Needing 4 new wiper motors in one vehicle is clearly a design or manufacturing problem. This vehicle clearly should have been included in the 2001 recall for this very problem. How can I make Ford take responsibility and fix this repeated problem once and for all? thank you. This problem occurred on Thu., Jun. 1, 2006.

The windshield wiper speed on my 2005 Subaru Legacy wagon is marginally adequate in very heavy rainstorm conditions. This condition was reported to my dealer service center, who admitted that other customers have voiced similar concerns. The dealer verified that my wiper blade speed is normal for that model. The wiper speed on the high setting is 10 cycles every 10 seconds. When compared to my 2003 Subaru outback wagon, the speed on that vehicle is 12 cycles every 10 seconds. The VIN of this vehicle was 2S3DA51737_. I bought by 2007suzuki Xl7 in December 2006. Ever since that time I had many different problems. The main one being the windshield wipers. Whenever it rains/snow heavily, the wipers fail to work on the low and normal speed. In order for me to make them work, I have to put them on the high speed first and then shift the wipers down to the lower speed. When I went to the dealership to complain, they actually told me that there was some sort of recall on the wipers, so they went ahead and changed them. That never fixed the problem. On 5-10 more occasions, the wipers failed to work again. We brought the car in and explained the situation. The dealership couldn't duplicate the problem, so they wouldn't fix it. We came to find out that the wipers failed to work properly when there would be a significant amount of rain on the windshield. The wipers have not worked properly for another 6 months. This problem occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008.

The car was a 2006 Volkswagen Passat. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is WVWGK93C96_. The contact complained about a windshield wiper problem. After engaging the windshield wipers into the on position they b worked intermediately based on speed at which the vehicle was traveling. This only occurred when the vehicle was traveling at less than 5 mph. Once the vehicle reached a speed of more than 5 mph the windshield wipers worked properly. The contact felt there may be a computer problem with the windshield wiper motor. After inspecting the vehicle the dealership was unable to determine the cause of this problem. The manufacturer said the windshield wipers were designed to work in this manor. No repairs have been made. This windshield wiper/washer motor issue occurred Friday, December 2, 2005.

The vehicle involved is a 2006 Volkswagen Passat. The VIN of the problem Passat is WVWAK73C66_. December 23 - leased a brand new 2006 Passat. Drove off the lot and on to the highway. Tried to wash windows, window spray worked, wipers did not. Stopped to check owners manual, I was using the equipment properly. The wipers would not work at all, all of a sudden they came on and would not shut off, basically working at will. December 24 - dealership closed, December 25 dealership closed and I was unable to use the car, fearing for the safety of my family with regard to the wipers. December 26 - took the car to the dealership, they put the car on the "monitor", said nothing was wrong with it, they were unable to explain why the wipers. Mechanic who looked at the car told us to get another car, don't keep that one. December 26- left relatives house, wipers turned on and would not shut off until after the car warmed up. December 27 - no issues. December 28 - left home for work, wipers turned on and did not shut off, again only once the car warmed up and I reached the dealership. Kept the car for two days, called to say they were replacing the motor as a precautionary measure, even there was nothing wrong with it. Crazy excuses. Luckily since they replaced the part that there was nothing wrong with the wipers are working. It was Friday, December 23, 2005 when this windshield wiper/washer motor issue occurred.

Windshield Wiper/washer Motor problem of Audi A8
2004 Audi A8l, purchased in 07/2004. Front wipers "hesitated" in the rain a couple of times. Local dealer said could not reproduce. A few months later, wipers completely stopped, while driving at highway speeds, leaving me without visibility for several minutes. Pulled over and removed/replaced fused. Wipers started up again. Local dealer said couldn't reproduce. Wipers failed two more times, and hesitated numerous other times, when I finally decided to not drive the car. Throughout all, dealer claims he's unable to reproduce the problem, Audi America disclaims all liability for accidents from wiper-failure. Car was garaged as unsafe to drive for the remaining 17 months of the lease. Just this week I found out that Audi germany knows about this problem, and has redesigned the wiper-motor before 02/2004. Numerous reports of this failure have surfaced on the internet, and exchanging the wiper-motor alleviated the problem. Audi should recall all affected vehicles and replace the wiper before someone gets hurt or killed. Furthermore, I request Audi refund my last 17 lease-payments as well as insurance and registration cost for the vehicle while it was garaged. This windshield wiper/washer motor problem happened on Mar. 1, 2005.
