The car was a 2004 GMC Envoy. I have been reading many of these post. I can't believe all of the things that have also happened to my Envoy. I have had my back window blow out while driving, thank god that both of my kids that were in the back seat were not hurt, they were just scared and still ask if it will happen again. I also recently just had to have a piece on the gas line fixed which was almost $900. 00 money that I didn't have and had to borrow. I am still paying it back. Now as for last night my low beams are not working, I bought new bulbs and that didn't work, so it is back to the mechanic. Oh and I have a check engine light that goes on and off. They really need to get on all of these things. It would be nice to have the car working the way it should be. I may just print these things up and bring to the GMC shop and see what the can do about it. I mean I really to love my SUV but this is crazy. I am now kind of scared to have my kids in the car. The car is a 2009 GMC Acadia. The vehicle identification number (VIN) of this GMC Acadia is 1GKER23D39_. I entered approximate date that I first reported to the dealership the condition of the leather seats. The leather seats are pealing. The sun visor broke off from the mirror. The console was pealing. I reported these before that time, but had to wait until the gentleman at the dealership was available. I was not pleased with the way he treated me. He acted as if I was not Smart in reference to my problems and was blaming it on wear and tear. Also I now have a headlight that has moisture in it. The dealership checked it for leaks and none were found, so how does that happen. I just had recall on light, but was inside the light. Now this is how I feel about that. It is me and my granddaughter and she was 12 when I purchased the vehicle. We used it for day to day travels and traveling. I have been and continue to be very careful and so does my granddaughter, with the way we take care of this vehicle. I am so disappointed in the fact that it was not taken care of properly. I never heard from the district representative regarding these problems and he told me she/he would get with me. GMC contacted me and the dealer several times and now it is still the same. GMC has really failed in their job in working with customers with problems. This issue happened on Sep. 6, 2011.

The vehicle involved is a 2006 Acura Tl. On or about April 2,2012 I noticed a crack in the dash on the passenger side near the airbag. 3 weeks later another crack on the drivers side dash. Went to Acura dealership after reading all the complaints and they offered to pay 90%. Fast forward to the week of may 22-28 there is now cracks outlining the passenger airbag all the way around it. The sides are starting to curl up and now 3 more new cracks on the drivers side dash as well. This all started 2 months ago at which time I had absolutely no cracks at all. I take very good care of my car and I also use a custom made sun visor every single day. I feel with all these complaints that there has to be some sort of defect. I'm not happy having to pay 150. 00 of my measly unemployment check to pay for this. It was Monday, April 2, 2012 when this visibility issue occurred.

VIN of the vehicle was 1J4GL48K87_. In 2010 I purchased a used 2007 Jeep Liberty from a dealership. Within the first month of the purchase the mechanism inside the front driver's side door broke causing the window to drop into the door rendering it unusable. I took the vehicle back to the dealership and they repaired the mechanism for free. In 2012 the same mechanism in the same door broke again. This time I was told that this is a common occurrence but was forced to pay for the repair myself as Jeep has not yet recalled the mechanism. Yesterday, December 21, 2013 the mechanism broke again this time in the front passenger side door. I have called the dealership again but have not yet scheduled a time to fix the unit. I do not feel as if I should have to pay for this repair as it is an on-going issue and obviously a defective product. The failure date was Sat., Dec. 21, 2013.

The vehicle involved was a 2007 Kia Motor Optima. The mechanism inside the driver side sun visor broke and the visor will no longer stay up. This blocks visibility to oncoming traffic. I searched for information about this problem on the internet and find that it is a common problem with the 2006-2008 kia Optima and also Hyundai there should be a recall so kia replaces these visors before they break and even after warranty has expired. If the visor breaks while someone is driving it can create a hazard as they driver can't see or needs to hold the visor up with one hand while trying to continue to drive. Rear window on Land Rover Lr3 dropped on my wife as she was unloading vehicle. The vehicle body attachment of the passenger side support arm failed and this problem has been reported within the Land Rover service organizations but is being treated as a warranty problem. My wife was hurt in this accident as she was hit in the head. I consider this a product defect that should be considered for a recall-- since Land Rover already acknowledges this as a problem. The VIN of this vehicle was SALAA25495_. My sunroof on my 2005 Land Rover Lr3 has same issues as below that was on a previous recall issue of a 2008 lr2 Land Rover recall number #08v055000
the vehicle was built with a sunroof. Failure of either the left or right hand side sunroof guide rail can occur when the sunroof is operated. Excessive stress can develop in the over-molded bracket which could lead to cracking during normal sunroof operation. If cracks occur and propagate in a certain area of the guide rail, fragments of the plastic over-mold material may detach from the guide rail and obstruct the operation of the sunroof. This is not a part in which you need to bring it in and service per the service manual to prevent mechanical breakdown, and the customer can have caused this then normal use. The car involved is a 2008 Mazda Tribute. Lock issue - hatchback and back window only
this is an issue that I have always had, and it is a pain in the neck. The hatchback door or window will not open using either the remote or the door unlock button in the car. After having groceries in the back, pizza, material being moved, etc. One has to do the following to access that area of the vehicle:
1. ) climb over the seat - many times not possible to really get at items in the back. 2. ) wait about 5 mins or so, and then the remote will unlock the door/window. 3. ) discovered that putting the key back in and turning it to accessory and then removing the key, the door/window can be unlocked. Not sure what the story is or exactly what steps must be done for this issue to occur, but it occurs often. Usually the sequence is, shut the car engine off, remove the key, shut off the cars lights, then try to access the back with the remote. When that doesn't work, try opening the car door and unlocking all the doors again. This won't work either. Try locking the vehicle again using the remote and try opening up the doors and the back. I believe that the 'doors' will unlock at all times, but not the back or the back window. Really a pain. . . . . . And embarrassing to have people watch you try to get into the back of the car, when there should be no problem. This issue happened on Thu., May. 17, 2012.

The car was a 1999 Mercedes Benz Slk. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is WDBKK47F7X_. The mirror is self-dimming using a light-sensitive liquid behind the mirror. The liquid leaked out of the mirror and created acid stains on the center console. The mirror is now blurry and shows ghost images of anything behind. It also no longer auto-dims when bright headlights approach from behind and there is no lever for the driver to use to manually dim it. The easiest thing is to just turn it away but that creates a safety hazard. I asked mercedes-benz corporate to help in this matter but they refused saying the part is out of warranty and there is no recall in effect. This visibility problem happened on Sep. 1, 2011.

The mirror contained a fluid which leaked out causing the self-dimming mirror to be smokey which you can now barely see out of and to fail to provide dimming against rear approaching headlights resulting in the driver to either be blinded or to have to turn the mirror away. There are many documented cases of these mirrors failing in various makes and models as a result of usually from the internal fluid leaking. The failure date was Tuesday, January 20, 2009.

The vehicle involved is a 2006 Mitsubishi Galant. The wheel covers on my car flew off random times going down the interstate. Tires were in good condition but it seems that anytime I went over 70mph I would lose a hubcap. This could cause an accident or car damage. Headliner in back window has started to come down blocking rear view. The dashboard passenger side has come loose from behind glove box. This houses the air bag could prevent proper deployment or dangerous deployment if its ever needed. Lastly, the clear coat on the trunk has chipped away. The car is a 2008 Subaru Impreza. VIN of the vehicle was JF1GE61638_. At 32,000 miles my drivers side sun visor spring mechanism broke during a cold morning(10-15f). It was replaced under warranty. Now at about 85,000 miles it broke again and I need to replace it myself. The dealership surprisingly had several in stock which was odd because this is not something a dealer would normally stock unless there is a trending problem with it. It's not me abusing it as I am don't treat my things in a fast forceful manner, I've also never had a problem with any other vehicle in hundred of thousands of miles. Yet, I have 2 of the exact same item failures in less than 100,000 miles. The safety issue here is that when the sun visor breaks, it hangs down perfectly vertical blocking the drivers view of the road. I pretty much had to drive to work holding the visor with my left hand. When I arrived at work I grabbed a screw driver and removed the visor until it was replaced. The vehicle involved was a 1999 Volvo S70. I had not diven this car for about a year because I bought a 2008 c70 that I was driving. I decided to start driving this one for the winter. On a rainy morning on my way to work, my windows frosted up inside so bad that I didn't think I was going to make it to work. My defroster failed. I just tried my car again and the defroster seemed to work - only slower- but now my dashboard is showing me a light that says etc. From reading on-line, it sounds like I should have received a recall letter about this. . Needless to say, I did not. Is Volvo going to take care of this matter - since I never received a recall letter or knew that there was such a problem?. The failure date was Nov. 21, 2011.

The vehicle involved is a 2003 Volvo Xc70. Shortly after buying my 2003 Volvo 70xc I read that black cars have a troubling higher rate of accidents. I had unfortunately purchased a black Volvo. I noticed that there is no chrome anywhere on the body, including the rear. There are no side lights, no door lights (my 1993 has door lights when the door opens to alert other drivers that there is a door open), nothing to help with safety issues, yet they advertise as being such a safe car. Having outside indicators on a black car is safety 101. I think that Volvo should be made to add outside safety features to this model. It was Friday, Sep. 10, 2010 when this visibility issue happened.

The vehicle involved was a 2012 Audi Q5. This is a design defect. The side mirrors are too large and placed in a location on the window that creates a blind spot and in particular the driver's side there are instances when you can not see a car coming at you from the left, or of you are turning left you cannot see if there is an island. While we have not had an accident, it is a hazard and should be rectified. This has given rise to a number of near accidents and I have tried to get Audio to listen to me. The failure date was Nov. 1, 2011.

The vehicle identification number (VIN) is WBAEV53464_. The vehicle had a crash. Headlights of 2004 BMW 330i with xenons are made by manufacturing company "zkw" and bound to fail. Visibility and light output becomes extremely poor, that you must drive around with extra lights, or high beams on. When you open up the reflective case, you will see that both front headlights driver and passenger side have burnt bowls, which do not allow any light output at all. This is extremely dangerous, I have gotten into an accident due to not being able to see far distance at night. Please address and investigate this matter immediately. This problem occurred on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011.

The car involved was a 2003 Cadillac Deville. The VIN of this vehicle was 1G6KD54Y23_. Car purchased 10/16/2003 with 15200 mileage. Left rear door regulator failed. This door could not have been used in 9 years more than 20-25 times. Dealer, royal Cadillac, charged $694. 95 for replacement. I complained to Cadillac, requesting reimbursement, and they refused. Research indicates that door regulator failures on this make and model were well known and published many years ago. Given the little useage of this door (we are senior citizens and rarely have rear seat passenders) I believe this defect to exist at the time of purchase. The failure date was Sat., Aug. 25, 2012.

The vehicle having this issue was a 2002 Cadillac Deville. Three of the four window regulators have broken and after repairing, within a year two of the windows regulators have broken again. This is an obvious manufacture defect that can cause a sudden distraction to the driver. In one situation, the window fell into the door while in a rain storm. This caused a sudden distraction to the road. I strayed out of my lane because of the sudden breaking of the regulator. Second time occurred when I was at a grocery store. I came out to find the rear window down which could have allowed someone into the car and rob or even worse. I have not seen this problem in any other car but the Cadillac Deville's. In speaking with other Cadillac owner's just about every single one of them reported the same issue. I think the government should be looking into the issue. It was Wednesday, March 17, 2010 when this visibility issue occurred.
