The second incident occurred while moving the vehicle around 5 miles an hour when the engine shut off again. Power steering and brakes failed to work. The third incident occurred traveling about 30 miles an hour with the same issues as above. The vehicle has been at the dealer twice with no solution at this time. car   Power Steering Failed problem of Chrysler Town & Country

The vehicle having this issue was a 2010 Chrysler town and country. I was turning a slow curve and I am not sure what caused it, but my engine turned off, my power steering and gas pedal failed. My brakes didn't seem to work as well and I had to come to a slowed stop and force my steering to turn onto an off road so I didn't cause an accident. When I came to a stop I turned the engine off and back on and the car started up right away and I have not had an issue since. I am not sure if I bumped the keys in the ignition or not. Unfortunately, I have had a few family emergencies and have had to reschedule the appt to get my car looked at and do not know the issue. I am concerned that it has to do with the recalls of cars with faulty key/ignition issues. I just bought this car that was supposedly certified back in November of 2013 with only approx. 37,000 miles on it. Should I give this back as a lemon and get a different vehicle?. It was Wednesday, March 5, 2014 when this power steering failed issue occurred.

It now needs a steering column which would cost around $3000. 00. I contacted consumer department at hundai corporate offices requesting a warranty decision review as I am unable to financially have this work done at this time. I told them it should be a recall since it is a very serious issue and sure to cause an accident. I went on line and there are multiple statements from others with this vehicle that have the same issues with the power steering failing while driving. I feel this is a very serious situation and a recall should be on this vehicle before injuries are caused. The response from hundai consumer department was they will not include it in the warranty and they are unable to help me. This problem occurred on 04/09/14.

It also affects the ability to maneuver in traffic until the vehicle is brought to a stop. The problem is intermittent and the dealer has not been able to diagnose the problem due to it's intermittent nature. Very dangerous emergency stopping of the car, engine stopped, all alarms on, steering nearly impossible to use without power. Had to tow the vehicle to service center. Volvo claims this is nothing more than a common place alternator failure (there has been a recall campaign for similar problems with auxiliary belt tensioner). Power steering failed although battery was fully charged. Found on the internet this occurring several times to other Xc60 drivers. As alternator failures without any warning are so "common place" and as they can have such very negative impact on safety, why isn't there any battery-based power steering survivability as on most other vehicles?. The panel lights on the car indicated steering failure, brake failure and low tire pressure and the car became inoperable. Fortunately traffic was avoided and there was no collision wit other vehicles. The vehicle was returned to the Volvo dealer on 9/14/2010 who confirmed that the power steering and computer system had failed on the car. After 72 hours the Volvo dealer, big dee Volvo, elmsford, NY returned the vehicle "repaired" to us after they claimed they had repaired and test driven the vehicle but could not assure us with any certainty that they knew what was wrong. car   Power Steering Failed problem of Audi S4

The power steering in my new 2013 Audi S4 failed while driving 4 days after purchase. I couldn't turn the wheel and needed lot of effort to turn it. I luckily managed to get back home. The power steering malfunction showed up on console when I was going at 35mph and I panicked but managed to control the car. I couldn't even park the car. As I took the car from a dealer who is 40miles away from my place I had to call them but they mentioned that they cant tow the car 40miles and gave a nearby service address. When I called the nearby service they said that they dont have any loaners and cant help. My purchase dealer finally sent a tow truck and I had to go along with them at 9 pm to the service center and even they mentioned that they don’t have loaners available. Luckily a lady then just dropped her loaner car which was given to me. The service center mentioned that the power steering module failed and needs to be replaced. I was shocked to see steering failure on a 4 days old Audi I clearly mentioned the dealer that I wont be taking the old car and asked for a new one. Its been more than a week and the Audi response was soo sick they cant find a similar car for me. If the color matches then the options I preferred wouldn't or if they match the color wouldn't. I am soo frustrated that even the so called premium brand cant even satisfy their customer with what they want? they decided what car I should be taking by giving me very few options which doesn’t satisfy what I want even after spending a lot. The steering failure is such a life hazard and would have caused an accident. Some serious action needs to be taken on this but dont know whom to contact. I dont know if there are any region wise head for Audi with whom I definitely want to talk but the advocate says that they cant help. This is the most scared and frustrated experience of owning a premium brand like Audi. It was June 11, 2013 when this power steering failed issue happened.

car   Power Steering Failed problem of Buick Enclave

The vehicle is a 2009 Buick Enclave. The VIN of this vehicle was 5GAER23D49_. At speeds between 25 and 45 mph, the power steering fails and the wheel is hard to steer to the left or right. The problem was intermittent; however, the problem is progressively getting worse. On one occasion, I attempted the make a right-hand turn at an intersection and almost hit a car to my left. After that incident, I brought the vehicle to a certified dealer and was told the power-steering gear and pump need to be replaced at a cost of approx. $3,000. Additionally, the condition did not qualify for warranty work. I continue to drive the vehicle because I have no choice at this time, but I have to be cautious at every turn and strong-arm the steering on occasion. Not bad for a $45,000 vehicle! thanks Buick!. It was 02/20/2013 when this power steering failed issue happened.
