The vehicle is a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) is 2A8GF78496_. Rust issue on front engine cradle I am from south charleston, wv resident and recently discovered through my dealers mechanic that I had a badly corroded engine cradle. We bought the car used and it just turned 100k miles. Dealer denied the recall, there is is a small window of vehicles manufactured between Feb. 23, 2004 and March 31,2004, a pretty small window. A couple of calls to Chrysler customer assistance has fallen on deaf ears. The dealer and Chrysler are not budging. It is not the money, it is the principle of a design problem that Chrysler is not fully standing behind. For reference, the Chrysler warranty bulletin is no:d-10-34 dated March 16, 2012. Subject is listed as (x26) front engine cradle extended warranty 2004-2005 Chrysler Pacifica's. We have a 2006 and have the same issue and Chrysler needs to recall all of the models affected! I have 3 children and a wife and we depend on this vehicle. Only had it one year and couldnt get it pass the 1st inspection due to the rusted out cracked engine cradle. Mechanic states it is not safe to drive!!!! I cannot get any explanation as to quite why that is from Chrysler despite numerous contacts with the customer care people from Chrysler and/or dealership. Apparently my best hope is that if I pay for the repair myself I might get a refund later if Chrysler decides to expand the group of covered vehicles. Help us please thank you. The car involved is a 2006 Ford Escape. The vehicle identification number (VIN) of the car was 1FMYU94136_. Began to notice a rattling noise/clunking in right rear corner of vehicle. Took the vehicle to our mechanic who told us that the right rear wheel well was completely rusted through and the shocks were exposed. Only the right rear wheel was rusted. Informed by our mechanic that the vehicle was not safe to drive and we would need to have it towed to the body shop. When we contacted the body shop and said we had an issue with the under body on our Ford Escape he new immediately that it was the right rear wheel well because it was the 3rd Ford Escape with the exact same problem in less than 2 months. We were fortunate that we only had to wait 3 days for the part as we were told that the last 2 Ford Escape owners had to wait 6 weeks because the part was on back order from Ford. Looked online and there were hundreds of complaints for Ford Escape with exact issue (always only the right rear wheel well) from 2004 on. Obviously this is a recall issue that should be address by Ford before someone is seriously injured or killed. This body issue occurred Monday, May 12, 2014.

I hydroplaned, going 10 mph under the speed limit, hit every quarter panel along the guardrail (including a head-on collision with the guard rail), and out of 10 airbags, not one deployed. I felt like I was bounced around the car like a rag doll (yes, I was wearing my seatbelt). Car was totaled, I sustained shoulder, neck, and wrist injuries, but was shocked that airbags did not deploy. This problem occurred on Sun., Sep. 1, 2013.

The car was a 2009 Honda Civic. There was crash involved with this Honda Civic. I was hit on the passenger side of the car by an SUV. The repairs were with genuine Honda parts but ever since then the front controls where the radio is has been extremely hot. Almost to the point I think I burn my hands to change the radio station. I think it may be hot enough to start a fire with melting the controls in the back. I have been told there is nothing that can be done or it will cost me a lot of money to diagnose it. I just see it as a safety issue to have the dash so hot it burns people. The passenger airbag did not deploy in the crash and possibly should have. This body issue occurred Feb. 5, 2012.

The vehicle having this issue was a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. The vehicle had a crash. The VIN of this vehicle was 5NPET46C27_. On may 17th, 2014 I was in an accident on interstate 95 in broward county, FL. A drunk driver hit me on the left side of my trunk then hit the cement median then came back and hit me in the middle of my driver side and back driver side door, then hit the median again came back towards my car and flipped and hit the front left side of my vehicle. So basically the whole left driver side of my car is smashed in. I was wearing my seat belt when this accident did occur. What my concern is, I did some research and it states the notable features included on this vehicle is six airbags standard. Not one airbag deployed and if I wasn't wearing my seat belt I would have been through the front windshield and probably lost my life. My entire left side of my body is damaged and the more severe injury is to my left leg and foot. With the exception of my left big toe, all other four toes have no feeling in them and my foot is deformed. I do plan on taking this issue to my attorney that is handling the accident case for me and hopefully Hyundai has a very clear explanation for why not one of the 6 airbags deployed. The failure date was 05/17/14.

The car is a 2005 Kia Motor Spectra. One blinker light would flash faster then the other. The radio would randomly scan stations continuously. Battery would die. 9/28/2013 when vehicle was started, all the lights in the vehicle began flashing/blinking and the car made a buzzing sound. When key was removed the flashing and buzzing continued for a minute longer. After a jump start the car started, but the blinker lever would no longer go down to turn on left blinker. Later that day aaa tested the battery which was no longer holding a charge and had to be replaced. Within the first year of ownership: front spoiler fell off while driving on the highway and replaced by purchasing dealer at no charge. Electrical on windows was intermittent, kia dealer in ontario (that is no longer in service) refused to do repairs, which were under warranty, stating they could only do oil changes on the weekends and refused to provide a rental car for the repair to be done during the week. 5/5/2014: requested a warranty report for vehicle from kia corporate and they stated they do no have record of that information. Had mechanic checked and codes c1513 and c1616 came up. Have been told this could have caused brake failure. Concerned that a part that was replaced one month before accident, had failed again. People will be injured or worse killed because of this problem. Been speaking to man in canada via internet, who has exact same vehicle, same year, same make, who also had brake failure. Spoke with kia, they refuse to do anything. Please do something about this before others are injured. The failure date was 11/12/2013.

The car involved was a 2003 Land Rover new Range Rover. The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) was SALME11433_. In October 2013 while I took my car to a private garage for oil change. The mechanic noticed that the frame on my vehicle was rotted out . He called me into the garage and showed me the problem. I immediately called the Land Rover dealership were the car was purchased new and they have been doing the service on the vehicle since it was new . I informed the service manager of the issue and I questioned the fact that no one at the dealership ever mentioned the rust issue on my vehicle. The service manager asked me to drive up to the dealership so they can take a look at it. Once at the dealership the service manager put up the car on the lift and was shocked to see how bad things were. He took pictures of the frame and contacted Land Rover main office and sent them the pictures. Land rover main office contacted me and told me that they have never seen anything like this before but they made the decision not to cover fixing the problem although it is a safety issue . My concern is that one day this car is going to break in half and a major accident would occur because of it. I really need your help. It was October 7, 2013 when this body issue happened.

The vehicle involved was a 2012 Land Rover Range Rover. There was crash involved with this problem. The VIN of the problem Range Rover is SALSK2D48D_. I was in an accident on 6/29/2013 with my new Range Rover sport luxury model. We took it to Land Rover of glen cove for repairs. After 30 days the car was not repaired and I was told the 1/4 panel was on back order until 8/23/13. Approx 8/20/13, I was told that the part was not coming and it was pushed back to 9/23/13. After following up earlier this week, I am now being told that the part is not coming until "possibly" 10/30/13. They claim there is not one single 1/4 panel in stock anywhere in the entire USA, and it is being made and shipped from the uk, "hopefully" it will ship on 10/16/13 from the uk, have to go through customs and be available by the end of October. Hard to believe it will even come then after all of the other false promises, but if it does the soonest I would get my car back is mid November; 4. 5 months later. I can't believe that automotive manufacturers are not required to stock parts for new cars? I feel that there is no end in sight and even after complaining to Land Rover corporate, all I am told is sorry you have to wait nothing we can do. Is there no protection or recourse for a consumer?. The car is a 2005 Lexus Rx330. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is 2T2GA31U05_. My dashboard began to show signs of cracking about a year ago. It started to crack around the radio/audio components and spread quickly like a spider web. Lexus agreed to replace the dashboard at no charge, but not the labor costs. While replacing it, they advised me that the power steering rack and pinion had severe fluid leakage on right side, boot deteriorated. The cost of this repair was $1,856. 00. There was also an issue with the left front cv axle inboard joint boot, an additional $412. 00. In reading all the complaints on this website and on the internet, it appears that the dashboard and the rack and pinion are a common problems that Lexus is aware of. A service representative also told me that the RX 350 has a significant problem with the rack and pinion, but Lexus is not willing to do anything about it. I am hoping that this brings light to these issues and something is done about this. It was 05/15/2014 when this body issue happened.

The vehicle involved was a 2006 Mazda Tribute. While driving to work I started to hear a banging sound from the back of my vehicle. It sounded like the back window was open & banging every time I hit a bump. I pulled over and made sure everything was shut. I proceeded to work but the banging persisted. When I got to work I checked the back compartment & removed my cargo incase that was culprit. On my drive home the banging still persisted. My husband looked at the vehicle and said that the shocks/struts were blown. I took it to the garage that night & it turns out that the passenger side rear wheel well was completely rusted through & there was no where for the shock to mount. When the mechanic pulled up my cargo mat in the back it is amazing that nothing fell out, the size of the hole from the rust is comparable to the size of a basketball. Welding is not even an option to repair this damage. There is no other rust or body damage to my vehicle. There was a protective coating on the inner wheel well to prevent this. The driver side is fine and is showing no sign of rust/rot. While searching the web for support I see this is a very common problem in the Ford escape and Mazda Tribute (virtually one in the same). When will something be done about this costly problem? as a side note, this car has been a problem since I bought it in 2006. I filed a magnus and moss warranty act suit against Mazda and won for numerous issues regarding the transmission and power train system. This issue happened on Wed., May. 14, 2014.

I own a 2003 Mercedes Benz Sl500. Like most owners of this vehicle, the baffle moves freely within the gas tank which causes a noise and is potentiall dangerous if a spark is created from the baffle hitting the inside walls of the gas tank. From my research it is a manufacture issue with the welding of the baffle to the internal wall of the gas tank. There is a tremendous amount of compliants and threads on mercedes forums. Please follow link to see all compliants. It is poor customer service and accountability from Mercedes Benz USA to not recall the issue. The vehicle involved is a 2014 Mercedes Benz S550. There was crash involved with this Mercedes Benz S550. The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) is WDDUG8FB1E_. I purchased a new 2014 mercedes S550 and the day after purchase, the airbag malfunction light came on. I set up an appointment to have this corrected, and was told it was fixed. A couple of weeks later, I was traveling at approximately 20mph, approaching an intersection where I did not have a stop sign. I noticed a large SUV traveling east bound at excessive speeds (guessing 35-40), which did not appear to be stopping, but could not stop in time to avoid the collision. The SUV impacted the driver's side of my vehicle at full speed. My vehicle spun and was hit again at the side and rear driver's side. I was pushed over the curb and into a snow bank where I eventually stopped after hitting the yield sign. I was trapped in my vehicle as I had carved thru the snow and all doors were blocked. The damage to the vehicle was on the driver's side front, side and back. The hit was hard enough to cause frame damage to the vehicle, needing frame repair. There were no airbags deployed during the crash and given the previous malfunction with the airbag system, this was a major concern for me. I notified Mercedes Benz of the issue, and it wasn't until several requests that they responded. They sent someone to the body shop to look at the car and confirmed there is frame damage; however, stated it was not hard enough of a hit to trigger airbag deployment. I have a hard time understanding how it can be hard enough to cause frame damage yet not trigger airbag deployment? this is a completely redesigned vehicle and mine was one of the first on the road. I am fearful that this is a larger issue that is not being addressed, or uncovered, since this is a recently released model. As a result of the impact, I sustained injuries to my neck, back and left elbow. I am hoping this could get address to avoid future injuries, or death, to other drivers and passengers. Thank you. The car involved is a 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander. The car had a crash. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is JA4LX31F14_. I crashed my Outlander in my parking lot, I was parking slowly, pushing the brake slowly, the car was at the final position in my spot and suddenly the car crashed into a tree. The tree was about 1 meter distant from my car. . . I´m 100% sure that the accident was a sudden acceleration. I had another similar episode about 3 months ago, also in my garage, but a that time I was ready to turn to the right to go the door and the car suddenly accelerate very fast without me pushing the gas pedal, but fortunately I had plenty space to react, not this second time, but we are humans and the first reaction is to think that we made a mistake, but no ,I´m 100% sure that I did not pushed the accelerator. . And with this second incident I was crazy thinking every minute in what happened, and in the possibility that will happen again with less fortune and with me and other people injured or death. This thing was very very confusing. The VIN of the car is ML32A3HJ9E_. The vehicle had a crash. On April 18, 2014 only 2 months after purchasing their brand new 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage my parents were hit head on after a person swerved into their lane. Speed was not a factor, the investigation is still under way, and we still don't know why they both died (driver with massive head trauma including a broken jaw, passenger with massive abdominal trauma. ) there will be an autopsy on both vehicles, but the driver of the other vehicle walked away with a broken leg and heel. Why? I have looked long and hard at this new mitsubushi and I am wondering why their new safety system that would effectively keep them in a steel cell during an accident was compromised. This body issue occurred Friday, April 18, 2014.

The vehicle involved is a 2013 Nissan Altima. While I was driving the vehicle on a residential neighborhood at a rate of approximately 30mph, with my six month-old baby in the back seat, the hood flew open and smashed into the windshield. I narrowly avoided losing control of the vehicle despite having my view completely obstructed by the presence of the hood on the windshield. Evidently, I had accidentally pulled the interior hood release while refueling being that the hood release and gas gage release are right next to each other. Nevertheless, as I am certain you are aware, the secondary latch should have prevented such a nearly tragic sequence of events. As a result of the hood colliding with the windshield, the vehicle has sustained significant damage. It was Wed., Apr. 30, 2014 when this body issue happened.

The car was a 2008 Subaru wrx. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is JF1GE74668_. I have been noticing a creaking and popping noise from my clutch/brake pedal assay for some time now and have found it to be the brace that holds the clutch and brake pedal to the firewall of vehicle is spot welded in 2 places at top of bracket and the spot welds have cracked and broken and the brace now moves around and the clutch and brake pedal bind and stick. I have since noticed it getting worse and noticed the 4 spot welds on the bottom of the brace have cracked and broken also. As a auto technician I see problems with vehicle all the time and this is a huge safety concern if the brace as to break off completely the vehicle would loose braking capabilities and the ability for the clutch to disengage the engine from the transmission in an emergency I have noticed on multiple forums that there are a lot of owners with the same problem. I feel as Subaru should perform a recall/repair for this issue as to not have vehicles being unsafe to drive. If needed I can supply pictures of my vehicle and the point of failure. This body problem happened on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.

The vehicle was a 2008 Suzuki Xl7. The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) was 2S3DB11738_. Front door locks would not respond to key fob and would stay locked. Had to use key to get into the car. Got it fixed under warranty. Now, rear locks intermittently wont respond to fob. Either the rear doors stay locked( and cannot even be opened with the handle from the inside) or sometimes they wont lock when you leave the car. The lock/unlock button inside the car does not override the situation. This vehicle has no key option for the rear doors. Thankfully, no one has been stuck in the rear seats and unable to get out. No rhyme or reason as to when it happens and when they will start working again. Cant trust that the car is securely locked or that people can get out when it decides that it doesn't want the doors to unlock. It was Thursday, July 30, 2009 when this body issue happened.

The car is a 2010 Toyota Prius. Crash was involved with this problem. Whilst stopped at a traffic light, behind a suburu, the brake failed and hit the suburu. (this was not the first time the brake failed, but fortunately there were no other cars involved when the car did not stop. The driver believed that black ice was involved, but after the incident with the suburu, realized that it was brake failure. ) believing that the auto could no longer be trusted, it was sold. Toyota insisted it was driver error. , and claimed that there was no fault in the breaking system. This issue happened on May. 23, 2014.

The car was a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta. There was crash involved with this Volkswagen Jetta. The VIN of this Jetta is 3VWTL71K69_. Our car is driven by 2 drivers- I am 5 feet tall, my husband is 6'1". The car seat gets moved back and forth a lot as we both drive the car daily. In late November my husband moved the seat all the way back and it made a cracking noise. We later noticed the air bag light was on. He found the broken wire under the seat and repaired it, but the light was still on. A call to the dealership revealed they knew about the issue and the fix was to "not move the seat so much". The next week- before we had a chance to take the car in to get the light cleared- the car was involved in a collision. I rear ended a car in slow-and-go traffic when she switched lanes in front of me while I was accelerating. $15,000 in damage was done to the car but the air bags did not go off. A witness that stopped to help had to pry the door open to get me out. The fighter fighters all remarked that they could not believe the air bags didn't go off. No airbags could have been a huge issue if the accident was worse. This problem occurred on Dec. 3, 2013.

The contact suffered from medical distress as a result of the failure. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer for diagnosis but was not repaired. The car is a 2012 Volvo S60. Crash was involved with the Volvo S60. The VIN of the car is YV1622FS6C_. On August 24, 2013, I was involved in a car accident. A car stopped short on the highway. The car in front of me hit that car. I then hit the car in front of me. I had only a few seconds to react. Another car then re-ended me. My airbag nor seatbelt pretentioners deployed. I had difficulty turning the car off. The car was totaled. Within a few weeks of the incident, I reported the matter to Volvo. They sent an investigator out. Volvo claims that sensors were not activated since the damage was above them, and there was not any problem. However, at the speed I hit, there is no excuse for why the airbags should not have deployed. Either the car is designed improperly in terms of where the sensors are placed or there is a manufacturing defect. As I understand it, other S60s (not my vid#) have been recalled for an electrical problem that could cause airbags not to deploy. This problem occurred on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013.

The VIN of this A4 is WAUBF48H07_. The 2009 Audi A4 convertible rear window's adhesive on my car (and others, according to internet/youtube postings) is becoming detached from the top. The only choice owners have is to purchase a new convertible top. Dealers charge between $4500-$6000. Private body shops charge approx. $1600+. While researching the issue, I discovered that it is a relatively common problem with Audi convertibles, as confirmed by the Audi service rep who informed me of the issue during a service visit. If that is the case, Audi should hold the adhesive company responsible for repair, not the Audi customer. Purchasing an entirely new top is unreasonable and unfair. My request: Audi USA should issue a recall, whether the car is still under warranty or not, at no charge to its customers. Should recoup costs from the adhesive manufacturer. At the very least, customers, at the point of sale, should be warned of the possibility of the defect that happens soon after purchase. This problem occurred on Thursday, Sep. 5, 2013.

The vehicle involved was a 2012 BMW 528i. I was driving at 30, and hit a pot-hole. All of sudden my rare passenger door popped opened. My dash board started lighting, and also the interior lights started lighting. The car is a 2007 BMW 335i. I was driving on I-405n at around 70 mph, the pace of the very light traffic that night, and there were no other cars within 100 yards in front of me. There were no overpasses or pedestrians anywhere nearby. All of a sudden, my sunroof spontaneously shattered! a large piece of it broke off and then was blown backwards, bouncing off my roof and trunk, scratching the paint. The person driving behind me drove over the sunroof and shards of glass. Luckily, I had my sunroof sunshade closed which prevented the shards of glass from showering on me when the sunroof exploded. This problem occurred on February 5, 2014.

The vehicle involved was a 2005 Cadillac Srx. Right and left turn singles have gon out 6 to 7 times sence I have owned the car. When they are replaced they only last a few weeks. My dealers sates that the plugs need replaced. I have heard that this affects 2004 through 20009.
